He did an awesome job! More importantly he was encouraging towards my continued DY- work and polite about pointing out the mistakes while highlighting the things I did right. We will be hiring them again for sure. Most handymen of my experience are condescending whenever called in to correct a mistake made by an amateur. Andy was the opposite and thereby has won a devoted customer.

They came out and looked at the job. He sent me an email with the estimate. It was not detailed and it was very expensive. He didn't include how long it would take.

Ben did a small job for me, fixing the front screen door and basement closet door. He was punctual and very professional. It was a pleasant experience. Later, I asked them to install a new basement door. Andy and his crew showed up on time. Quality of their work exceeded my expectation. The last work was to fix cracks around the foundation of the house. This time, I was not happy with the quality of their work. After I sent him an email, he came back and fixed the problem to my satisfaction. I feel I finally found the handyman I can trust. I will certainly hire him again.

Andy and his crew swept into our home like a band of superheroes, immediately getting to work on all three projects and completing them with speed and high quality. They were friendly and inspired confidence. I'm not an especially handy person, but I was nevertheless shocked with how fast they mounted the TV, considering the weekend before I'd spent several hours drilling over a dozen holes in the wall trying to find studs before mounting the TV in what I later learned were not studs but just hard plaster. Luckily my pitiful attempt only resulted in the TV falling part way out of the wall. Andy's crew put it in in about ten minutes (including plastering over all the holes I made), and it remains stable.

Ben and Andy were very professional. It was a messy job, but they cleaned it up well. Andy was great about fixing the billing to accommodate some extra time they incurred as the result of some mistakes they made in the process. Overall I am very satisfied with the work they did and the way they handled everything.

The work that Kinetic Energy performed was great. I contacted the company based on Andy's recommendation. They were great to work with in helping us decide which course of action to take for the work that needed to be done. They were responsive, professional, and the price was reasonable. I would definitely use this company again.

I saved money for eight years for bathroom and kitchen renovation. Never having experienced a major redo in my one-bedroom, one-bath condo apartment, I had many concerns. Having heard nightmare stories of friends? experiences, I was on red alert for craziness. I contacted Andy Sjostrom Handyman service based on the brilliant reviews on Angies List. Tony R. called me back the same day and we met the next. We spent time discussing the project, my concerns, timing, costs, responsibilities, and expectations. In about a week, I received a preliminary estimate and gave him the go-ahead. As project manager, Tony R. was tirelessly invested in making my vision come true. He consistently displayed concern, care, and calm in the face of some pretty big challenges. He took it upon himself to visit some other reno projects in my building, to get information about plumbing issues (installing a linear drain), and other structural issues. I didn?t ask him to do this, he spent his own time to ensure a smooth installation. I mention this as an example of initiative taken and commitment to an excellent outcome. When I found a bathroom sink/vanity that I loved but could not afford, Tony, again on his own initiative, found a local carpenter who could build it from scratch, and save me a lot of money. The final product was beyond expectations. The level of service provided by every team member was off the scale. Tony B., is a master at tile installation. He spent many long hours in a small, hot, and not very well lit space. This man worked hard. The results (glorious new walk-in shower, glass sliding doors. storage space, tile floor, new sink/cabinet) were even better than my highest expectations, due to his knowledge, diligence, easy and welcome collaboration. Larry was also outstanding as carpentry and cabinet specialist. My kitchen was transformed into a space that welcomes me with light and color every day. As a former personal chef, my kitchen is probably the most important room in my home. The team also consisted of electricians, painters, and plumbers all of whom were consistent in providing excellent service, timely, and always respectful of the space, putting down protection and cleaning up at day?s end. These are talented, knowledgeable, dedicated professionals and, importantly, genuinely nice people. Hiring the best contractor and team was essential to my happiness and satisfaction. These are the gentlemen you need to hire. Andy Sjostrom Handyman (and they are SO much more than handymen) far and away exceeded my expectations.

I actually ended up fixing the problem myself. I informed Andy and he was happy for me! His courtesy, demeanor, and professionalism will earn him the right to bid on my projects in the future for sure.

The team exceeded every expectation, from thoroughness and promptness of the quote through completion. Tony came with the tile installer to scope the job the day before we got started, and when we got home from work the next day, the demo work was complete and ready for the new tile to go in the next day. We have had several major construction projects in our home, but none have been so neatly prepped and cleaned up as this one. Andy and Tony put protective covering over nearly every surface in the kitchen so that there was no mess when we got home. And, when they took the covering up the next day and noticed that the tape had pulled the moisture out of our soapstone countertops, Andy came by and re-oiled all of our countertops. Proactively. Without us having to ask and in fact, before we even noticed there was an issue! Amazing service. John did the tile installation and he was meticulous and friendly. He and Tony communicated with us really well through email and phone as the job was progressing - we knew at every step of the way what had been accomplished and what had yet to be done. Andy stopped by to check on the work on the last day (total job took 3 days), and I was impressed with his philosophy and approach as well. I would absolutely use these guys again, and would recommend them to others (already have, actually).

Went very well. There was some delay in scheduling, but that was due to the need for two people on the job. They worked with us around scheduling and eventually got us in and fixed it up really well.

Andy was prompt, courteous, and professional. He cleaned up after all work, which believe me, many people don't do. He pointed out details that might affect future performance and discussed how to address them if necessary.

Tony was very helpful and responsive. I originally spoke to him on Monday, July 21st. I told him what my issue was and he asked me if I knew the brand and model of the shower faucet. I did not know this information and the brand name was not stamped anywhere on the faucet itself. He told me to do a little research to find the brand and model before having him come out (which will save me money). I thought this was great advice and loved the fact that he was trying to save me money! I did a little sleuthing on homedept.com and found the exact shower faucet that I have. I called the manufacturer to see about replacement parts and they sent them to me covered under the lifetime warranty. I received the replacement parts on Friday, July 25th and called Tony on Monday, July 28th to see about scheduling him to come out. He told me that they are currently scheduling for mid-September, but that he had some time that evening to maybe stop by. He told me to text him when I got home from work. I texted him around 6 p.m. and he said he could come by around 7 p.m. that evening to take a look. He came by and had the shower faucet handle fixed within the hour! I could not be more pleased with Tony! He was great to do business with and very professional. I really appreciated him coming out in the evening too! That was very nice! Thank you!

Things started off a little rocky with appointments and schedules, but once the appointment was coordinated, I was very pleased with the result. The handyman was very skilled at making the appropriate adjustments to a doorjamb resulting in a more secure door lock. He also checked a couple of other items I had mentioned and provided me with good estimates for those items. I am pleased with the service from Andy Sjostrom’s Handyman Services and I look forward to using them again.

Andy was a pleasure to work with and a delight with whom to do business. I liked Andy from the first time I met him. He was polite, punctual and friendly. During the presentation of the project, he made numerous great suggestions for how to contain cost but also maximize the end result. We interviewed 6 different companies and none of them were as helpful or invested in the project as Andy. Andy is professional, knowledgeable, skilled and has a keen eye toward the details. Andy is also the first to recognize his limitations and is very upfront with the customer on stating what is and is not in his wheelhouse. We have plaster/lathe walls in our closet and while Andy didn't feel comfortable doing the repairs, he was helpful in helping us find someone who could do the work. I will definitely use Andy for more projects in the future!

It was easy to schedule an estimate with Andy - you can do it right on his website and he will come to your house before work. His services are popular, so he can book up (so book early). Andy switched our the screens on our old windows for the storm windows on the second floor of our house, and also fixed a door that was hung a little too low to the ground. He came and performed the work right as scheduled, and left no mess behind. He is a little more pricey than other handymen, but you will get a job done right.

It went great! Andy gave me an excellent recommendation on what to do with my wall-mounted TV so that we did not have to install a shelf - saved money and works great. He is very good and got right to work. I highly recommend him for any handy work of any nature.

Although we didn't decide to use his service, he was punctual and easy to deal with. You must go through a third-party service to schedule an estimate appointment with him. When you get on the phone with them tell them that you want to schedule an appointment. If you don't, Andy or his partner will ask you to call the service back to schedule.

Provider did all work per agreement and estimate. He was prompt and efficient. The quality of his work was excellent. He communicated well with me (the customer) and was very sensitive to my needs regarding this work.

I was very impressed w/ Andy from start to finish. It can be very tough to find contractor willing & able to perform smaller jobs such as the one he did for us. Andy seems to fit this niche perfectly. Very prompt in response upon initial call. He is probably priced a little high compared to others but I think this is often worth paying to know job will be done well. He did a nice job w/ work performed....he was actually the 2nd contractor we've had try to fix weather protection on side door. First one was not successful. Andy's solution appears to be working well this winter.

Andy arrived exactly on time to give me my free estimate. He respects your time and if he's not on time, he'll call. Then he performed the work even better than I expected and came in UNDER estimate! He is also very careful about cleaning up when he's done.

Punctual and professional. Did good work. In talking to him about other small jobs that might need to be done, he was honest in recommending that some might not be worth it to repair and might just stay the way it was, saving me money in the process.

I was thrilled with the work that Andy did for us. He was very professional, had our best interests in mind, and finished the job without leaving a mess or sign of the work being done. I was very impressed with his thoughtful approach to our projects. He reworked his approach to our sliding door project so that the work he had to do did not impact a wall we had recently painted. He also replaced a part on one of our windows with a replacement part that was of the same era so it matched the look of the one he was replacing. This type of attention to detail and his professional demeanor is why I will definitely use his services again and would highly recommend him to you.

Andy is absolutely amazing, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. Not only did he do a great job, but he is extremely friendly and professional. I had scheduled him to repair a railing that was coming loose at one point and do some childproofing on our cabinets that I had tried to install, but couldn't get to latch correctly. We had a plan that sounded good for repairing the railing, but in between the estimate and performing the work the railing came completely off the wall, damaging part of the wall. I emailed him with a picture of the damage and he sent back a couple of thoughts about what we should do instead, which sounded good. The work he did exceeded my expectations--it required adding some trim to much of the stairwell to cover the damage (which couldn't be easily repaired) and support the railing. Despite the fact that the wall has some odd contours to it, he installed it perfectly--not only seeming technically very strong, but appearing like a totally natural part of the wall (maybe even looking a little nicer than before). I don't think a visitor to our house would have any idea that it's not part of the original design. He installed the childproofing quickly and very well also, and made sure I understood how it worked (it has magnetic locks, which can also be switched to disable the childproofing). Let me add that it's quickly apparent how great Andy is even when he provides an estimate. We've had issues with water coming under our basement back door, so I showed him the problem and a couple of ideas I had for solving it. He quickly agreed with a couple, and talked me through how he'd improve on those ideas, but also told me when something I suggested wouldn't work very well or would be overkill. He's particularly good at explaining what he's planning to do in a way I can visualize well, and I also really appreciate when he recommends against work he doesn't think will be helpful.

Andy is the person you hope you get when you hire a handyman. He confirmed the appt, arrived on time, gave me a range of cost/time depending on the problem and set to work. When he was finished, he brought in a shop vac and vacuumed the work area. I would use him again and recommend him to others.

Mr. Sjostrom was punctual, professional and personable. He was clear about what he would be doing, asked for my input, kept me apprised of how it was going. He was also proactive, finding an opening that needed caulk and taking care of that, and pointing out a rotted 2nd-floor window that will need some attention in the near future. Excellent service and communication.
