Excellent. We couldn't be more pleased with the outcome and with the entire process with Durk and Dan and team. Durk bid on the project and provided really great ideas for our closet build out that not only saved us money but worked best for the space. He provide a very detailed estimate so we could see and understand every element of the job. We wanted to purchase our own finishings (vanity, tile, fixtures and countertops). But Durk provided a spreadsheet outline what we need to buy and when. We were able to use that to build our budget The initial price was not the highest nor lowest bid received but it was definitely the most clear. Our only initial reservation was that Durk said the job would take 10 weeks were other bids were in the 6 week range (1 other said 12 weeks). Durk stuck to his guns and said he really believed it was a 10 week job and that others were under estimating. He was absolutely right. There is no way the job could have been done in less time. The job was a major gut of the bathroom and involved building two closets in the bedroom plus painting the second floor (including woodwork). It was a big job but they kept everything clean throughout the job and restored everything. We moved and expanded the shower, all new tile, vanity, custom bathtub surround added a sink - the works. The quality of the work is excellent! The teams were all pleasant and polite. There was great communication throughout the entire job. Dan was the project manager and he was always available and answered any questions we had very quickly. They were also flexible and offered ideas about the best way to solve problems. The only changes to the budget were entirely our decision and we understood the cost implication before we made the change. In the end, they finished one day earlier than plan and were right on budget. I highly recommend Budget Right and would certainly use them again. Our bathroom is beautiful and the process, while intense was made much better by having a great partner with Budget Right.

Right after I purchased the deal, Dirk responded immediately and was very flexible on when he could meet. Dirk showed up a little early, took measurements of my kitchen, and gave me great advice on what I should do with my kitchen given the duration I plan to stay in my house. He only stayed about 20 minutes and then sent me the 3-D plans a week later which were good. There are a few things I wish I would have been aware of. I was under the impression this was more of a design consultation and there would be 3-D plans created on a software program (like you see on HDTV). I should have asked more questions in the beginning but I think people should be aware of it. Also, Budget Kitchens does not help you choose cabinets, countertops, backsplash, etc. and they do not bring samples of any kind. Instead, they provide you a sheet with a list of suppliers they use and you are responsible for visiting these suppliers and picking what you want. In the end, I decided to reface my cabinets instead of a complete remodel.

Dirk came and talked about the options for remodeling my kitchen. I didn't really know where to start with the project, and he had ideas and advice. He seemed to know his stuff, and gave me several good tips and things to consider based on his experience. He sent over very professional design plans soon after our conversation.

It was okay. They came out and gave an estimate.

He was really knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We went over the plans and he was very realistic and kept me grounded while we worked on the design. He told me it would be a week before I could get the designs but I actually got them that very night! He had vision and worked with me and created something that will be very beautiful. For a full gut job and reorientation of kitchen, which would include new lighting, new electric, new everything he quoted us about 50/60,000 which would depend on our choices (as we will choose everything that went it). This is a good price for a high-end kitchen. We were really impressed and we will be calling Dirk to start the project once we get the money together, now that we know the price. Also the designs that he sent were awesome.

Contractor came onsite and provided general ideas and general numbers but no formal plans. We were hoping for something more specific on ideas of repositioning cabinetry, appliances, etc. Very friendly but we expected more from the description.

Went very well, came just when he said he would and sent us beautiful plan for new kitchen. We have not yet aware work to anyone

Was looking for basic replacement of old cabinets with new cabinets for the kitchen. Overall the employee was very knowledgeable and detailed but pricing was high for what needed to be done. Ended up not going with the provider.

Dirk was prompt in coming to see the kitchen, and he also provided the detailed plans in a timely manner. The design is original and very nice! We are planning to follow up with him in getting the kitchen done.

"I am free on weeknights after 5:15pm and most weekends." I sent an email to Dirk requesting to set up a time for the measurement. He called back and we set up a time the following Tuesday. As I was coming home, he called at 4:30 asking if I was home. I told him that I was not yet and asked if he was there already. He said he was, our appointment was at 4:30. I told him that our appointment was at 5:30 but he was adamant it was at 4:30. I said I was still half an hour away and gave him the option that he could either wait or reschedule. He said he would wait. A minute later, he calls back and tells me to just get the refund from Angies List because I "missed my appointment". Getting frustrated, I told him that I did not miss our appointment because it was at 5:30. I do not get home until 5pm EVERY day and would never make a 4:30 appointment. I even wrote in the email I sent him that I don't get home until 5:15ish. He repeated to get a refund from Angies List. Other than canceling due to miscommunication, at least he still sounded professional. Who knows? Maybe no one was wrong and he was saying 4:30 and I was saying 5:30, like that insurance commercial where they kept saying "Frog Protection" and "Fraud Protection". I was already rushing to get home early for our "appointed" time but was willing to reschedule if he was busy. His rating is great on Angies List so he doesn't care. That's the impression I got. He was pleasant when we made the appointment. Perhaps email him and confirm your time if you do business with him.

Dirk is extremely professional and very helpful. He answered all of my questions, made detailed recommendations (including many ways that I could spend less) and provided me with a great proposal. I have not moved forward at this point with the kitchen remodeling project for other reasons. But if I choose to move forward, it's really likely that I would use Dirk's company.

Coupon had expired as I was away for business and too busy to schedule service. Dirk honored it anyway and provided detailed advice on the pros and cons of various ideas we had. Also provided a detailed quote quickly after our initial meeting.

As stated above, no work was provided because the company representative informed me that my home was outside their service area.. The boundary he gave was approximately 20 blocks away from my home. I felt that they should have made an exception but I realize they must draw the line somewhere. Unfortunately for them, they missed out on possibly doing a complete kitchen and 3 bathroom remodel.

We purchased a deal on Angie's List to have our kitchen evaluated and designed. Scheduling was a breeze and the owner was on time and very professional. He went through many details and provided a plan, as promised. When we are able to go through with the project, we will definitely contact Budget Right again.

-I was very impressed. The most impressive aspect was how intently the vendor listened to my "wish list" and then drew up plans that focused on those priorities. Lots of vendors act like they are listening to you, but Dirk Hoerr of Budget Right REALLY listens and acts accordingly!!!! That is so very important, as it is my kitchen and I need a contractor who will make my priorities their priorities, rather than building the kitchen they want. Having said that, I was nevertheless impressed with Dirk's generosity with his knowledge and expertise. He was candid about things in my 22-year old kitchen that were not functional, as well as items that dated it. That was very helpful info since I am quite ignorant of those important aspects and it will help me adjust my priorities to take into account that advice in order to get the best kitchen possible. Due to various life issues and my general slowness about pulling any trigger that involves money (!), I have not yet moved forward with the project, but I really liked the photos I saw of Dirk's work and I really was pleased with my experience with this "Big Deal" offer.

They were GREAT. Helpful, knowledgeable and easy to work with. I was able to take their work to my contractor and get the kitchen installed.

It went fine. He came on time and consulted and drew up a diagram. We didn't end up remodeling, but it was good to explore the possibility.

Dirk is a professional. The most impressive thing about him is that he is honest. He wasn't using his expertise to sell us a new kitchen. Rather he gave his professional opinion about our ideas and how some were realistic and some were not. We're still evaluating our options and talking to other designers but for the money it was well worth talking to Dirk and getting plans.

Budget Right was very easy and pleasant to work with, from the salesman to the laborers. Every one of their staff, including the electrical and plumbing subcontractors, was friendly and courteous. They did a great job, addressed every concern or question that popped up during the process, and provided us with helpful guidance in making choices about all the stuff we needed to pick out. I have absolutely no complaints whatsoever, and highly recommend them.

the deszine was perfect just what I wanted but we could not afford . Then a 2nd deszine was offered, beautiful, but I still want the first one. Still trying to work on both deszines.

I received prompt response and appointment. He came out on time for the appointment and had a lot of advice for the kitchen. In less than 1 week, the finished plan came by.email! Awesome service.

He was very professional and timely. The plans are very workable.

Set the order though Angie's List. Got a call right away. Got an appointment right away. Prompt and friendly. Very helpful and great service. Got the design and the proposal right away. Everything went great - we are excited - just not ready to tear up the kitchen just yet.

It went well. Came to house, measured, and discussed possible construction options/ideas.
