Great professional work! Took my appointment even though I was outside his usual area and he had to drive through rush hour traffic to get here and was delayed slightly because of that. Devoted 2 hours to the project. Analyzed and explained situation. Thoroughly cleaned vent, cleaned up the resulting mess, and left the area cleaner than it has been in years. Tested dryer performance before leaving. Provided advice about ongoing maintenance of dryer and washer. A model for all service personnel!

My dryer vents were really bad. It could take a couple of hours to dry a regular load. But Jan came to the rescue. He had tools that I have never seen before. The tools kind of reminded me of what a chimney sweep might use .He told me he would make my vents as good as they were on day one, and he did. Jan cleaned all the way from inside the dryer to out side. I've had the vents cleaned before but they were cleaned with a small vacuum and just the vent coming out of the dryer and only as far as the vacuum would go. Jan's vacuum is a large professional machine with a lot of tools. Happy to say my clothes dry in the right amount of time now. Jan was professional and very polite. Thanks Jan

Wildman Service was punctual, courteous, neat and thorough. He cleaned the drier, the drier hose and drier duct from my apartment to outside. I had lots of questions; he was patient and answered them all. I would recommend him without reservations.

Jan Wildman is the expert on dryers 1. He cleaned the entire exhaust flow path of my dryer including the part inside the dryer itself, making the machine work like new. My clothes dry now in half the time. 2. He found a gas leak and fixed it 3. He gave me useful tips on how to get the most out of my washer and dryer With all above, I figure I will make back at least half of his fee with gas and electrical savings, not to mention the convenience factor.

Our drying had been getting progressively worse. It ran and ran--produced heat, but the clothes were still wet. Wildman noted several things: There was no vent cover at all on the outside. This had allowed birds to nest in the venting. Also, the vent was really too long and curved in funny ways that made it hard for the hot air to get out. When he pulled the venting off, there was a bunch of black water in the lower curve of the venting. Initially thought his "checkup" cost of $160 was really expensive, but we have never had to do this in a house before, so what do I know? Was thrilled that he solved the problem and fixed everything for just a little over $200. He was very pleasant and professional.

He did a good job and explained things to me about the dryer. He was right on time.

He did a very thorough job, explained how to keep my particular machine in the best operating order and he informed me that my existing venting did not need to be replaced (and why). He made some minor tweaks to get my venting up to par instead.

This is an update to my May 20th 2014 review. It seemed everything went great for my dryer vent cleaning and my friend's ( I bought her a cleaning service). HOWEVER, I did not notice that my account was not charged until months later. For my cleaning I was charged three times the quoted price, and for my friends cleaning we were charged slightly over one and a half times the quoted price. I called to see if there was a mistake. I was told "that's the price". So the cleaning was great but it cost me $200 gor we and slightly over $100 for my friend's. Note-only the regular cleaning was done. No parts, or extras were needed.

Very through and professional job, would definitely use them again.

Actually he deserves an A+! He was thorough, personable & gave some helpful maintenance tips. He gave a discount (in addition to the Angie's List discount) since it was a new dryer. He even cleaned the refrigerator coils for free.

Initially, we contacted Jan to clean out the dryer venting because you never know what the previous owners did, or how often they cleaned and so forth. Unfortunately, we quickly learned that the previous owners had a busted vent piece IN the wall. So, when Jan went to clean the venting - he could get his cleaning brushes all the way down but had no suction for cleaning. (that sucked, ba dum ching) After coming back a few days later, he came prepared with all of the necessary supplies and went to work. He's a very friendly, informative fellow. He works hard and doesn't take advantage of people and the situation they may find themselves in. Jan was a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend him for anyone to have their dryer vents cleaned. You never know what expected/unexpected issues you may encounter! For us, we were expecting to have a regular cleaning and it turned out to be much more. I'm very glad we called him.

This was an amazing experience. Jan was punctual, professional, and did much more than I expected. He vacuumed out the vent pipes and then used a brush on long extensions to further de-lint the entire route. He took apart the dryer and cleaned the interior completely. He checked the entire vent passage from the dryer to the vent screen on the roof. He spent close to two hours doing his this job. I was so impressed at his work, that I actually paid him more than he billed.

Jan was thorough and left the area clean. He went above and beyond the contracted service at no addition charge as he felt that it would be better for the life of the dryer. I will recommend him to friends and family.

It went fantastic! He was on time and completed the work plus more while he was here. Replaced dryer vent exhaust hose because we asked if there was something better than what we had once he was here already. He had it on his truck and he was right it is much better! We also inquired on the clean out of the fridge coils and he took care of it during the same visit. Provided my husband with a lot of helpful information that he appreciated very much. A truly honest professional that everyone should hire. A truly delightful person.

The service was outstanding. I called Jan to remove a bird that was caught in our dryer vent, and he was at my home within 10 min. After several minutes of struggling with the bird as it was flying around the laundry room, he was able to catch it with his hands and released it outside. He also cleaned the dryer vent, hose, replaced the external vent cap and gave me several tips on keeping it clean. His price was very reasonable and included the Angie's List coupon discount. I highly recommend Jan.

Jan did a great job. He crawled into our attic to access where the dryer vented out of the house (the roof was too steep to access from outside). He discovered that the vent was completely blocked with lint. And was installed incorrectly. He clean away the lint and aligned the metal vents correctly. He also advised me to keep the doors of the closet open when the dryer is in use to maintain airflow. He also vacuumed my refrigerator coils and showed me how to access them. He spend about 3 hours on the project.

Jan was at the house as scheduled over the phone. He came prepared with all his equipment. Even asked if he could park in our driveway! He was a delight to talk with and explained everything he was going to do. In the 9 years that we have owned a stackable full size washer/dryer....he is the first one who ever removed the top and front of the dryer! He cleaned all the nooks and crannies. He moved the dryer away from the wall, disconnected the hose, cleaned it out, sealed the joints better with tape and vacuumed the floor behind the units! He also went up on the first floor roof where the dryer vent was and cleaned that out. He offered tips on keeping my units clean and gave an Angie's list discount. Looking forward to calling him again next time and sharing his name with friends!

The duct became disconnected again and I was not able to secure it, so moist air vented into the apt. I found this provider on Angie's list, called, he was able to come over within 15 minutes. He suggested the cleaning as part of the job. Really nice guy and knew what he was doing. Quick, efficient service.

Great job! Very thorough. Jan, the owner, came the same day I called and cleaned out the dryer vent which included his need to go on the roof. He also spent time educating me on the use of the dryer and even the washing machine! The dryer now works better than ever. Highly recommended!

I highly recommend Jan and the work he performed. He was very thoughtful, and trustworthy in the house. He cleaned up the area (actually better than it was before he was here). He had to make two openings in the drywall, but he repatched it up before he left, and looks great. I tested the dryer today, and this was the first time the dryer completed one cycle and all the clothes were perfectly dry. I've normally had to do it 2-3 times. Besides completing the work efficiently and superbly, Jan offered suggestions on other things he saw in the laundry room. In addition, I'm hiring him next week when he is back in the north side of Chicago to clean the refrigerator's coils. I will definitely re-use Jan again, and share his business cards with others. I wish other technicians were this knowledgeable and good at their skills. My dad will be using him as well.

Jan was terrific. He responded to my initial email quickly and came out the next day. He cleaned out my dryer venting, fixed some ducting issues, fixed the outside louvers, recommended some changes, and was fast, clean and courteous. Tremendous. We'll be having him back every year for sure.
