+ -1 moreGreat ideas that were within a limited budget. However, there was a lack of attention to detail and focus that caused issues during construction and resulted unexpected expense and inconvenience.

+ -1 moreDARREL DID A VERY GOOD JOB DRAWING UP THE PLANS FOR OUR KITCHEN REMODEL. HE IS VERY PARTICULAR AND MADE SURE THINGS WERE PUT TOGETHER IN A WAY THAT THE VILLAGE ZONING BOARD WOULD APPROVE QUICKLY-ENOUGH DETAIL WITHOUT TOO MUCH. HE ALSO MADE SOME SUGGESTIONS FOR DESIGN THAT WE WOULD NOT HAVE THOUGHT OF AND WE GREATLY APPRECIATED. I WAS QUITE UPSET, HOWEVER, THAT HE WAS CONSISTENTLY LATE TO SCHEDULED APPOINTMENTS, OFFERING FLIMSY EXCUSES. EXAMPLE-WE HAD A TUESDAY 9AM APPT AND HE THOUGHT IT WAS THURSDAY 9AM AND ONLY AFTER I CALLED DID HE COME BY-TWO HOURS LATE. ALSO, DARREL HAD US SIGN AN AIA CONTRACT THAT ULTIMATELY WAS NOT NECESSARY AS OUR AGREEMENT WAS BASED ON A DRAWN UP MEMO DESCRIBING THE WORK WE WANTED DONE. HE DID, IN THE END, HELP US REACH OUR GOAL OF GETTING OUR KITCHEN PROJECT STARTED.
Description of Work: DREW UP BLUEPRINTS TO BUMP OUT WALLS IN KITCHEN AND COMBINE EXISTING KITCHEN AND SUN PORCH IN TO ONE LARGE EAT-IN KITCHEN.

Description of Work: THE ARCHITECT DID ARCHITECTURAL DRAWINGS FOR MY DECK. HE WAS INSTRUMENTAL IN OBTAINING THE BUILDING PERMITS FOR ME.
