+ -1 moreNot exactly sure of the dates, but I think trimming was in the Fall of 2011 & treatment was in Spring 2012 . This was the 2nd (or maybe 3rd) time Shearer's has been out to do work for us. They had to have the climbers this time for the oak tree (which I think might increase the cost of a job.) Anyway, they have always been very professional. They are knowledgeable & always offer information on how best to care for your trees (other than just trimming). We had "big plans" for landscaping around our oak tree, we were even considering extending the deck around it since it provides so much shade. He advised against it. Disturbing the roots on a tree this old might have killed it! Sooo, glad we mentioned it to him! He also gave us other helpful information on how to landscape without harming the tree. Will be using again & will/would recommend to others.
Description of Work: Tree Trimming (several trees), Hormone treatment, trimming, care advice on our 225+ yr. old White Oak tree.

Description of Work: We have an old large sugar maple, the trunk split, it may have been twinned. The branch leaned over part of our 2 story house, feared expensive damage to car or worse yet, roof of house. One person came out, left estimate, I agreed, a decent price, removal of limbs with chipper. Mailed check after he left bill, I consider it a good deal, he balanced the rest of the tree weight on both sides, opposite trimmed side, pleased., confirmed by phone - Tom Roscoe Granville, IL

+ -1 moreThey were very professional and prompt. They actually showed up earlier than they said but that was ok.
Description of Work: They trimmed several dead limbs off trees in our yard and they also cut back some branches that had grown over the house. There was no clean up, they took the clippings away with them. Overall it was a good job!
