Transparent Windows and Glass Company

We had a terrible experience that dragged out for approximately 9 months. We have a bungalow with original wood windows, many of which needed repair for weighting, weather stripping, etc. The work that they did complete was good quality. I love being able to use my windows again. However, the reattachment of the interior trim was a little sloppy and the replacement putty smears all over the glass was never cleaned up. The trouble started after we paid the invoice with the promise that they would return to complete the work. Once they had my money, they became suddenly unavailable. I am still not convinced that we were billed correctly and were overcharged for work that was never performed. The worst part was that they took 2 storm windows for "repairs" that they never returned. I got an email that they were ready, but then they never brought them back. After 6 months Vince admitted that he "lost" them. I finally realized that he most likely sold them to someone else. These are not easy to replace! He "replaced" one storm with one that does not match my house style/color at all. He "replaced" the other with a piece of glass that was cracked in the corner. I really have no idea how this all went so bad, but we finally decided to cut our losses and move on because it was clear that we would never be able to resolve our grievances. This was certainly a stern lesson for us to never pay until the work is 100% completed.
