Description of Work: July 2014 Shelly installed 2 French drains to get rain water away from my house. They did a very good job and the drains work well keeping water out of that side of the basement. I contacted them to put in another French drain and will sign their quote this week.

Description of Work: I had a meeting with Shelly at my house, and I explained what I wanted to do in my backyard. He gave my a couple ideas for the type of bushes that might work. He then sent me a quote for the work that we discussed.

Description of Work: I purchased a consultation and drawings for $59. I was contacted promptly and got an inspection, no drawings and what was going to be plantings in 2 small areas for double my budget. I went with another company who gave me a great value, hard work and no condescension.

Description of Work: Gary was quick to respond and listen to our ideas for a new backyard area. He was very professional and timely. He followed up with questions to proceed with the project. We would use Gary and his team in the future to complete our project at the right time.

Description of Work: When we moved into our house our back patio was in really bad shape. The concrete was misshaped and warped and during long rains the water would back up to our house. Shelly came in and put in a new patio and built out the dirt around our house to allow for more proper drainage.

Description of Work: (I've been waiting to see what the snow melt would do before submitting a review and how that it has I'm able to) | |Hired Shelly's to remove a large amount of Day Lilly beads and replace with top soil and sod & to make for better drainage and create a swale for drainage towards our alley. After waiting 6 weeks due to a full schedule and rain delays, they came and knocked it out in less than 6 hours. |Issues: |1. Sod was put down in July / August time frame and in hindsight we should have waited for cooler temps. |2. Had to water copious amounts of water to save what we could of the sod only to lose about 1/3 |3. Drainage still issue as sod / slopes away from where it is intended / discussed.Clearly care was not taken to have correct slope in direction it was planned / discussed. Water now flows away from "swale". |4. Workers placed sod right against wood siding of garage - prime for rot |5. We have massive amounts of Day Lilly's growing through the newly laid sod. Care was not taken to sift bulbs out of ground. In some spots it's fine..no growth, others its terrible.If I knew there would be so much re-growth through the sod, I would have nuked the Day Lilly's with Round-Up or a commercial herbicide weeks before they were pulled out to ensure their demise. | |I called Shelly back to look at the situation and he advised that he previously mentioned that we would have "some" Day Lilly's coming through. Which I don't recall. Also that we didn't water the edges of the sod where most of the dead sod was. You'd think that if summer temps were going to be an issue, a landscaper would suggest waiting until cooler temps to save the sod. |No offer to replace dead sod or correct drainage issue or figure out way to get rid of the re-growing Day Lilly's. | |Average to poor job for $2500. |

Description of Work: They aerate, fertilize, and cut the grass. They also edge and cultivate (turn the soil) under the bushes.

Description of Work: Landscaping project involving transplanting trees and shrubs to different locations. Also putting mulch around a playset and refinishing some brickwork in our driveway.
