Mike was very professional. I spoke with him about applying windows films to my windows, the conditions of my windows and the goals. He explained to me that for my intended use, window films would not be useful. I respect him for turning down business when it is not appropriate. We had a great experience with Mike at Excel Window Tinting. On our initial call, he was very informative and helped walk me through the available options. Once we'd made a decision, Mike came out quickly to install our privacy film. He arrived as scheduled, was very personable, and did a great job on the install – all for what I believe to be a fair price. (I didn't comparison shop before hiring Mike, so I am going on gut/faith somewhat on that issue.) I will happily hire Mike again if the need arises.

Perfect, the windows look great! The glare is gone, the heat transfer in the house is gone and the look from the outside is clean and perfect. The view from the inside is crystal clear day and night, I can't recommend enough! Very happy.

We called Mike Lavery at Excel Window tinting, after reviewing providers on Angie's list. Mike promptly returned our call and scheduled an appointment at our convenience. During the appointment, Mike removed the tinting from one pane, so we could compare the color and degree of tinting among the various options available. Mike explained the cost versus performance versus appearance of the various films, and we narrowed the choices to three during his visit. Mike left samples and literature behind, so my wife and I could continue to evaluate them under different daylight conditions. Within a couple of days Mike provided a clearly written detailed quote, and we selected the film, and scheduled installation time and date. Mike and his assistant arrived right on time, and over the course of six hours installed tinting on 18 separate windows, some of which required a ladder to access. They thoroughly removed all the old film first, and did a great job of cleaning up all the little chips of old film (which have a tendency to stick to whatever they land on). Mike and his assistant worked quietly and efficiently, and did a great job on the installation. We even added a storm door window to the installation while Mike was here, after he explained the pros and cons of tinting this type of window. Timely, efficient, informative, quality installation, clean and quiet. And Mike really took the time to explain options and to make sure we selected a film we would be happy with - color, opacity, durability. We are very pleased with the work Excel Window tinting performed.

Mike was very helpful. He sent me a link to various films and after selecting a few samples, we chose one and within a week Mike received the film and came out to install it. It was a quick and easy job and it looks great!

They were wonderful from first call through the installation of the tinting material.

Mike left samples for us-we were not home. I called him to discuss the right shade of tint. And then arranged a date. He arrived promptly on Wednesday June 29, 9:30 am.. Thoroughly cleaned the inside of the patio window. Applied the liquid which adhered the film. At no time was there any odor. He is an expert in his job. He also advised me about when I could clean and what I could use. He also said if I had any problem to call him. I am very pleased with his work and my selection of the tint.

Called just before coming over as promised - arrived on time. Removed old inferior tinting material which had been applied by a different contractor. Applied new tinting material quickly and left work site clean. Very pleased with results, would use again.

Mike of Excel provided high quality service from beginning to end. He spent a signficant amount of time with me answering my questions to help me determine which of his products were best suited for my needs (blocking of sun to avoid fading of a new wood floor and nearby kitchen cabinets). He was very informative and helpful, and never tried to sell me anything more than I needed. He quoted me a price over the phone, which I greatly appreciated because it meant one less time I needed to be home to meet him. That price was very reasonable, and best of all, he did not impose a minimum charge even thought this was a small project, unlike other competitors that I contacted. The actual project was seamless. Mike showed up exactly when promised. He completed the job quickly and neatly. As for the work, the tinting was just what I hoped for -- unobtrusive and seemingly effective. On top of all this, Mike is a very nice guy who was patient and cordial. I will use him again if I require further tinting work.

On time and knowledgeable, professional, but price too high.

I know this was probably a small job, but Mike responded very professionally and timely to meet and review my project. The quote was very reasonable and his explanation of materials and options was excellent. I am even more pleased that after we received our quote, Mike was able to find a better material to use for the privacy film on our front door. Mike did the work himself and it looks fantastic. You can not even tell a film is on the window, and they have all served their needs wonderfully.

It was great. When my wife called, Mike, the owner was very responsive. Mike came out, measured and gave us an estimate. He was very patient with my questions and comparisons with competitive products. Excel really knows this business and does work at residential and in commercial buildings. We decided to move forward and he was able to come back out in a couple of days and complete the work. So far so good. It looks great and I am glad I went with Excel.

We are very pleased with the result. Our new dining room rug will be safe from extreme sun exposure, and we can enjoy the two rooms without blinding glare in the late afternoon. The color is barely noticeable and there is no sense that the rooms are darker now that winter has arrived. Glad we called Mike!
