Description of Work: DAL is our go-to for any home project. We've worked with them for a few years and have recommended them to our friends and neighbors. The work is always high quality and we've never been disappointed. Tim, our project manager, is always accessible and responsive and their team and sub-contractors are knowledgeable, courteous, on-time and clean up when they leave the house for the day. We recently had them perform a kitchen update, which, in a 120 year old home last updated in the 90's, didn't come without some unique challenges and surprises. They rolled with the punches and gave us creative options for getting what we wanted done and not breaking the bank on change orders, etc. The kitchen looks great, exactly what we wanted. Will use them again for all future home projects.

Description of Work: I contacted DAL for an estimate on a porch tear down, rebuild. They came out and within a week sent an estimate. They were very thorough but the estimate was much higher than the others received.

Description of Work: DAL built a new side porch/deck for us. It started out being a repair, and at our request turned into a total rebuild. The work was done promptly, and all debris was cleaned up. Everyone we dealt with from DAL was professional, courteous and accommodating. The work schedule went according to plan. I highly recommend DAL.

Description of Work: The online scheduling did not work and I had to call about week later to get an estimate for a basement remodel. The contractor showed up on time and was very thorough. But it then took another week and half to get the written estimate which ended up being well over our budget.

Description of Work: My spouse and I contracted with DAL to tuckpoint our house, rebuild our deck, gut-rehab our bathroom, and undertake a few minor related and unrelated painting and repair jobs. DAL started work on August 14 and completed all work on September 11. DAL's project manager made sure that all the finishes and major and minor details of the job were completed to our satisfaction. My spouse and I are very satisfied with the price and quality of the work. We would hire DAL again.

Description of Work: The owner himself came for the appointment stating that because of the town I live in so corrupt he personally does the estimates but rarely does jobs in my suburb. He stated that since angies list lowered their membership prices the site was attracting "tire kickers" and there were multiple class action suits against the site. He also tried to do a phone consultation instead cause he dropped by earlier in the day and wrote a estimate for a new deck $25k (we only asked for repairs) and was upset when I insisted in keeping the appt (I left work early to meet him) he spoke down to my husband and myself and complained he was driving in. rush hour traffic (he chose the time).

Description of Work: DAL did a good job working with the conditions a very challenging building and building management team, permitted. When the project finally began moving, their workers were very creative and barrier-resistant. I was impressed by the communication directly from their president when times got tough. I would use them again.

Description of Work: It was a multi-job project: we needed rotted timbers along the front sidewalk replaced; a burst section of our downspout replaced; and soffits,fascia and siding applied to 3rd floor sunrooms. DAL was responsive on arriving for a site inspection of the work to be done, a little tardy on providing estimate, did stop by to pick up the signed contract and down payment and went ahead and replaced front wood timbers the next day due to cold weather conditions. They also removed and 'emptied' the clogged downspout. However, lack of communication and delays in sending a crew to finish the project were a concern, as we had to send numerous emails to determine when the work would begin. When the date and time were confirmed, a sub-contractor rang my front doorbell the day before and before 8:00am! I was glad they could start early but didn't really appreciate not being informed and at such an early hour... | |There was some confusion as to what was discussed regarding the sunrooms at the original site inspection and what was to be done when they arrived. The rep had to email me a diagram to give to the crew. The sub-contractors worked in below freezing temperatures for two days; they didn't replace the downspout section until the last day. When they were finished, I was surprised at the appearance of the sunroom siding (it looked to me like drywall with spackled over nails)and there were some gaps. Called DAL and made an appointment to discuss my concerns. The rep. arrived with the crew, who applied a seal around a gap at the base of the downspout, and I was told that the 'drywall' appearance was how the freeze board was supposed to look. The crew did fill in the holes around the fascia and wipe off excess sealant, but it was not what I had expected.

Description of Work: DAL builders came out to provide an estimate to build a roof deck. We decided we need to wait another year before building for other reasons, but DAL was professional, timely arrived for appointments, and provided detailed and reasonable estimates. DAL also was responsive to phone calls and additional questions which I greatly appreciated. We are most likely going to hire them to build our deck when the time comes.

Description of Work: Removed and replaced an old rotten deck. Dug and set post in concrete. Doubled the deck size and made custom corners to make it look more interesting. Dave helped get all necessary permits and was friendly and easy to work with.
