AR-BE Garage Doors

Bruce was extremely knowledgable. He first tried fixing the opener so I could save on cash. As for the door- I wanted a RED door. Other companies had limited manufacturers they deal with...so no red. Bruce showed me a brochure with exactly the color I was looking for. Then surprise of all surprises, he scheduled an installer on the same day! Work was done very well. Overall, this experience exceeded my expectations.

My garage door opener stopped working the night before the big snow storm. I phoned AR-BE and left a message. Spoke to them at 7;10 am the next morning and explained that I had to go to work so they were able to adjust their schedule and had someone there at 8:00. After looking it over he determined that it would have to be replaced (it was at least 11 yrs old). They sent a crew out that afternoon. I couldn't be more pleased. I highly recommend AR-BE. They did a great job, very professional and very nice people to deal with.

They were pretty professional. They provided excellent customer service. The installer was really good. He was very attentive and explained to me what he was doing when I had questions. I have called back on several occasions for some information and they were very responsive. Their cost was a little bit lower than the other individual that I was going to go with. They came in at a lower cost based upon the budget that I had at that time. They were pretty good. If I need another garage door, I would still get some pricing. Based upon the cost of the job, if AR-BE is competitive for what I need I would definitely go with them in the future.

I recommended them to other people. I thought they were excellent. They showed up on time. They did exactly what they said they were going to do and they did extra. They were in and out in one day. They cleaned up after themselves. They were perfect. Everything worked terrific and has continued to work terrific. They did a little extra detailed work on the outside of the trim on the garage. They did decorative cut-outs.

I have a job and it helps when people show up early and on time and get the job done fast. I was very happy with them.

They worked at the stuff promptly and I guess the work was not plentiful. The work went on perfectly and I had no issues.

We tried to fix our old door and the money we spent was wasted. We really needed a new door. We weren't happy with the company who tried to fix our old door so I used Angieslist to get a couple estimates. AR-BE was the most reasonable and professional. They did a great job and we have been happy with it now for eight months. The new door is a huge improvement over the old door. I really recommend them for the job.

I did homeowners claims for 14 years for an insurance company and ran across AR-BE on a claim. They were fast, had good prices, and were highly reliable. I used them from the point I met them until I left the industy- so a total of about 11 years. 7 years after leaving the industry I had a problem with my overhead garage door and they were the only call I made. Murphy's law- My garage door broke a few days before Christmas and they came Christmas Eve to do the repair.

His $700 estimate was heavily padded with "you need this and you need that". We sent him packing and called someone else the next day. They fixed BOTH garage doors for under $500. There was no mention from the other company of the "required" repairs from the AR-BE estimate.

I love when contractors say "I am sorry that you feel that way." I am not worried about how I feel, I am upset that this company cost me time and money without delivering a product. My preferred contractor was out of town and he recommended that I work with Arbe. They were great at setting up an appointment and reassuring me that they could fix the problem because they keep parts on the truck. I took Friday morning off from work which costs me time, money and also missing a meeting but I had to get it fixed since it is a rental property. Arbe was great a keeping their appointment however, when the technician came out he quickly took off the cover and said that the opener was too old and had to be replaced. Since I bought the opener in 2003, I asked him to at least look at what was wrong first. He explained that he wouldn't have the parts for it because it was too old and it would be $350 to replace it. Reluctantly, I agreed to the price and then the contractor says he will have to come back another day because he didn't have time to do the work. Even after both of us spoke with Dave from the office, his best solution was to come back out Saturday morning. They wouldn't like if I wasted their time and Dave should have reconigized how they wasted mine.

Bruce came out and gave me a price on a new opener and garage door. There was not previously an opener so there was a little extra work to do. He gave me a great price (much less money than a competitor and a better product). I scheduled the job for a couple weeks away - on a Saturday. The two installers actually came 15 minutes early, which was a pleasant surprise. They were very fast and neat. They cleaned up all the mess and took it with them. They had the whole job done in 2 hours. I would highly recommend this firm.

Easy. Responsive, quick, fair. I was impressed with the quickness of response as well as with the quickness of the work itself. Problem one day; problem solved the next day. I had no time to compare prices with other companies, so I have no way of knowing if I paid too much. But I was very happy with the service provided.

I called at 8:00 pm on 1/5/2010. the office ws closed. I left a message. At 7:15 the next morning ai received a call and explained my problem. I was told a repairman would be at my home between 9:00 and 10:00. AT 9:00 I was called and told the repairman would be at my home at 9:30. At 9:30 I ws called and told a repairman was outside. He put in new roller and did not charge me. I Ws on my way to work by 10:00. They were amazing!!

My garage door had been making loud squeaking noises that, along with a slightly off kilter closing, seemed to suggest service was needed. A representative came out, did a very brief inspection, and used some sort of squirt bottle to spray WD40 on the tracks. That seemed to diminish the sound quite a bit. He also replaced a wheel on one side of the track.

They did a very good job and their prices were great. I am very happy with the experience from start to finish.

Service tech arrived on time and related that the spring on the door would need the whole assembly replaced and he did not carry that with him. The service was scheduled for the next day and the service tech arrived on time and replaced the spring and assembly. The new parts required a lot of adjusting to make the garage door work correctly and the two techs stayed until it worked . The door was older and was not in the best condition , so I was pleasantly surprised when I received a call the next day from AR-BE offering to replace the entire door for a great price. The new door was installed and the old one taken away, everything looks great and works perfect.

I called to have an estimate from them after seeing all of the great reviews. I called in the morning and they said they could come out the same day. They showed up on time, but that was the only thing that they did right. The rep that showed up came out measured my door, and said here's what you need. He left the car on during the whole time he was measuring and talking to me. He didn't aske me about my needs, he just gave me something and said this is our standard door, that's not what I was looking for. Then when he went to give me materials, they were the wrong ones, with no explanation and wrinkled and folded on the sides, not very professional. When I asked for a quote, he tried to get me to sign a contract and I refused. Overall it was about 10 minutes long, and the rep was rushing and didn't care what I needed. I definately won't do business with these guys based on today's performance.

Service person showed up and sat in his truck on his cell phone for 15-20 minutes (waved at me to acknowledge he was here). Finally walked into garage to look at broken spring to be repaired on garage door (still on cell on personal call). Paused his phone conversation to confirm work to be done. After struggling for less than 10 minutes with tension springs, he was back on the phone in his truck. Returned to say he didn't have the right tools for this job and it was more difficult than expected so he was leaving. Suggested I should call another company since the repair was more involved than he expected;presumably one that actually does garage door repairs. No further explanation was offered when I asked if he would return another time to do the repair after locating the "right tools". The whole episode,while costing me nothing (if you don't consider the day off work and inconvenience) was totally unprofessional and surprising given this firm's previous rating.

They did a great job and I was very happy with their quality of service. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

They did a wonderful job. Chuck was exceptional. I found out on a Friday about the garage door. They came out Saturday morning and gave me a reasonable quote. They then came out first thing Monday morning and replaced the garage door. Because the garage is so old a root system from an old tree had gone under the garage concrete floor. This caused some gaps with the garage door. They came back the very next day and installed a different rubber strip on the bottom of the garage door to correct the problem. I did not have any problems with them and would highly recommend them. They are fantastic and really do a good job.When Chuck came out he gave me an honest assessment. He gave me the option to replace just the garage door or both the door and the automatic opener.

They did a great job. They were very polite, did the work in 2 hours, and they showed me how everything works. They took away the remains of the old door. The price was right on with the estimate.

They were very quick in putting the door opener in. The door opener is working fine. I had to kind of bargain with them to get two remotes rather than just one. I would hire them again.

I purchased a garage door belt driven opener for $1,800. Two years after install the garage opener failed and a part broke off the opener. I called for service and they told me that it was out of warranty. I agreed to the repair charges and scheduled a time for service. Repair person arrived 45 minutes late and showed up without parts for my opener (even though they were aware of the opener I purchased). We agreed that he would come back the following day around 10am. At 11am the repair person had not showed up so I called the office and was told (by one of the owners I believe but I'm not 100% certain) there was two stops scheduled ahead of me and the soonest he would be out would be 2pm. I explanied that I already had taken a half day off of work, and waiting until 2pm would cost me another day of work which seems unreasonable. He stated that he does not know why repair person would tell me 10am (even though this is what repair person discussed over the phone with the office the prior day) and no apology was given nor any other suggested remedies. When I suggested maybe i should look for another company to repair the opener they installed, I was told that was my choice. Overall followup service and care to a problem that seems should not occur with a higher end opener after two years was very dissapointing.

They did a good job on the installation, the price is reflected with the Angie's list discount. I was perfectly satisfied with my experience.

A nuisance problem that was handled very easily.
