Budget Right Kitchens

He provided a "cookie cutter" design, $49 worth I guess, that had some errors in it. When I contacted him he dismissed my statement about the drawing being incorrect. He also recommended an electrician that I called for an estimate. The electrician confirmed the drawing was incorrect and he could not use it to draft his estimate. I then contacted Derek and told him what the electrician said, that was when he asked me to send a copy of what we were looking at, and admitted it was the wrong customer drawing. I realize designs are more costly and perhaps he didn't really want the job. He was very pleasant and cooperative when I asked him about proceeding in a different direction. His estimate was higher than others I had gotten and I felt like his early dismissal could potentially be a future problem for me.

Removed old bathroom fixtures and put in new units. Did a great job.

Contacted service company. My project did not fall under the Big Deal offer. Provider assisted in providing a refund. Went smoothly. Hope to use them for a different project.

Nothing at all. Never heard from them. Never hear from anyone when I use Angie's List. So I'm paying for services I never receive. Will no longer be using your site.

They came out to talk with me about my kitchen. He gave me great ideas to use on my kitchen and he listened to me well. They did a great job in the consultation. Scheduling went fine and we were able to work out a time that accommodated to me. The plans he gave me were really nice and helped me visualize the kitchen better.

Dirk was so very nice and so knowledgable and his response time was wonderful. Dirk provided us with impressive detailed drawings for our kitchen which needs gutted and replaced. He also provided us with detailed cost estimates for his work. Dirk also looked at our bathroom which also needs gutted and was able to give us some suggestions and cost estimates for labor. We are still in the decision making mode, including, getting a couple other bids.

We couldn't be more pleased with the professional and courteous service Dirk provided! He is clearly talented in the field of design and layout, and has a great personality to go along with it. He assessed our dining area and kitchen layouts, and taking into consideration our family's needs, came up with a design plan for us that we loved, took measurements, and provided us with a list of recommended vendors. He gave us an estimate of labor costs and a list of recommended vendors on the spot. He provided his insight and created plans for our kitchen with NO pressure! What an awesome experience. When we do eventually renovate, he will have our business.

It was good. It was very positive. He was pretty friendly and did what he said he was going to do and that was it.

It went well. Dirk came to my apartment and stated I did not need what I had purchased on Angie's List. He said to get a refund, and that he would instead provide me a free estimate for an island, as his company always provides free estimates.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. He did what he said, he was prompt, and came back with a very professional design. The design didn't work for us so we ended up going with someone else. There were no extra charges. He did a very professional and good job. He was very personable. It was just that the design did not hit with me and that was a personal preference. Good service and good responsiveness. Timing was great. They were very professional and we did definitely consider the design. We had also gotten one from another company that suited us better that's why we went with the other one. It was all in the particulars of the design that the other one suited my needs better but it was an innovative design and we did seriously consider it. If I had another kitchen I had to do, I won't use them. I would recommend them.

Everything was great until we got an estimate for the work. The estimate was over $11,000.00 over what we ended up paying for the work. So, while the cost of the plans was a good deal, the estimate for the work was very high.

He was punctual, courteous and helpful. Everything you want in a contractor. He listened to my suggestions, unlike most, and took them into account as he was planning the layout of the kitchen. All plans were emailed to me the next day. When I am ready to move forward with the kitchen renovations, I will most likely contact him.

I thought Dirk did an excellent job! He was considerate and on time! He gave me the information straight regarding my options! He told me he was unable to provide me any services because my kitchen was laid out the best way it can be.

He was a really nice guy and seems to be very good at what he does. He did design a kitchen that was on a very large scale. He was very punctual, professional and did a good job.

He was fine. I purchased a big deal from Angie’s List. He was prompt. He went on his way as he was on his vacations and he planned it from me before he left town. What I didn’t like was there was no follow up as there were some questions that I had about some of the cabinet’s replacement.

The designer was helpful, professional and courteous. He listened to my concerns and was able to work within the parameters of the existing room. If I do redo my kitchen I will most likely have them do it. the deal was for a design. That's what I did and I was satisfied with it.

Dirk was wonderful. He was very pleasant and professional. He gave lots of time, answered questions well, was responsive, generously shared ideas of where to go for all kitchen related materials and produced helpful documents. He in no way pushed any additional services that he could provide. (And the $45 cost can't be beat). I can't imagine my first AL contractor connection going better.

Dirk was very professional through the entire process. We chatted about what we wanted from the kitchen and Dirk took measurements. He gave us an estimate for what the labor would cost immediately and followed up with the design in an email the very next day. All in all it was exactly what I wanted.

I had the company out for service with the big deal. The visit went well, they were professional and polite. The only issue was that I had to call and follow up with the company for the plans.

Dirk provided design plans and approximate cost to install a new kitchen. Dirk also went beyond just plans for replacing the new kitchen and also provided drawings for a new mud room. We were extremely happy with the design and plan on using it... just as soon as we get the money to rebuild the kitchen.

Dirk was very punctual and was in and out. He came in, took what he needed info wise, asked some questions for follow-up, and was on his way. His remark of "I'll have the specks back to you within (I think I remember him saying) 5 days or so" turned out to only be 24 hours. He also indulged all of my questions as I am a new homeowner. A pleasure to work with.

They were great. They came a month later, but it was not his fault and was because I'm such a busy bee. He came when I wanted him to which was good. He did a good job and we got along well. His price was well taken and he did what I wanted him to do. When he came to my house he was professional and on time. His service was excellent.

I purchased the big deal coupon for this service and it was great. They were good. The service was great. I just wanted them to come out and have a look at my kitchen, and do the things for me. So somewhere down the line, I can have some work done. I would most likely use them again in the future.
