+ -1 moreI had other electricians come out and they gave me options, and did a real evaluation on the problem - using a megger to test the line under the patio, and tried to replace the GFI first (checking the cheap fix first). He didn't offer any of those options or even check how the line was working from my house to my garage by testing whether it was the GFI setup. I had asked him to provide me a cost evaluation on paper, of what the fix would cost me (to run a new line) and he never provided one.
Description of Work: I had Northway Electric come out to assess a problem I was with my electrical line running under my new patio. He came out, looked a the box and looked at location of the line. I had told him that the line from my house to my garage was likely the issue because there was no problem before the patio went in (and the line is under the patio). He said that probably was the issue and said he'd need to run a new line. That was an ok assessment, but he didn't really evaluate the issue.

I was very happy with him and if he were to go to a different company I would hire that company for sure.The owner, Terry, on the other hand, has yet to send me the final paper work on everything they did after me asking for it 5 times. The price was on the high side but seeing I don't have the paper work in front of me on what they all did who knows...If you hire them, get everything in writing that they did.. I couldn't use what was done for tax info seeing he never sent the paper work and I know some of it was a tax write off..
Description of Work: About half the house rewired, added lighting, hooked up a generator
