Budget Right Kitchens

The entire project turned out great. Mario was extremely professional, personable and clean. He was running a little behind schedule but called prior to his schedule arrival time to give me a heads up. We had bad t-storms that day, so it was completely understandable. I’ve used BR before for smaller projects and have never had a bad experience. Thus why I’ll continue to use them for 2-3 future jobs which they’re in the process of providing quotes. Outside of this specific project, I appreciate the fact that they have people on staff to contact over the weekends for questions, requests, etc and very responsive via phone/email.

It went very well. It was a very cold day, but Mario did not stop until the job was completed. I asked him a couple times, if he was going to have to come back to complete it. He just kept going. He was determined to complete the porch. My husband and I are happy with the job that he did. We already plan to ask for his services next spring. Thanks Mario

Although I did not start the project, I could tell immediately that Dirk (the owner of the company) was a true professional from the two times that we actually met at my home, to the very prompt responsiveness in return phone calls and emails. If you are looking for a quality remodeler, Dirk is definitely one that you should consider.

I believe they did a good job, but after two years I now have hairline cracks over almost the whole kitchen, so now I believe they did not put the subfloor down right, other wise it would not have cracks all over it. They want to charge me almost the full amount to replace the tiles, but the problem is the subfloor and I should have the floor looking nice for many years!!!

The meeting with the sale representative was relaxed and informative. The pricing was easy to understand. The prep work to ensure no damage to the common hall or to our hardwood floors was perfect. The demolition was very quick. All fixtures (vanity, mirror, toilet and tub were removed and properly discarded in accordance with condominium rules. BRKLtd did a good job keeping the work and staging area clean throughout remodeling. We are extremely pleased with the installation of both the wall and floor tile. Definitely "A" work. During the installation of the shower base (cast iron) there was a hiccup not totally unexpected, (8 out of 11 residents using different construction companies experienced the same issue), but BRKLtd quickly repaired the damage at no cost without delaying the project. The work on the shower area proved to be more of a challenge than expected, but the final product was great and completed within an acceptable time frame. The rest of the project went off without a hitch. The remodeled bathroom looks great. We love it!.

Luis did a great job removing our old installation and installing our brandy-new kitchen hood! Luis was super punctual, friendly and kept to task. BRH is my new go to handyman! Thank you.

We're going to be selling our house and our kitchen is a little bit of a disaster. I called Budget Right and had Dirk come out to do an estimate. First, he came out on a Saturday and was right on time, which is a rarity for any contractors these days and was really appreciated. We talked for a little bit and he took a look at the kitchen. After his assessment, he didn't think that remodeling the kitchen was a good investment and I'm sure he was right. You have to love a contractor who is honest, even at the cost of his own business. I would hire these guys in a heartbeat.

It went great! The installation man, Juan, was punctual and provided solutions and suggestions that enhanced the finished product. We had an excellent rapport and I would request Juan again in the future. He took the time to thoroughly explain what he would be doing and periodically asked me to check out work-in-progress. He was very precise in doing his job. The only hiccup was the total time was a couple hours longer than what had been pre-estimated so the final bill was a bit more than I anticipated due to paying by the hour. But the overall experience was outstanding and I would call Budget Right again if I have future needs. I see why Budget Right is so highly rated. My kitchen, which is a basic galley kitchen, looks amazing!

The project went incredibly well. The quality of the work was excellent and it was completed in accordance with the agreed upon timeline. Dan Ahmer oversaw the project, and quite simply is the best home improvement professional I have ever met. Dan has tremendous knowledge, is extremely responsive, and is an outstanding communicator. Dan makes a constant effort to inform the client of all possible options, both with respect to materials and how the work is accomplished. This flow of communication, as well as Dan's recommendations, were invaluable.

I thought Dirk was very honest and genuine about his recommendations and they were in my best interest - once learning I was going to put the house on the market next year he really made sure that I didn't sink money into a project in which I wasn't going to receive a ROI or that didn't make sense. He was very professional. Even if I didn't do the bathroom project I considered him for future projects.

As far as our first "major" renovation project in our home, we could not have been happier with the work Dirk's crew performed. A project of this nature is never pleasant, but we were so surprised at how minimally invasive everything was for the duration of the project. Our project leader, Dan, communicated all that we needed throughout the renovation, including when additional work was required, inspections were happening, etc. We will hire Budget Right for any of our renovation projects in the future, and would recommend them to anyone looking for an honest, responsible contractor.

They arrived on time, and were easy to talk to. We had three companies come out for a remodel quote. Budget right was the highest of the three quotes, but not by much. Although we did not choose them to perform our renovation I would not hesitate to contact again for other projects.

It worked out fine. There was no service provided. He just did an estimate and gave us some recommendations.

It is hard to get a contractor to work downtown because of all the rules and regulations in the building as well as the parking situation. Budget Right have experience with this type of project. They provided suggestions and guidance during the design and workup of the project and their experience showed in the finished product. The first part of the project, kitchen and main room, was finished quickly and efficiently. They stayed in contact regularly with updates, questions, decisions that needed to be made, etc. The building is very old and my apartment had not been touched since the beginning. They upgraded the plumbing, electric services, making both a much higher grade than original. The bathroom project was carried out at a later date and coincided with elevator problems in the building. Budget Right battled through elevator outages the whole time of the project. Then the electricity to my apartment was out for two months because of some fault with the common areas. Budget Right managed to rig up lighting and power from a source that had electricity and worked the whole project in less than ideal circumstances. At the end the bathroom was complete to a very high level with only a couple of small things such as missed patches of painting, grout, etc needing to be completed once we got electricity back on and were able to see properly. Their staff were always professional, polite and friendly and obviously worked very hard. I highly recommend Budget Right Kitchens for any remodeling project.

A quote was received, but it was not very specific. When I asked some questions, I was told they did not wish to take the job.

Scheduling went alright. I needed the job started as quick as possible, and Budget Right was not able to come out for a couple days. Thing that took a little while to receive was the quote to start the work. I was shopping around and from the number of quotes I received, Budget Right was right in the mix. I ended up going with someone else because of the lower price, but I was impressed with how Budget Right handled the entire process. Will definitely give them a call again for future work.

It went well. It was our first project in the house, so this is all new to us. We felt comfortable with everyone from Budget Right - that's important when folks are inside your house for weeks. We felt everyone was timely, respectful, and in good command of their skill sets. The project was completed on time and we are highly satisfied with the result. The project manager was always each to reach and frequently came by to provide oversight and discuss progress. Budget Right is highly recommended, and I think we'll be seeing them again.

They didn't followup with me. I give them D because they never followed up. They didn't quote me anything; they didn't charge me anything. Actually you know what, why do I give the rating if I have no work done? The guy was nice. He listened to us and wrote down what we wanted to do. Then he was like, I am going to bring more people and give you a quote but then he never followed up. They should followup and come with a plan. They wasted my time and their time. The guy showed up on time.

It went okay. They gave me the insight that I was looking for, and they did the plans on how it would look like, and that is what I was looking for. I was looking for a vision. I did not pay more than the big deal. For anybody who doesn't know anything about kitchen designs, $45 is worth it, compared to getting a professional who would charge $200 for a full scale design. They probably have to have their own computer system where they can draw the design right there for the customer instead of sending it later.

I emailed the contractor. He called me and verified my address. We agreed on a date and time. He came as requested and spent about 45 minutes reviewing my needs and making a few recommendations regarding flooring and other details. He worked efficiently and quickly and I was quite satisfied. I have yet to be able to follow up on the plans until months from now as I am working on other remodeling

We first met Dirk in 2011 as part of an Angie's List Deal. He drew up the most wonderful plans for an amazing kitchen. Then before we could execute, life happened (the births of two little boys) and our kitchen plans were put on hold. Fast forward to fall of 2015 when we were relocating, we called Dirk to consult on our kitchen. He offered wonderful insight and honest advice. I cannot say enough good things about Dirk - one of the most honest, kindest, and practical professionals I've ever met. He has a keen eye for design and practicality and he is reliable and trustworthy. I wish we could work with him in our new location. We are indebted to Dirk for his advice.

While he provided an excellent estimate and was great to work with, we decided not to go with his company.

Love these guys. I had a dark dingy bathroom, They gutted it down to the studs, and rebulit it using the materials I provided. We ran into one issue with old pipes that were leaking, they showed me the issue and came up with several alternatives to fix them. They started when they said they would and finished on time. The work they did was beautiful and I will not hesitate to use Dirk and Dan for any of my future projects.
