They were awesome. The owner was on site regularly, so that was really nice.

I thought their price was good and we were very satisfied.

The experience went very well. Their price was very reasonable. They were reliable, and we had some minor problems afterwards that were the manufacture’s fault, but they took care of them with no issues. Overall, we’re happy with what they did!

The experience was at least ten years ago, but it was fine overall. I haven’t had any problems. I wouldn’t use them again since I found another person (friend) that would be able to help me out with projects like this.

The service was fine overall. I was happy with their work and their price was right. They were incredibly responsive, showed up on time, and did a good job. I had a problem with one of the windows, and they sent out the manufacturer’s rep. immediately. I haven’t had any problems with the work that they did since.

Working with Nu Concepts began as a nice experience. Steve came to our home, drew a lovely design, and offered some great recommendations. After receiving similar drawings and quotes from other contractors, we decided to go with Nu Concepts. What followed was, hands down, the worst experience we have ever had with a subcontractor. After an unexpected death in the family, we asked Steve to push the project back a week or two, but he refused. So after the work was completed, we went outside to review, and found things were not as they should have been. The mortar for the bricks did not match (it still doesn't). One of the brand new windows did not open. Many of the seems had been left un-caulked. The window sill had a cut right in the middle of the window. The door was not the model we had selected. After calling Steve to voice our concerns, we were pushed to the backburner. Apparently, since our check had already cleared, we weren't on the top of his priority list. Steve refused to come out and see the work because it was a Saturday, and although he's a business owner, he doesn't work on the weekends. It took TWO WEEKS for Steve to even come look at our home. And on the day he did come, he showed up 45 minutes late. Steve volunteered to paint the mortar, and even offered that he would do so FOR FREE! (as if the $20k he collected didn't include this). I did not find this remedy to be appropriate, as painted mortar looks nothing like the actual mortar we had selected and paid for. Steve took advantage of our family's tragedy, and he was incredibly dishonest. When I asked why there was a cut in the concrete sill, he assured me that the stone quarry does not stock sills more than 6 feet. I immediately called the quarry in question, and they assured me they had both 8' and 10' sills in stock and on hand. STEVE = LIAR! In the end, I regret writing a final check to Steve and Nu Concepts. Had our family not been in the midst of a tragedy, we would have sued him for not completing the work that he had been contracted to do. Steve was well aware of this tragedy, and he viewed it as an opportunity to take advantage of someone and make a nice profit. I cannot say this enough... "STEER CLEAR OF STEVE WALOWITZ AND NU-CONCEPTS!!!" They are unprofessional, unethical, and incapable of dealing with their customers. No one should ever feel like a second class citizen after writing a TWENTY THOUSAND DOLLAR CHECK, and that's how Steve made us feel (like he was bending over backwards to come review his own work).

They were really nice. I believe the owner ended up coming out because he normally does our area if something comes up. He was very professional, on time. He had a lot of information to give us. We are not using them because we are just not doing the work. It’s not got anything to do with them and we decided not to do the work right now. He has so many good ideas as to how we can change the way our house looks. Basically they are able to give my house a face lift. He had so many ideas and it was very helpful. If we do build a house we probably will use them.

We recently purchased our new home and felt like something was missing from the exterior. We had always admired the curb appeal of our neighbor's house and learned that Nu-Concepts had completely transformed the exterior of their home. We reached out to Nu-Concepts and immediately heard from Ken and shortly after, he made a house call to give us more information and a quote regarding constructing a portico. We were impressed by Ken's enthusiasm for his work and his passion for his customers and quality, not to mention the incredible "before and afters" we saw both on the Nu-Concepts website and driving around to the many homes Nu-Concepts had done in our area. Within a few weeks of meeting with Ken, we agreed on the project, had construction scheduled AND completed! Better yet, the entire process of working with Nu-Concept was simple and pain-free, and after remodeling our previous home from top to bottom, we know how difficult any type of construction process can be! And the results are incredible. I feel like we have a new home - it was EXACTLY what was missing the quality and detail of the construction has left our visitors speechless. The portico has transformed our home and is currently the talk of our entire street! It is with great pride that I recommend Nu-Concepts to anyone looking for a company that can provide quality, awe-inspiring updates to the exterior of their home.

Ken was a great resource and very helpful. He even followed up after the windows were installed to see if I needed anything and then sent someone over to help with some windows that were sticking a bit due to the weather.

I called this co. because of the ratings it has on Angie's List. My first experience was with the receptionist who was either hard of hearing or having difficulties the day I called. She really did not understand what I wanted. I did set up an appt. for 4pm and I explained to the receptionist that I was having the house sprayed for bugs that day and earlier would not work. A little man came to the house 1/2 hour early. He gave me the card of Steven Walowitz who is pres. of the co. He insisted on entering my home, even though I said no, and told him it was being sprayed. Terminex truck was outside in plain view. Even the terminex guy thought this guy was having problems. Because this co. has an A rating I decided he might be a fluke. He told me each window capped would be $65. The majority of my windows have three panels, would it be a different cost? Yes he said. But didn't divulge that info until I had to ask. I asked him for a written estimate he told me it would be $3000 for all the windows and $8000 for the house. Still no written estimate. I gave him my email address to send me an estimate-written. He said that was the numbers and he didn't need to email me and he left. He arrived early, is was not respectful of my home or the situation. He didn't want to answer my questions and basically was a waste of time.

The process went very smoothly. Ken always showed up on time and was extremely responsive. We interviewed 2 companies for our job and we selected Nu-Concepts based upon a couple things we really liked: Prepared a detailed rendering of our home with the recommended upgrades Broke down the initial estimate so that we could pick and choose what we wanted to do right away vs. down the road Ken was passionate about his work and was excited about updating our home (it's a dramatic before & after) Ken used constraint when presenting changes. He knew we had a budget and didn't try to sell us on too many new features. It would have been disappointing if the upgraded rendering had all kinds of features that were far out of reach. Ken is pleasantly persistent. We probably would still be thinking about the project without his regular follow-up. Ken was always on time and friendly. He accommodated our busy schedules and busy household. We have 2 little girls (2-year old and 9-month old), and he never seemed to mind when they demanded attention during our conversations. Ken came to our house 3-4 times to settle all of the details of our project. We scheduled a start date for 3 weeks after the contract was signed. John, the leader of the installation crew, came to our house a few days prior to the start date to prepare for the installation. We discussed all the details that you don't really think about - shape of the gable vents, color of the soffits, lighting placement, etc. John and his crew showed up around 8am every day and left most nights by 5:30pm (which we appreciated). The crew definitely had a rhythm and was very efficient. John and Ken checked in with us regularly to make sure we were happy with the work. They finished on schedule and did a good job cleaning up the site. Ken checked back in with us a few weeks later to make sure we were happy. Great experience!!! We will definitely use Nu-Concepts in the future.

They did a fantastic job from start to finish! We sat down to discuss replacing siding and updating the exterior. Steve worked on a plan, and came up with a drawing to help us visualize the project. The crew started pretty quickly, and worked long days. Steve was very responsive to all of our questions. He gave us names of people to replace the garage door and stain the front door. Everyone was very conscientious and hardworking. We were extremely happy with the work. Everyone in the neighborhood has told us how fantastic our home looks! It looks like a new home!

They took a picture of our house then drew a picture of what it would look like when complete - and this was very helpful. Owner was very helpful throughout the process. When he decided that the windows in the back of the house needed to be capped he simply capped them without charging us any extra. Great company to work with.

They were not forcibly trying to sell us anything but just laid out what our options were. They gave us the options to do things over time if we could not afford everything at once. They were willing to do a plan first, and then we could do it in whatever way we could afford it. They were easy to work with and very good about answering any questions that we had. Their estimated price was $25,000. We decided to have them do the work because we had read good reviews about them on Angie’s List, and since they had done a lot of work in our area, they were able to provide a lot of references.

20 original windows replaced in 85 year old home. Despite frigid temperatures, got most replaced in one day. Work was high quality, but it was dusty inside and some small debris left outside that I've been picking up since.

They actually work with you, kind of like an interior designer. You can pick out what you want. They have been very good.

The project went beautifully. The crew showed up on time, and with a crew of 5 guys, did the whole job in one day. They custom buildt the portico onsight. There were a few little things I asked them to change, (such as color of flashing) etc. and they were very accommodating. Although the company drew a diagram of my home with the portico beforehand so I could see what it would look like, the project turned out more beautiful than I expected. The workmanship, attention to detail and the quality is evident from the street. Another bonus I was not expecting....they covered all the wood parts with aluminum siding material, making it virtually maintenance free. The whole process was a pleasure and hassle-free!

Terrific job! Ended up with Therma Tru double doors instead of wood for simplicity of maintenance. Doors look great. The installers realized the original door installation was so poorly done that they asked if I ever had water leaking in, and indeed I had. They installed a new threshold in a way to ensure no more leaking (and they were totally correct). No more leaking problems. No more rain coming in between the two doors. Door is properly insulated. New hardware looks great. New interior wood trim works much better and highlights the doors. The new doors blend beautifully with the original transom and wood surround - very difficult to notice the slight variation in color. The installers were very professional. I'd recommend Nu-Concepts without hesitation.

We have done a great deal of work on our house over the years, and this was the smoothest, most pleasant and most stress-free renovation we have ever undertaken. Steve Walowitz, the company president, is a terrific guy and he remained involved throughout every step of the process. He made excellent suggestions, both with regard to design and to product selection, and was open to incorporating our preferences as well. He did not push the priciest products, but instead told us the various options and made suggestions based on our specific house and neighborhood. He was very easy to work with and remained involved throughout the installation process, stopping by every few days to see how things were going. He was also always completely responsive when we would call with questions. His staff is fantastic: the secretaries who answer the phone are very pleasant, efficient and organized and our installation crew was absolutely terrific. Not only were they very competent, they were professional, pleasant, very hard-working, and cleaned up the site beautifully at the end of each work day. Last but not least, they completed the job in a very short period of time, and a day and a half a head of schedule!

The pricing is reasonable and they were straight forward.

Went well. Steve showed up early and explained all my options thoroughly. Gave me an estimate on the spot and called to follow through. Unfortunately I could not get a permit to add the portico to the house.

Nu-Concepts Window Co. did high quality work for me. Steve was very helpful to me in suggesting different options on style and colors. He had excellent advice that I put to use. The crew was very prompt, professional and neat. They cleaned up very well and stuck to their estimate.

THE BIGGEST THING, FOR THE PRICE THEY CHARGED, IS THAT SOME OF THE NAILS ARE STILL STICKING OUT AND THERE IS A CRACK IN ONE OF THE PIECES OF MOLDING, WHICH MAKES IT NOT FLUSH WITH THE WALL. (THE MOLDING IS MORE DECORATIVE THAN NORMAL MOLDING.) I HAVE SOMEONE FROM THE COMPANY COMING OUT TO INSPECT THEIR WORK. THAT WILL DETERMINE IF I WILL USE THEM AGAIN.
