He was very easy to work with scheduling, he showed up on time, with everything he needed to complete the job. He was professional, knowledgeable and pleasant. I would definitely hire him again.

They took apart the dryer and put it back together. I was extremely satisfied. He explained everything he was doing and did just that. Great service!

He thoroughly cleaned the dryer and the vent of all lint. He took apart the dryer to access lint within. He power brushed the complete length of the vent pipe. He cleaned up completely, vacuuming all of the dust created by the job. EXCELLENT.

He was fantastic. We live on the second floor of a vintage condo building so our situation is a little unique. At first it was difficult to determine where the vent went and how to access it, but he kept at it and found a solution. He was very polite and explained things to me clearly but not condescendingly. We'll be using him in two years when it's time to clean the vents again.

I called twice and left detailed messages saying I needed someone to give me an estimate to clean my dryer vent. No response to either call. Maybe one phone message is lost, but two? Nope. Not cool, guy.

Jan arrived a little earlier than the the appointed time and did a basic inspection of the dryer. He pulled the dryer out and discovered that the vent duct had become disengaged from the dryer. He brought in R2D2 and proceeded to clean out 24' of ducting, vacuumed up all of the accumulated lint in the laundry area and completely cleaned all the lint from the dryer - inside and out. Reattached the duct to the dryer and completed the entire task in about an hour. Advised me as to some corrections that might improve the air circulation around the laundry area. All said and done it was a very, very, very professional job. Were it not for the fact that we will be moving out of state, I woulld not hesitate to use Jan on an annual or bi-annual basis to maintain my dryrer

Jan was incredibly kind and very detailed and knowledgeable. Immediately, I knew we were in good hands and I felt like his work was worth every dollar spent. Not only did we end up with a cleared out dryer vent system that allowed for our dryer to function as it should, we also had the added protection of getting our vents covered to keep the birds out. We have since recommended his services to the rest of our condo building.

Jan was amazing. We initially emailed back and forth a little to set a date, and was able to settle on a date that was convenient to both of us. When he arrived, he was polite and courteous. He was very patient in explaining everything he was going to do, and why he was doing it. Although it was not part of the purchased package, he even explained what/how to maintain my washing machine. Something that should have occurred to me but it didn't until it was too late - it did get a little dusty during the cleaning process. I wish I would have removed or covered some items from the laundry room, but that was my fault for not thinking ahead. Overall, a great and easy experience and I will definitely use Wilman Dryer Vent Pro again.

Jan did a very thorough job. He spent over two hours making sure everything was cleaned and working properly. WE have a rather long vent run that was clogged from the previous homeowner who apparently never had the vents cleaned. But Jan had no problems in clearing the clog and making sure the dryer was venting properly. Now my HE dryer is working great. Jan also offered advice on improving some problems and also taped the exhaust vent so that we would not be leaking air back into teh house. Great Job... He will be on my list of annual cleanings!

Jan was punctual, professional, courteous, knowledgeable & explained what he doing and why he was doing it. I think the average person would be very surprised (I certainly was, it was messy) to learn how much lint can build up in their dryer, even if you clean the lint trap after every use. We had used another service in the past, which is required per our condo association (the cleaning that is)....Jan was more thorough and was a much better value. (Plus a very nice guy)...We will be using him again for our next required cleaning.

Jan arrived on time, worked quickly and got our dryer working efficiently. We bought the townhouse in Jan. 2015 and for months had been dealing with a dryer that took hours to dry our clothes. We bought a new set of washer & dryer when moving in so we knew the equipment wasn't the problem. We had Jan come out and he cleaned out the vent from inside to out. We consider our $99 Big Deal through Angies LIst a good investment because our gas dryer cost has decreased and I spend less time waiting for laundry to finish drying. We had family visiting and sleeping in the living room and Jan was as quiet as could be, until his equipment was turned on, but that was expected. We recommend Jan!

Took a bit to get an a appointment (a couple weeks), but he was very accommodating with a 7:00 am appointment. He was on time and professional. Completed vent cleaning in expected time. No issues at all. Recommend him.

It went great! Jan actually took apart the dryer, removing the front panel and top. He cleaned every bit of lint he could find, using his special vacuum. He explained what and why he was doing things. He also gave us tips on dryer use. My dryer now runs like it did when I just got it.

It went well. The person who came, in my case, I wanted him to go on the roof. He had a ladder and he expanded it. He wanted to go on the roof but the ladder was not big enough. He did mention that he'd call me back or schedule another time for going on top of the roof but after that, he never called. He didn't go on the roof to check what was going on. He came right away. He did not charge me more than the "Big Deal" I purchased. He did a good job.

Jan Wildman is the BEST! I called him late in the week a couple of weeks ago and we set up an appointment for this past Thursday afternoon. (While his home base is in the north suburbs, he has appointments in the city of Chicago one or two days per week, I believe.) Jan arrived a few minutes early, immediately introduced himself, and presented his card. He assessed the current condition of the dryer as well as the ventilation in the small laundry room where our washer and dryer are kept, took a look at where the external dryer vent was located on the outer wall of our townhome, and began work. I know that our particular washer/dryer set-up, combined with the small size of the laundry room, did not make for an easy go of it for Jan when cleaning the dryer vent. However, Jan took it in stride and did an excellent job! He is also very honest and a really nice guy. I would absolutely highly recommend Jan to all of my friends and family and will call him again when it's time for a return visit. Jan Wildman really is one of the best (or even, THE best) service providers I have ever hired.

I've been a homeowner for nearly 40 years and have dealt with many, many tradesmen during that time. Jan Wildman has got to be one of the best! Not only did he clean my dryer vent more thoroughly than it had ever been done before, but he diagnosed a problem with my dryer and (at my request) recommended an appliance repairman to fix it. Jan was perfectly professional, pleasant and fastidious and I will definitely be calling him again.

Jan arrived on time--called to see if he could come early as he was running early which was fine. He was extremely thorough checking and cleaning the vent both inside and outside. He moved out my dryer which was in a closet and took the cover off to get inside. He explained how to keep it cleaner in the future and fixed the outdoor cover so there was not as much of a build up. He was clean and vacuumed out my dryer closet and covered his shoes and was careful of my bleached floors which scratch easily. He was more thorough than the last service I had on my vents and I would definitely use him in the future. I am extremely pleased with his quality of service and professionalism.

I had NO IDEA you had to do dryer maintenance or vent cleaning - my dryer wasn't working very well and someone suggested this to me, and when Jan came out he found major clogs in the dryer vent as well as evidence of little fires INSIDE the dryer - he showed me several charred bits of lint and a melted wire. It was terrifying - clean your dryer vent! He also recommended a new lint screen to prevent the lint from getting down inside the dryer and gave me the part number so I could find it cheaply on Amazon. He told me about a cleaning tablet, also cheap on Amazon, to make my washer run better. And he told me all these little things that were going wrong or in need of maintenance in both my washer and dryer that I had no idea about - he was like, most people think you just put in the detergent and press the button and it runs forever, and I was like uh yeah that's exactly what I thought, but he showed me all these moldy and dirty spots in my washing machine and told me how to clean them every day. He was just amazingly generous with his time - he didn't try to up-sell me on anything, he just gave me advice to make my machines run better and safer, and they both are running noticeably better now. He said every year he'll send me a reminder postcard to check in with him if I need maintenance so I don't even need to remember. Really great experience.

He was extremely professional, very prompt, and flexible with schedules. He did more than just clean our dryer vents, he fixed a detached hose that we had not noticed that was causing our laundry room to become a mess and extremely humid. He did not charge us extra. He was extremely thorough and wouldn't hesitate to call him again.
