+ 4 moreThe work began in the fall of 2011 and was completed in the spring of 2012. After an initial delay caused by delays in another job Mizener was working on, the timing went smoothly. Everything necessary to close up the house for winter was completed in a timely fashion. The carpenters and painters were professional, prompt, cleaned up after themselves and were easy to work with. Questions that arose were easily resolved. The job was quoted on a time and materials basis and the price was fair. The work men went out of their way to make sure we were satisfied. My only dissatisfaction was with management.
Description of Work: Mizener Construction repaired and replaced two sets of French doors, storm and screens to accompany them, repaired and replaced trim inside and out, painted trim and walls, repaired and replaced trim and stucco as needed all over the house, painted trim and windows on the outside of the house. The job grew beyond what we originally planned to do because it is an old house and that is quite commonly the case. They brought in storm door people to install the storm doors. The original work was well done so we had Mizener do additional things after the doors were repaired/replaced.

+ -1 moreAlthough it took much longer to get proposals and then to get this accomplished (due to other work commitments on the part of Mizener Construction and then by weather) the quality of the work was very good. Making changes and adjustments as the project was going on was never a problem and is always expected with this kind of project. Most of the work was done in October and November but a few details were not finished until the spriing of 2012. The workmen were competent, prompt, cleaned up and easy to have around.
Description of Work: We hired Mizener Construction to repair and replace two sets of improperly working wood French doors in our hundred plus year old house. At Mizener's suggestion we dealt directly with Classic Gutters to purchase and install new storm doors to go with them. Those storms/screens cost an additional $3000.
