AR-BE Garage Doors

I've used AR-BE previously to repair broken springs. Due to the door's age and a few driving mis-haps, I needed the whole door replaced this time. AR-BE's office staff/sales personnel are very knowledgeable, and there were no high pressure sales tactics. They were out for installation the next day. The work was performed in a very professional manner. Installation took a little over 2 hours and they cleaned up after themselves. The door looks and works great.

Our 7 year old garage door failed to open. I called Ar-Be (chosen because of Angie's List & my BIL used them before) and they came promptly the next day. Chuck was super friendly & knowledgeable. He diagnosed the door accurately, and was out the following day with the parts and repaired in a jiffy. The office communicated exactly when Chuck could be expected both days. One of our two garage door openers stopped working and due to the age of the openers, we decided to replace them both. I called AR-BE and they answered their business line at 7:30 am which was a very pleasant surprise. The woman answering the phone was very helpful and responsive. I checked with several other companies, and determined that the price that AR-BE quoted was fair. They came on time the next day (as scheduled) and the workers were very pleasant and efficient. They replaced 2 garage door openers in a relatively short period of time and cleaned up the debris satisfactorily. One of the installers showed me how to operate the new openers and helped me program the new keyless entry pad.

The AR-BE team of 3 workers arrived 15 minutes early and proceeded to remove the old door and tracks. While that was going on one of the team was sorting the hardware for the new door. The new door was unloaded and the old door and tracks were loaded on the truck. Then the new tracks were installed and the door panels and hardware were assembled as the panels were fitted to the tracks. As the door was being adjusted the garage was swept clean and all metal was picked up by their magnet. The door was connected to the original opener and everything worked fine. The entire operation took 1 hour 10 minutes. They left the place clean and were very courteous. I definitely recommend them. They are professional and exhibit excellent teamwork. John Weber

AR-BE had installed garage doors for two of my neighbors and came highly recommended. When I called they came out promptly to give me an estimate and then scheduled the work itself soon after. The person who gave me the estimate was professional and helpful and gave me a referral and information on an unrelated project I asked about. The work itself was done quickly and I've been happy with both the appearance and performance of my new garage door. I would recommend them to others in need of a new garage door.

We have used them for years. They initially put in the garage doors when we moved into the house. They were punctual; they came out here as soon as they could to replace the opener. They worked fast; they were in and out in no time. Everything was great. They are a full service. You can get a whole new door or they fix just the springs. They are a full service company that can do everything with a garage door. I think the price was fair. They did a nice job and it did not take them long at all. They were here less than an hour. This is the second or third time that they have been out. The second time they came out they replaced the springs that had broke. I think this is the third time that I have used them.

One of the large springs on our garage door fell off on 12/21, trapping my car inside. Called AR BE, which had done great work for us in the past, on the morning of 12/22. First available appointment was on 12/24, so we set that up for between 10 and noon. I came back from exercise class at 9 on 12/24 to find a voice mail from their technician, left at 7:30. Said he had come by but no one was home (my husband had, in fact, been in the house at that time). Called him back and explained that our appointment time was between 10 and noon. He said that his sheet said between 8:30 and 10:30, and that, in any case, he had moved on and would not be coming back. He also indicated that he didn't have the spring we needed on his truck, though I had explained our issue to the person on the phone when I called. Suggested I make another appointment. I then tried phoning AR BE's offices, which were closed for Christmas Eve. Went back on Angies' List and found another provider, who came out right away and did a great job. So, I won't be using AR BE again. Finally, I would have expected a follow up call from AR BE based on their technician's report back but never received one. We had really liked AR BE before, and were so disappointed!!!!

Extremely helpful on what needed to be accomplished to repair our garage door opener. Very prompt and courteous in all aspects of the job. A request for assistance in programing my "in car" opener was accomplished during a prompt drop-by visit with no additional charge. Would definitely use their services again in the future when needed or recommend them to anyone looking for this type of service.

Originally I had the service scheduled for the day before but I missed their call, so they arranged another appoitment the next day.. They give you a call in advance of their arrival, so I made sure I was available. When the serviceman arrived, he examined the door and immediately knew what I needed, but unfortunately he did not have the part because my door was an older, lightweight fiberglass door. He did not pressure me into anything but did give me an estimate on a new door. He suggested I make some phone calls stating the part, if I could find a company which could service it would be cheaper than replacing the entire door. I appreciated his advice and honesty. I will make some calls, using Angies list of course, but I will also keep his estimate and quite possibly give them a call in the near future. I would like to get the doors operating so the garage can be cleaned out, but a new door is not out of the question. Based on this experience I would definietly use them again. P.S. He also waived the $69.00 service charge and I though that was a great thing as well. UPDATE: I took their advice and did find someone to fix my garage doors and yes it was much cheaper than replacing the doors. Thanks again!

Excellent, expedient service, both estimate and installation. Installers were on-time, professional and removed all debris from work site. Quality product as quoted at a fair price. I would highly recommend Ar-Be for garage door needs.

Quality LiftMaster 1/2 hp opener installed. Installers arrived on time and hustled to get total installation completed in appx. 1/2 hour. No problems have been encountered. Slight communication problem with installers whom spoke minimal English. Would recommend.

The spring on our garage door broke one morning, and so the door would not open. We called AR-BE and they sent out a technician two days later (we asked for a Saturday appointment). He recommended replacing both springs, as they were the same age and both original to the house (1986). They even gave us a 10% discount because they had serviced our door before. Professional, punctual and a fair price based on other estimates we got for the work. We would definitely hire them again.

Two gentlemen performed the original installation, which went fine. The parts are guaranteed for two years, and the labor is guaranteed for one year. Right now, my door isn't functioning properly. I've contacted them, but we're running into some trouble because neither of us can find the original receipt. They've moved offices since they performed the work last year, and they're asking me to locate my copy before fixing the issue under warranty.

They called saying that they would be here between 10 am and noon. At 2 pm I called to see where they were. They apologized and told me they had lost our ticket and were now out of the neighborhood. I told them I would find someone else to do the job.

Something on our garage door broke and was unusable. Called AR-BE and they were able to get to us the same day. We needed one small part and the cable reattached. Very happy with the quick service, and the charges were in line with what I was quoted over the phone.

Excellent, the quote was one of the lowest. The work was one of the best. I would use them again even if they were not among the lower bidders because I trust them to do the job right and clean any messes.

We had an emergency situation where an overhead door came crashing down and missed killing our neighbor by 6 inches. They came when they said they would come - they were here within two hours of me calling them. They were fantastic. They sent a qualified technician who knew what he was doing - he has been doing it for 20 years. He looked at it and knew what the problem was. He had with him all of the parts that he needed and fixed the problem. I would recommend them to anybody. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.
