Avenue Computer

We had a water line break in our home due to the extreme temperatures. My insurance company required an inspection of the machine and a write-up. I was going to take it in to Best Buy but it would take forever to get the results and get the machine back. I called around and Avenue Computer said they could check it out right away. I went there immediately after work. They didn't waste any time in checking the machine out. They were very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. They are very honest. I would definitely use them again.

Replacing the screen went well, its just the time it took to get there. When I went there, he ordered the part and it was supposed to be sent via Fed Ex within a couple of days. Days went by and I called to inquire about the progress. He said that he was still waiting on the part. He never actually kept me informed as to the status of the part, until I called him. After about a week, the part finally came and was replaced on the laptop. I just feel that his contact with the customer was not good. He also stated that his vendor was one that he always uses and didn't know why the part took so long. I was also going to be charged for the FedEx delivery but asked him if it can be deducted because the screen didn't come on time as it should. He hesitated at first, but then did deduct the cost of the FedEx delivery.

They went over possible options for me to recover my data and gave me the answer that worked best for me (not the most expensive). They worked on my laptop right away and had it up and running the same day. They were very friendly and professional.

No viruses were found. The PC seemed to run more efficiently. I had to reinstall a printer drivers.

I dropped my old laptop and brought it in to see if it was damaged; I was advised that it was just cosmetic. I bought a second laptop on Ebay and had it checked over, cleaned out physically, the previous owner's data removed, and generally tuned up and ready for me to use. Later I brought it in to have a new solid state drive installed. The owners are always friendly and available. They are very experienced, know all different makes and models of computers, and can recommend what's best for your needs. They're good at troubleshooting problems, use quality components, turnaround quickly and charge a very reasonable price. I have referred several friends here.
