I received an estimate and when I called to schedule the work done, they were able to come out the next. day. The work was done in a timely fashion and the plumber cleaned up everything when he was done. I was very hesitant to hire a plumber because I have no idea as to what to expect. I was very pleased with everything!

Basement flooded, plumber came and identified problems and free estimate. We were seeking estimates and called him later to do the job and he was very accomodating and very efficient. Would recommend him to anyone. Even provided some followup services and free estimates to avoid future flood possibilities.

Cant tell you how refreshing it is to have an honest, patient and knowledgable plumber that you can trust! He showed me the problem, and gave me options including how I could do it myself and save costs. He gave me his card and instructions on what to do if problems persist, new ones crop up and what to look for. And he did not charge me for the information. I know I will need plumming services in the future (only a matter of time before the sump pump needs to be replaced) and I will DEFINITELY use this company-- fantastic experience.

We had a bathroom tub faucet in which the hot water control would leak heavily when it was turned on. Attempting to fix it myself, I quickly realized that the control was not coming apart easily. Rather than damage it making it irreparable, I decided to call a plumber. Based on its Angie?s List ratings, I called Reliance Plumbing Friday morning. They were able to have someone out by 5 PM that day. After spending over an hour trying to disassemble the hot water control, it was obvious that a plastic cartridge retaining nut could not be removed without damaging it, so the plumber stopped for the day. On Saturday the plumber called and said that he was able to find a duplicate nut for the control and was going to carefully cut out the old one. After spending a significant amount of time again, he was able to replace the hot water cartridge and fix the problem. Had he have not been able to fix it, my only recourse would have been to replace the faucet which would have involved breaking the tile under the tub since there was no access port which would have cost me $1000 or more. The plumber they sent had over 15 years of experience and an outstanding work ethic. He was very patient and determined to find a way to repair the faucet if at all possible. Based on the amount of time he spent, the charges were extremely reasonable. I will definitely use Reliance Plumbing and especially that plumber again.

i was afraid that my 70+ year old clay sewer lines had finally bit the dust since a lot of the front yard around the clean out pipe and the waiter main was dead as if waste and chemicals were spilling out beneath the dirt. i actually joined Angie's List to find a sewer contractor and among the A listed plumbers was Reliance Plumbing who also happened to be on a preferred list I got from my town's Public works department. I called for an estimate, especially since a number of Angie's members had recommended Reliance, which used a camera to scope the sewer lines. Reliance came virtually 30 minutes after I called for an estimate, scoped the pipe and revealed no cracks or holes in the clay and only minor root infiltration. Andre was really helpful and suggested that the problem was not too severe and a root dissolving product called Root X would do just as good a job as rodding. The whole process was easy and informative and I don't have to spend $4500 to tear up my lawn and replace pipes. Not if only i knew what was causing the dead grass....

Received 5 quotes and selected Reliance. They were on time clean and performed the work flawlessly.

When I finally decided to check my crawl space, lo and behold there was 6 inches of water down there. I called Reliance and they were able to send someone even though it was a holiday weekend. The service person was very knowledgeable, had the necessary part (new pump) and was able to start the pump out immediately. It was necessary to get the water pumped out and then a week later to install PVC pipe instead of the flexible tubing that had been on the old pump. I was very please with the service and would not hessitate to call them again.

They were responsive and courteous. Their price was very competitive and it seems like they did a good job.

I called Reliance yesterday and I asked if they could come today. The person I spoke with said sure, he could come in the morning, I said I would rather afternoon, he said no problem. He scheduled my appt. between 12 and 2. He quoted me the price over the phone, with a 50% discount for the 2nd and 3rd toilet, and a 15% discount for being an Angie's List member. At 1:00, a woman from Reliance called, and told me the plumber would be there within the hour. At exactly 2:00 Andre Avila rang my doorbell. He immediately put on protective footwear. He put a tarp down over my bathroom rug so it would not get dirty, and handed the fragile items to me that were on top of the toilet tank, so I could remove them so they would not break.Within half hour, he had augered all 3 toilets, without making any mess at all. He was smiling and talking to me the whole time, I almost forgot why he was there! He advised me that my toilets may have to be rebuilt in a couple of years, and quoted me the price of what that would be. He also advised me that one of my toilets may need to be rebuilt sooner, so I should be aware of that. I called another company that had quoted me $200 per toilet, no discount for 2nd and 3rd. The entire bill for 3 toilets, with labor was $261.00! I saved over $300! Andre was so friendly and professional, I will certainly use Reliance again. Thank you Angie's List!

I received a reliance quote for a kitchen drain cleaning. They submitted a quote that included several much larger jobs; sewer main repairs and adding clean-outs. In total they wanted work that exceeded $5,000 USD. Thankfully I called around and spoke to two other reputable firms to save several thousand dollars.

I have used this company a few times in the past and was pleased with their service so I called them again when I needed new service. I called on a Friday evening and they were able to get someone out the next Saturday morning. Since it wasn't a rush I didn't need it to be that evening. The person who answered the phone was very courteous and very accomadating with appointment requests. The gentleman came out the next morning right on time and is very nice and remembered me from the last time he had serviced my house. After I explained to him what the problem was, he gave me an estimate and after I gave him the go-ahead with the work, he worked quickly and efficiently. The drain is unclogged and I can finally take showers without having water reach 3 inches above my ankles by the time I'm done showering. That's a good feeling.

John Henry Holden was quick to come out and give a resonable estimate yesterday. He was able to come out today to replace the toilet and shower cartridge, he was on time and very polite. In a little over an hour he replaced both parts and waited to make sure we had no problems after turning the water back on. He left our home neat. We will be calling John Henry agian.

Trying to remove the cap to rod out the exit myself I broke a PVC pipe leading to the exit, which drained a utility full of water on basement floor. Called Reliance and they said they could have someone out within the hour. John arrived within an hour to look at the problem, gave me a good estimate and explained what needed to happen. I agreed to the estimate, but unfortuantely he didn't have the necessary materials (not his fault though, caused by the fact he was in another truck). Promised to be back by 8am the next day. Arrived just before 8am, reconfigured some of the piping and had everthing operational in short order. Service was EXCELLENT, clearly he knows his stuff and is very very skilled. I will definitely call Reliance again when needed, and will be specifcally asking for John!

Service personnel showed up on time, determined work required to be performed, and provided estimate. Work was performed in a very professional manner. Unanticipated problems were encountered and resolved (requiring nearly two hours, significantly more time than anticipated), notwithstanding charge for all work performed did not exceed initial estimate.

We called in the morning and were given a afternoon time for someone to come and provide us with an estimate. The person came in on time. We did decide to go with him because we wanted to get the flooring done. The job was over in 45 minutes, although I am sure it could have been faster. Job done well, no questions, but I was not happy with the price I paid for the job. Two cuts in the copper, one elbow and4 total spots to solder. I dont know for the time and effort, over $ 200 does come across as pricey.

We have used John Henry for 4 jobs now and always request him as he is prompt, polite, honest and very smart. If you have a plumbing problem, he's your go to guy.

On Halloween we discovered a leak beneath the sink in our powder room. Keith came the next day, managed to stop the leak and recommended replacing all parts since the sink is probably 50 years old. We bought the faucet from an e-tailer and he returned to do the installation. In the process we found that our main shutoff valves are also deteriorated and will need replacing. We will probably have Reliance do that work as well, since we have used them several times for a variety of work on our 55-year-old house. Keith seems very knowledgeable and honest. I appreciate the fact that Reliance always calls to confirm appointments and lets us know when the plumber is on the way.

This went very well, they had a plumber at my house within 2 hours of my phone call. The work took about an hour.

Used Reliance again and they did a good job again. Had a leaking toilet in the front powder room. Sometimes the flapper would get stuck and the back of the bowl would leak. It only leaked when it was used. I think it had been a problem going back to the previous owners. It was not a high priority since it is a bathroom we don't use very much, if not at all. I had used Reliance before for an urgent plumbing problem so I did not have to do a lot of oversight for this work. I told them it was not an urgent problem. They came when they were supposed to and their dispatcher kept me informed of their schedule. Plumber first tried to do the simplest and cheapest repair that would take care of the problem, which I appreciate. However, he noticed there was a hairline crack in the back of the bowl and the washer could not be tightened. As I mentioned before, I think the toilet had been a problem going back to the original owners and if it would have been a simple fix they would have already fixed it. So I gave them approval to get a replacement. They researched the necessary replacement model and part and they called me two days later with the price of the part. I had already checked the price on the Internet so I knew the quoted price was not unreasonable. It was about average. Of course, since it was the front powder room, it was a high-end model. They called me a week later when the toilet bowl came in and scheduled an appointment to install it. Again, they were punctual and the dispatcher kept me informed about their schedule. The part installation was quick and they were finished before I thought they would be. They kept the work area neat and were considerate of the tile and other flooring surface care. I cannot think of anything they could have done better.

Unbelievable. I discovered water on the basement floor. It was obviously dripping from the ceiling. I checked all the obvious places to determine where the leak originated, but couldn't find it. Andre arrived, went right to work. Within a short time, he determined the source of the problem and corrected it in no time. Other plumbers would have charged me for a service call, but not Reliance. Problem solved without a gouge to my wallet. Reliance is the best plumbing service I have ever utilized. And Andre is a super professional.

Reliance charged me $125 to come to my house on Sunday and did not repair the toilet. Then they said it would cost an additional $625 to fix the toilet on Thursday for total charges of $750. They gave no discount and did not substract the price of the emergency call from the total estimate. I cancelled with them and went with Garrity Plumbers who fixed the toilet on Thursday for $125 thereby saving $625. They would have fixed it on Sunday for the same price because they had the parts and Reliance didn't. Then Reliance called on Thursday (even though I had told their front desk I had cancelled) to say they didn't have the parts and would have to reschedule even though I had taken a day off from work to be there and this was a huge expensive inconvenience for me. They must have known they didn't have the parts the day before and could have called to reschedule the day before so I would't miss a day of work. I was very disappointed with Reliance and very happy I went with Garrity plumbers who were courteous, professional and much more reasonably priced. Garrity arrived on time, had the parts and finished the job saving me $625.

Reliance was excellent. They did the initial inspection the same day I called. The person was polite and courteous and explained that they needed to come back out with a camera to diagnose the issue. The second crew came out two days later and diagnosed the issue and gave me an estimate. I took a day to check prices with a few other firms and found that Reliance was in the ballpark. When I agreed to the work, they secured the permits, scheduled the inspections and performed the work flawlessly. They communicated frequently and I was very pleased with the level of service and professionalism.

I've used them four or five times. They're reasonable, on time, honest, and they always seem to get the job done. I like them a lot.

Our master bath is 20 years old with dark green toilet, bidet and tub. To repair the toilet, which was running constantly, a conversion kit was required to meet current standards. We opted for the repair rather than buying a new toilet in order to keep the color scheme intact. We're not happy about spending so much on a repair but this seems to be due to Kohler rather than to Reliance Plumbing. Andre explained right away that we would need to buy the conversion kit or replace the toilet. The kit was ordered and Andre came back to make the repair a few days later. So far so good - there is a one year warranty.

I think the person should have done the work with the bill but he quoted me more for it. The work he did was fine. I would rate him down for professionalism.
