My garage door opener required repair. The motor worked, but the chain to lift the door didn't move. I think I may have used this company years ago for the purchase/install of a new garage door. I don't remember, but there was a sticker in my garage for this company, so I believe he installed the door. For that project, I received 3 bids from different companies and chose this one. All was good. This project was a repair of an older (15 yrs?) garage door opener. Brian, the owner was prompt and courteous. He looked at the opener, told me it needed a new part. I asked the price he said $240 and mentioned that the parts are so expensive. I agreed. He replaced the part (gear & sprocket); oiled the track; and tightened the chain. He attempted to verify the outside keypad worked, when I informed him it needed a new battery. He replaced it with a new keypad, no charge. WOW, I was so impressed. He was at my house less than 30 minutes. After he left, I googled the gear & sprocket part - the cost was less than $20 (retail). Remember he mentioned parts were so expensive; not this part. The keypad cost was about $40 (retail). In my opinion, he was misleading with his reference of high priced parts to justify his excessively high labor cost. Although I do not know the typical hourly labor cost for garage door repairs, my guess is that it's much less than $360 per hour. I guess I was an easy mark. He is a good repairman. However, due to the dishonesty, I rated the experience an F as honesty is the cornerstone of a reputable business.

It went great. He knows his stuff and was determined to clean up the wiring that was no longer needed. He arrived on time and did the job in less than a day as he said he would. He makes sure everything is running perfect before he leaves.

I called for the broken spring but he noticed the bearings were shot. Now the door is sooooo quiet and smooth. Great job!

Very good. He told me my options: one spring is better than the other and he told me how long each would be expected to last and what the cost was for each and let me decide what I wanted. I opted for the better spring since I thought it was worth the additional money. But he didn't pressure me one way or the other. Didn't take long to replace and he cleaned up everything. He greased the track too, since I hadn't done that in a long time. I would definitely call this company again.

From the very first call, Brian was punctual and professional. I called for repair when one of the large springs on my 22 year old garage door broke. Brian came within a few hours of my call. He came prepared with suggestions and printed material just in case I wanted to replace any part of the door. I elected to replace everything, door, springs, tracks and motor. Brian came back as scheduled and on time May 18th. He worked through a good part of 3 hours, tearing down and rebuilding the whole setup. After completion he explained the whole system to me. He cleaned up, taking away the old door and all the paraphernalia that came with it.

Brian is a wonderful man. He was on time, honest, knowledgeable and very personable. He provided the service as requested. I will definitely call upon Garage Door Innovators for regular maintenance and recommend Brian to my friends and family.

Typically, I get three estimates. My door wasn't completely broken, so I had a little time to research it. This wasn't a very expensive repair/replacement compared to a roof or cement driveway, so I almost stopped at my first estimate. I'm glad I didn't... The first company... Good company, looked like quality stuff, nice people too! Then I thought, what the heck I'll get another quote. Each quote I learned more. I called two other garage door companies one of which was Brian at Garage Door Innovators. He and his Co. stood head and shoulders above the other two. It's so refreshing to be treated like a "Valued Customer" again!!! What a breath of fresh air!!! I'm telling all of my neighbors and anyone who asks!! I specifically didn't list the cost because I would assume that would vary depending on your door., work etc? I'm sooo happy after reading my own review it almost sounds to good to be true, especially in today's world of customer service, right? With just a little time spent getting estimates, CLEARLY a higher quality door, and supporting hardware, along with the warranty, that adds loads of value to me!!! 2nd time I've used an Angie's list contractor and I/we use yelp too... call three providers yourself if your door isn't broken and see for yourself. (BTW, I keep miss typing "Innovation" throughout this review and having to correct myself for some reason, then I remembered ... there must be another garage door company that has a name close to this with Innovation or Innovators something similar to that I think. My wife pulled up another company and the reviews were not nearly as good as "Garage Door Innovators" so then she looked again to confirm what company she was looking at. Anyway... just be watchful what your reading if your googling or using yelp! Sort of why I like Angie's List. We all pay a few bucks for it but it's easy, helpful and mostly accurate from what I've experience so far. Good luck!

I called him at 3 pm on Saturday (after hours) at the end of a snow storm. He called back in just 5 minutes and was at my house in one half of an hour. He replaced the broken springs quickly and the garage door was fixed in 30 minutes. He explained everything he was doing and gave me prices for different options.

Professional, timely, excellent craftsmanship

Brian could tell immediately that the garage doors were in desperate need of service. He tightened and oiled the chain. The door works so much better and is much more quiet. I am so happy that I called Brian.

Highly recommend! I could not be any more pleased with Garage Door Innovators than I am and I have been recommending them to friends and neighbors since. The thing I am most impressed with is that, when they assessed our garage door lifter, which is quite old, they said that it wasn't even rated for the weight of our particularly heavy door and they were surprised it could do the job. But since it was doing the job there was no reason to change it out. They could have easily tried to sell me a better lifter. It was honestly like a new garage door when they completed their work. It had been rather rickety and loud, occasionally not opening at all, finicky in cold weather, etc. It opens and closes so smoothly and reliably, even now when I am writing this review almost a year and half later.

Brian was wonderful to work with! He immediately identified safety concerns with our old garage door opener. It had not been installed properly by the previous owner and was a major safety hazard. He not only installed a new opener but adjusted the mounting so that it is no longer a danger. Brian is very responsive, thorough, and knowledgeable. Would definitely use him again and highly recommend to others in the area!

My garage door opener suddenly stopped working. My son-in-law helped me physically life the over-sized double garage door to get the car outside. Mr. Kolarik responded quickly, replaced the faulty unit with a new, very quiet garage door opener. He was quick, polite, friendly and informative. I couldn't have asked for more. The work was done flawlessly and the product was of very high quality.

He was on time. Explained the problem and fixed it in an hour. helped with reseting of the codes and asked if I had any other questions before he left.

Brian is fabulous. Even though he is and quot;closedand quot; on Sunday nights, we called around 8pm on a Sunday night expecting to just leave message and having someone get back to us the next day. Instead Brian called us back within 30 minutes. He came the next day around 11am to help get our cars out of the garage (the spring had broken). He then provided a quote for a new door. We picked options and he returned on Thursday to install. He arrived right on time to install the door and had it done (all by himself) in 2.5 hours. We will definitely be using Garage Door innovators for any garage service we need! The only reason for the B on price is because we would always love to pay less.

We recently used Garage Door Innovators to replace our two very outdated garage doors and openers, and we were so pleased with the service we received from Brian. He was very prompt in returning phone calls and arrived on-time (actually a couple of minutes early) for the estimate. He fully explained the various options for the doors and openers, and he made sure we were aware of the advantages and disadvantages of different types of openers. He was very clear about what was included in the estimate. Brian did a great job installing everything and was timely and thorough. He also said he'd be happy to answer questions we might have down the road and encouraged us to call if we need anything. We're very happy with the doors, and we're so glad we went with Garage Door Innovators. We really enjoyed working with Brian.

Very professional. Could have easily added more than I needed, but he didn't. The end result was very professional. I love to listen to how quite and smooth the door operation is, now. I highly recommend these folks. The only downside is that they won't install the wifi connections for the hi-q openers, but it is easy to do yourself.

He was in and out. Our cables had snapped, and he replaced them.

Since it was so cold he came on a saturday to get it installed right away since the door was broken and could not open/close.

They're fine, did a great job. They came out, did an estimate, put our door, and they were done in few hours. It's quick.

The owner came out a few days after I called. He called that Saturday morning just to let me know he would be 15 minutes late, and arrived soon after. He was polite, professional, and competent, and I would call him again if I had any garage door problems.
