Never call the general call center number. It is a nightmare. I tried to change the install date, and they cancelled my install instead. The local office is much more receptive to customer inquiries and questions. Some issues keeping promises and the logistics of it did not go smoothly. Quality of install was outstanding. Value for money was outstanding.

Empire’s customers service was very disorganized! They didn’t show up the day they were to install our flooring. They never called. It took us three days before we were able to contact someone and they never returned our call. We had to file a complaint with the BBB before someone contacted us. The young men that installed our flooring did a very good job. They were contracted by Empire.

It was the worst company I have ever worked with in 40 yrs. the customer service was of no help at all. The work was very poorly done not what I was told I was getting. The job was suppose to be done in 2 days. The workers came here 7 times each time they didn’t have enough product. My house was tore up for 6 weeks including Thanksgiving which was ruined. I called customer service at least 25 times each time they told me they couldn’t help me that’s just the way it is sometimes they are sorry. My sister had the same job scheduled 3 days after me and her job was completed in one day same product. I asked for retribution a discounted price for going through 7 weeks of pure torture and dissatisfaction and home torn up. They replied oh no we can’t do that. I even sent pictures of poor quality of work didn’t care said that’s how they do it but that is not what I was told when I scheduled it. During one of the times they were here they had to completely tear up what they had layed down in my hallway because they used chipped and cracked product and I wasn’t paying for that. I had my brother come over and see what a bad job they had done he couldn’t believe it. I’m thinking about calling 6 on your side. The worst thing about all of it is I told them from the start I needed it done as quickly as they could because I was getting it done for health reasons. I had just had a double lung transplant and the health care workers for OSU transplant clinic said it had to be done that the carpet was not good for my new lungs from pet dander and old pet stains . They said (Empire) that’s no problem they could do it. I would not recommend this company to anyone and would try to discourage anyone I knew that were thinking about using them not too. They would be wasting their money and be very disappointed tell them to just look at mine. I still believe they should give me back some of what I paid for a poor job and 6 weeks worth of visits when I was told 2 days. Then the fact I couldn’t do thanksgiving because house was tore up. I really hope this review helps the next person from being ripped off like I was. Stay away from Empire Today they don’t do anything today and customer service really stinks no help at all!

After a couple of scheduling issues, the rep came out to my home on a Saturday with samples, which truly was helpful in making a de cision. I got a great price on beautiful waterproof wood-look flooring. It was installed very quickly after my consultation. The installers were great and listened to my ideas and concerns. I would hire again.

The salesman seemed fine. We set a Saturday for the laminate flooring installation. We hired someone to move our piano and we moved everything else and waited for the installers. They never showed! We finally got ahold of someone and they checked and said they didn't have the flooring in stock!! Would never recommend them to anyone! I canceled the laminate order and the carpet order. Terrible customer service.

Empire Canceled first appt installer called off. Not another installer for all Columbus. Seriously! Customer service stated that seven service calls had to be rescheduled! Second appt was to happen between 12-4 showed up after 7 was in the house after 8:30pm. Poor customer service all around! Team that installed the carpet did a good job!

Although the Subcontractors they hired to install my flooring were very polite and professional, Empire Today did not provide them with sufficient materials to the complete the project on the day of our initial appointment. It took three weeks and three different appointments before my flooring project was completed. In addition, I had to call Empire four times to resolve an OVER CHARGE. I definitely wish that I had utilized a different company and CAUTION everyone "DO NOT TO USE THIS COMPANY"

Salesperson scheduled install dates too early as Empire could not get materials...did not return phone calls promptly but would rather be texted (not everyone does texting)...part of install was removing old linoleum floor which was not done though the installers did a good job and the new vinyl floor looks and feels great...the worst part is Empire requires full payment before install begins (never had this happen before) so you're taking a chance that everything goes well and you'll be happy with the result (I would not recommend them mostly for this)...regardless of what the salesperson or Empire people tell you, you are still taking a huge risk...take the time to read every word of your sales contract even if it's on the salespersons tablet...lucky for us the first part of our job turned out good...we have carpet coming in a few weeks so we can only hope it turns out well also.

The install took 12+ hours, although we were originally told 4 hours by the sales rep. They didn't check their plans initially, so we had to remind the installers that the had to do our foyer. Also there was an unexpected expense due to leveling out the floor between the kitchen and dining room, which was a bit excessive.
