It went well. Subcontractors were very efficient. Everything was done within 3 days. Customer service with Kevin was a little meh but we got past it. He even gave me a discount. Overall I very satisfied with the work. 👍😊

I got a number of quotes for redoing our patio, driveway, walk and steps and I feel very fortunate that I ended housing Bald Eagle. From the first time Kevin, the owner came to meet with me to discuss my goals and then provide his quote, I sensed that I chose the right vendor. Communication through the entire project was clear and I think that is rare these days. They even worked great with my vendor that installed a pergola on our patio. The crews that did the demolition of the old concrete and installed the were diligent in their work and always ready to answer questions. As for the quality of the work done, we think it looks great. I needed work done immediately, and I needed it badly. I needed someone to provide handrails inside and outside my house as well as some decking to prevents falls into the basement well. And it was WINTER! I called Bald Eagle, and they were not only able to do it for me within the time period I needed, they didn't charge me an arm and leg. They were at my house all day -- inside and out -- and I swear it was the coldest day of our Chicago winter. They found issues with what I wanted, but they were there and they figured out solutions. THESE FOLKS DO NOT DO SHODDY WORK!!! THEY ARE EXCEPTIONAL!!! They have done my front porch, and my sidewalk and patio of my back yard. I love these guys! They did their usual outstanding job!

Bald Eagle Construction did an amazing job. They improved the yard beyond my expectations. The cement work was flawless and meet Oak Park's tough code. The backyard has never look better, and negotiating the new steps to the basement door has never been easier. The walks are wide and smooth now so I can easily move the mower, snow blower and if I ever need to a wheelchair without effort! That was not the situation before they did the work. I was very pleased as was my neighbors who also used them. A third neighbor is also going to use Bald Eagle based on the results of their work on our property and our next door neighbors.

Bald Eagle has poured concrete me on two occasions now. They have been reasonable in the pricing, they come one-time as promised, and they do a beautiful job. They leave the site clean, and are prompt with removing forms. From getting the estimate to job completion, Bald Eagle is professional, and I am completely happy with their work.

He explained everything in great details about the process, even explained how the permit worked. I was very pleased with my job. His team was on time, very professional, and did a fabulous job. My project was completed with success. They also gave me a senior discount on top of the fair price. His crew did excellent! everything was cleanup afterwards and my driveway looks amazing. I even had the village inspector comment about how great they did with the set-up for inspection. His words exactly," I do a lot of these inspections but it has been a while since I've seen one done this well." Bald Eagle is the company if your looking to get a professional job done at a reasonable price.

Called for a quote on my mom's driveway that was in bad shape. I left a message, Kevin called back right away and we scheduled a time for him to come out the following day. He was honest about taking on the project, indicating that it was beyond what he would want to take on. I was a bit disappointment because I really want to get this project done, however I appreciated the upfront honesty. I would rather someone tell me they can't or won't do it, rather than having someone quote me an outrageous price, or take the job only to have a bad outcome. I didn't hire them, but certainly will recommend them, and call them back for quotes on other projects.

It was okay. but in less than 3 weeks there was a crack on the driveaway and the apron around the swimming pool, he finally came out this morning and he said he doesn't warranty crack and refused to fix it

New Concrete: one-car concrete driveway including 3 squares of city sidewalk and concrete apron between street and sidewalk. $7,420 before 10% discount. Signed proposal March 2022 $6,420 for one-car concrete driveway including 3 squares of city sidewalk and concrete apron between street and sidewalk. Kevin Wood, the owner said he does not recommend using sealant because nowadays it’s only a water-based product and adds to the cost. He’s the expert, so I followed his recommendation and did not request a sealant. I signed and put down 50% deposit. Was told work would be done within a couple of months, but work was not done until July 2022. The proposal incorrectly assumed that the existing original (but now badly cracked) 64-year-old driveway had been poured with metal rebar. When the old driveway was removed there was no rebar and my price increased by $1,000. Driveway work was permitted and passed city inspection. The final invoice was lower than expected, being an old CPA, I corrected the calculation mistake and paid the correct amount due in full. During March 2023 (driveway then 9 months old) the new driveway developed small cracks and flaking – see attached photos. I contacted Kevin Wood, and it took some time and repeated requests from me before he came out to the house to look at the driveway. He told me that because the signed proposal has a clause that he was not responsible for defects he would do nothing for me. I asked about now putting down sealant, but he said it would be an additional $600-$700 and there was no guarantee it would help the situation at this point. I contacted the city and was told that because the driveway had met minimum code requirements and had passed inspection, that the matter was now between me and the contractor but that there was obviously a defect in either the materials and/or workmanship. In this situation the city cannot make the contractor repour the driveway. Hopefully my new expensive driveway will not continue to deteriorate but only time will tell. This has been a long, disappointing experience.

This is the second time we used Bald Eagle Construction. Kevin Wood is the owner and he is prompt with his arrival and accurate with his estimates. We used Bald Eagle to replace the roof on our previous house and knew we would let him give us an estimate again on this house. We trusted that he and his crews would do a good job again. They did not disappoint. They were on time, did a very good job and cleaned up everything. We were kept well informed by Kevin on what we needed to have done before the work began and he called to make sure we were satisfied and even came by to pick up the final check after the work was completed. We would highly recommend.

We contacted four companies to provide an estimate for work to repair and replace a buckling cement garage floor and a section of cement walkway to the garage. Bald Eagle Construction offered us the best deal for the work. Rebar was used in the replacement of the garage floor. The work provided was excellent; the floor even sloped to a center drain that worked again. The company obtained a construction permit from the village and handled the village inspection process. I was informed during every stage of the work and inspection. There were no delays and the project ran smoothly. We made our final payment November 6, 2020. From the vantage of almost two years, we can attest that the cement work has held up well, and we have completely refurbished the garage interior.
