The seams are coming apart, the gold strips that hold down the carpet are not keeping the carpet down. Our dishwasher and refrigerator were dented, the washer and dryer were scratched, the range was chipped and scratched with deep scratches, the new glass door spring was sprung which makes it stay open all the time, and they put holes in the walls. The vinyl was supposed to be the best Empire provided but it ended up being as thin as a sheet of paper. The vinyl that we had for 26 years was much better than what we ended up with Empire. The trim was not removed before putting down the carpet. My brand new broom and dustpan that I had in our master bathroom was in the back yard with blue stuff all over it which I have not been able to get off of it. The boss complained to me constantly about me not letting him open up 2 doors that we had our pets in that we were not getting carpet in. The boss said he could not work that way. The salesman told me it would not be an issue!! When I vacuum the carpet the seams get worse. I asked the boss before he left about the seams and gold strips because they looked like they were not going to hold up and he told me they were ok. One spot was never glued down. I called Empire to have someone come out and fix the issues. I was told the system was down and they did not have anyone to come out to do the repairs. I was told she would call me back but it has been about a week now and no one has contacted me. Once again I will be on the phone calling customer service again about the carpet. I will not be replacing the other 7 rooms after what we went through this time. This is now June 2020 and Empire still refuses to call me back to fix the carpet where it has come apart from the corners and seams the day after it was laid down. I have sent numerous emails too! It is now August 2020 and Empire refuses to come out and finish gluing the corners of the carpet down that they missed because it is not considered on-site which another place told us that there should have been a strip of wood with nails run along the area of the wall to hold down the carpet so it would not be coming up. The seams are still coming apart which we were told by another carpet place that the seams should have been ironed together. The supervisor over the men that do the installing told us this carpet that we got is very thick since it has both the carpet and pad together that cannot be stretched so the seams do not match up very well, the pad is nylon is why the threads are sticking up and will never go away, and that is the reason the metal pieces will not hold down the carpet between each room because of the thickness and they should have put down a bigger metal piece to hold the carpet down. The installer supervisor told us that the Empire should take up all this carpet and give us a new carpet that has padding separate from the padding. Empire supervisor said the reason the seams are coming apart is from our pets and they said they would only fix one spot for $250.00. I refused since we had already paid them $7,000.00 and did not receive what we asked for. I have written to Empire Corporate office only to be yelled at. I also wrote the Better Business Bureau which Empire still refused to fix the areas they did not complete correctly. I did not ask for a new carpet only for repairs. I did not even ask for all the damage they did to our walls, our glass door, and appliances. We wanted to be fair about it all but Empire does not care!!! One of our refrigerators was not even a day old and they damaged it. I have also written to the Attorney General Office but have not heard from them at this time. I know that Empire will never correct their mistakes but I am going to keep making complaints so everyone will know how they treat their customers.

While the sells people were really nice the installation crew were not ver good. First they came into the house reeking of cigarette smoke which gave me an asthma attack. Then they dripped toilet water through the house as they took out the old toilets. Grout was left in the sink. They installed a tile of the wrong color and tiles were uneven throughout two of the three bathrooms. When they came back to fix it (after not coming the day they were scheduled to come leaving me waiting all day) they did not clean up hardly at all leaving grout globs in several places as well as tracks and dirt throughout the house. They even left mud on the front porch where they scraped it off their shoes. This along with other details made this a very bad experience.

The installer did not do a good job. The tile flooring is very cheap. I have been trying to get Empire to send someone out to look at this mess, so for they are playing phone tag. It's not worth the $6000.00 i'm paying.

Called and power after my carpet installed found a big scene right inside the door in a big bald spot right outside my bedroom door where there was no carpet at all called them and reported it she said someone would call me back that afternoon that was three months ago never heard from them again. Their carpet guys didn t show up till 330 in the afternoon stayed here till 1030 that night putting in new carpet they were supposed to be here at 8 o clock that morning wasn t very happy about that. Tile guys were great they took a while but they did a great job.
