THE TREE GUY

After getting 3 quotes, the Tree Guy was tied for the best price. Add to the fact that Keith was the first to call me back, the first to stop by and give me a quote, and that he was local put it over the top. Would absolutely hire again.

Very well. First off, Keith is a very nice gentleman: no high pressure, flexible, and reliable. He did a lot of work for the price that I paid, and I'm truly appreciative. He cleaned up the job area excellently. The whole thing went without a hitch. I'm a very happy customer.

It went well. Kevin and a coworker came much later than the scheduled time, however the work they accomplished that day was excellent. My trees were overlapping my roof and my neighbors roof. Making it easier for squirrels to enter. Kevin also trimmed a tree next to my garage as well. Overall he did an excellent job and I woud definitely use his services again and recommend him to others. His prices were excellent as well, especially in comparison to other tree services on Angie's list.

Showed up on time - same day as initial call and completed work in 2 hours. Cleaned up all debris. Estimate came in a bit lower that one other local company and significantly lower than another. Very friendly - owner was on the job. Listened to me, gave advice.

A written Estimate was provided by Tree Guys on 06/25/13. Signed by Homeowner on July 8, 2013. They set up 3 different times for this work and never showed up. They never called and said they were not coming out. I called them every time and got a song and dance about them needing to schedule a crane for the trees and the crane guy kept backing out. They NEVER called me - I always called them. So i have a signed estimate from them that I accepted and they have their copy. I think that is called A CONTRACT!! I can not believe that they are still doing business with practices like this. Oh by the way...they diddled around long enough that I never could get someone else to do the job because of the CONTRACT.

The Tree Guy came and gave me a very fair estimate for the removal of a tree and the clearing some branches from another tree off the power line. He came out, gave the quote and a week later I called him to scheduled a time when he could come out. I caught him at the a good time, and they came over the next day while I was not home and did the work. They cleaned up the back yard, and you could not tell that they were even there - except for the fact that the tree was gone! ;-) If we ever need tree service again, we will always give them a call.

I was very pleased with the service.

There was a little miscommunication about when to start the work but once i called they came right out and did a great job for a very reasonable price. I have a lot of trees on my small property so I am sure I will be calling them again.

I called them more than once and they never returned my calls, much less came out to see what I needed. I went with someone else for the project.

The price was reasonable and he performed the service within a week or so of the call; however, when giving the quote, he asked if I wanted the roots removed. Not knowing any better, never having had a a tree removed, I said no figuring that it was fine that the roots would naturally degrade over time. What I did not realize, and was surprised to see, was a ~4" stump sticking out of my yard. I called and asked that he take the stump down to grade, which they did after some delay. Overall good service and would use again, but do ask about stump removal upfront.

We called The Tree Guy because he is local and we found him here on Angie's List.He came out, made some excellent recommendations.We really like his "all's cool" and very cheerful mannor. We set a date for the work.For the job he came back w/ a helper, equipment and a truck. Trimmed everything and hauled away the debris.(The Tree Guy did not show up punctually for either the estimate or the job, but this is agricultural work.)Anyway, the work was EXCELLANT. The Tree Guy is a pleasure to work with. And our house looks better than it has in years.

The price was great. They were on time. They picked up after themselves. It was an all-around good experience. I would definitely use them again.

They asked for how much we wanted to pay. They gave us a ballpark of $1500 but we told them that we would pay them only $1200 and they were fine with that. All the work that they did was really great. I didn't need to be home for them do it. I was a little worried about the trees coming down because we were really close to the neighbour's house. However, they were really good about it. They swept off everything well. They didn't get anything into other neighbor's yards. They went over and even talked to the neighbours so that we didn't have to do that. It was a really good service. However, sometimes they get emergency calls in between the service when there are storms. So, there was a pause before they came back and finished our work because of a storm but I understand that. They really saved us from being home for it so its not like I had to rearrange my schedule with them because of the pause. When I call they pick up the phone everytime. I don't have any experience with the pricing of other companies. I'm sure there is someone who would do it cheaper but I don't know if it would be as good though. I would absolutely use The Tree Guy Company again.

They were very safety conscious for themselves and street/sidewalk traffic. Very thorough with cleaning up branches and raking and sweeping. They took all limbs and trunk sections in their truck leaving area clean.

The price was reasonable. They were punctual and got back to us compared to other companies that we contacted. It was a small tree to remove and others didn't even return our calls. They were more responsive than other companies.

As usual, the job went perfectly! The workers, supervised by the owner Keith, did a wonderful and complete job. No surprises, except that when they were high up in one of the box elders, they found another large dead branch. They saved the branches so that we could see what was trimmed or removed. We have a large patch of pachysandra on the side of the house underneath the large mulberry trees that they were trimming and they were very careful to disturb it as little as possible. Their clean-up was excellent.

The bush removal occurred on time, but it took repeated calls to get them to come back to grind out the stumps. Some stumps remain which I will have to dig out myself, but most are gone. However, the price was so good that I am overall very satisfied with the experience.

The owner came out and gave me a quote and I liked the guy. They were very responsive and competitive on price. The subject of insurance came up and I asked for proof of the insurance. He said that they normally don't do that, but that he would get registered with the village if I wanted him to in order to proceed. He also requested 50% down before the work had begun. After a bit more talking, he said that he didn't think that it was going to work out for him to do the job. He is a busy guy and wasn't rude about it, but I felt a little concerned over the lack of proof of insurance.

THey were the lowest bid. They explained what they were going to do and why they were doing it that way. They were quick, efficient and left the yard clean.

I called The Tree Guys to have the fallen tree limb removed from our deck. Within an hour they were here to give an estimate, which was very reasonable, and they then completed the removal. They also removed the limb above it since it may have proven a hazard if it fell. They completed the work quickly and professionally, cleaning up and removing the limb afterwords. I also asked for and received an estimate for removing two other trees and trimming back many others to the yard line. That estimate was also very reasonable and I definitely plan to schedule that work before the end of summer.

Keith was our main contact person. Overall, they did a fantastic job and we are extremely pleased with their work and the price they charged. Scheduling can be challenging at times because of the weather this time of year, but they did their best to get to us as soon as they could. We are very happy with their work and recommend without reservation!

Their service was very speedy. When I called them, they came within 20 minutes to give an estimate, and then they removed the trees within probably 12 hours of getting the clearance for tree removal. The young man was very knowledgeable and professional, and he knew exactly what he was doing. Their demeanor was excellent. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

They arrived early on the day planned, were done in a couple of hours and cleaned up nicely. They were great to work with and supplied some extra information about the other trees and bushes on our property, which we recently purchased. We will be having them do more work later.

They were polite and were on time. They answered all of my questions and were reasonably priced.
