Description of Work: Renovated the first floor. The estimated time it would take was 8 weeks. Because Randy Tapper elected to do the work without a permit, the Village of Deerfield shut us down for over a month. The project took 6 months. Have had to hire professionals to come in & repair too much of the items they installed; furnace, Windows, hard wood floor. None of his employees & sub-contractors got along and with all of the bickering, communication was lost. Responsiveness was terrible & when they did come in to fix it, they either didn't fix it or just did enough "for now". We wanted it done right and really didn't want them in our home any more so we just hired other companies to fix the issues. My biggest piece of advice is if you use them. Get all agreed upon parts of the project IN WRITING. We learned our lesson. We either were told "Where in the contract was that item listed or included?", or "Show me where I charged you for that....? We verbally agreed on many things but because it wasn't in writing - couldn't get it done. Do your homework - get several bids.

Description of Work: They remodeled our kitchen and laid hardwood floors in our house.
