We went with Artur because he came out to look at what we wanted to accomplish on an older house. More importantly, Artur returned to explain what he thought the best course of action is for our situation and how the cost determined. As the other providers we requested an estimate from only provided an email estimate (all within then same range), this was the deal breaker. In regards to cost, they Bak wasn't' the cheapest, but they were not the most expensive either. Hence the follow up was key. As for the work, we are very happy at this time with the work performed on the exterior door. His team was prompt in showing up when indicated and was careful to clean up afterwards. During the process, Artur was there to manage and ask me questions about to proceed when a couple issues came up. Definitely recommend and would do business with again.

Everything turned out fantastic! Bak Brothers was professional, punctual and thorough from the start. Our consultation with Artur was very informative and the resulting proposal was well organized and documented which made out decision easy. All the workmen showed up on time and were great about communicating. Lukas, the painter was great in calling our where we might want to consider our plan due to poor porch construction by the previous owner. Norbert, the project manager was responsive and kept us in the loop. We will definitely refer Bak Brothers to all our friends and are considering using them for more projects in the future.

We used Bak Brothers for 3 projects (referenced above). First and foremost, Artur is a terrific salesman/leader of the teams. He answered all our questions, made sure we were comfortable with all the decisions that were made and always very promptly returned phone calls or text messages. The guys that did our interior work were awesome. They went above and beyond our expectations in many areas. The most noticeable area was cleanliness. It seems like every time they created dust, Ted would vacuum it. Second, their attention to detail was second to none. They made sure that all of our cabinet doors in the kitchen were perfectly in line, all the drawers and shelves were perfectly level and the knobs were installed perfectly. When it came to our bathroom remodel, Ted made sure to ask our preferences on every single detail and it turned out fantastic. The quality of the craftsmanship was top notch. Most importantly, Ted and Andy realized that we had two very small children and were aware of that in many circumstances in which they had to make a significant amount of noise that might scare our children. The window crew was extremely quick and efficient. Andy never stopped working and we had 22 new windows, new sills and new trim installed in about 3.5 days. My wife and I were completely shocked how fast that entire process went. The windows look great, the quality are great, and we could not be happier. I would recommend Bak Brothers to anyone wanting quality work for a decent price. Of course, as with any reputable contractor, it wasn?t the lowest price in the industry, but the work we got for the price was well worth the dollars spent. It was obvious Bak Brothers staff cared about our family and what they were doing to our home.

Very well. The project manager was always available to make sure everything went smoothly. I have had a lot of remodeling done with my house over the years and this was the best experience I have had. Had a few things to be corrected but that is to be expected. Had no hassles getting them fixed.

We were very much impressed with the quality of work that was done for us by Bak Brothers. Arthur thoroughly discussed the various options with us and laid out all the plans for the work. He kept in touch with us throughout the projects to verify that things were going as planned. The various members of the team worked diligently and efficiently. They were professional and courteous in their dealings with us. We are more than satisfied with the results. We would use their services again and would recommend them to friends and neighbors.

Excellent workmanship , efficiently done. Replaced drywall, taped and applied compound, primed, and cleaned up. Left the area looking better than when they arrived.

We haven’t done anything yet with them. We have a contract with them. They have a very inclusive work set up for us; they will pretty much do everything we needed done.

Ben was referred to us through a realtor. He was responsive, friendly, and never made me feel stupid for asking lots of questions as I learned all about windows! He explained things well and I felt very confident about Baks, so I hired them (out of 6 companies I looked into and received estimates from). His team was friendly and professional. They were prompt, completed the work beautifully, and cleaned up nicely afterwards. All in all, I truly felt taken care of and not taken advantage of. That goes a very long way for me and I will 100% certainly be using them again for repairs to the new house we are buying.

Overall it was pleasant dealing with Bak Brothers Remolding. I had call Bak Brothers for and estimate on Gutter replacement. They cam out in a timely manor and were very professional. I went with another company to do the job. The were priced about $500 higer then the other company.

Bak Brothers was very professional and helpful. They were not the cheapest but I feel that their quality was superior to some others we had estimates from. They were always on time, answered questions thoroughly, and cleaned up very well.

We had damage from several tree limbs that fell during a storm damaging our home and garage. Siding was ripped off the house along with roof damage. Bak Brothers did a tremendous job of repairing the damage. Ben is very professional, friendly and honest. We definitely recommend Bak Brothers to others and they will always be our first choice when needing similar work done to our home.

The crews were on time and professional and took extra care to clean up at the end of each shift. The finished product was flawless and is now admired by my neighbors and especially me. I'm a contractor by trade and need to dig deep to allow anyone else to work on my home but the scope of this project was beyond my abilities and after several quotes Bak Brothers Remodeling stood out among the rest. My garage was in sorry shape. I had a problem with rotting wood. During the process of getting estimates, Bak Brothers was the only contractor to inspect the garage roof by climbing on top of it. The others simply looked it over from the ground. The Bak Brothers did not provide me with the lowest estimate, however I chose them as I was convinced that they would do the best job. My decision was a good one as I am very satisfied with their work. Upon signing the contract they completed the work within the agreed upon time frame. They cleaned up the job site on a daily basis. An onsite manager inspected the daily work, and was available to answer my questions. Based upon my experience, I recommend Bak Brother Remodeling as a reliable contractor who does good work.

I was very pleased with how they responded. They suggested that I wait to do the work, and try something else in the meantime. They were genuinely honest with me, and I will consider to call them when I need the work work done. They were prompt, came on time, and were very professional.

The project went great overall. The time it took to finish was longer then expected but that was mostly do to the insurance part of the deal. Bak Brothers was always on top of the project and I was fine with any delay because it gave me time to make add ons that I needed to do. Such as make the right color decisions, correct roofing style and color. Because I had so many tedious things done I suggest that you work with the contractor the entire time so that you can get exactly what you want. I took my time to answer all their questions and asked equally as many so that the right decision could be made. The workers were kind enough to even set up a mock example so that I could choose from several different ways to approach my bay window design, new gutters and fascia. The Do's are ask questions, make sure you are present when important decision making sections are being done, Dont rush through the job and not be happy, know that good craftmanship takes time. If this is or is not an insurance issue, take lots of before and after pictures so that you can see the end result with pride. I took over 200 pictures and it helped me when we had to go back to the insurance company and explain any additional things that were missed during the first inspection. If you do not take pictures you can not see the job through and will not be able to get reimbursed for any additional items that the contractor might find. All in all, whether this is an insurance claim or your own personal upgrade make sure you are in close contact so that you get what you are paying for. I spent extra time to ask and answer questions and that is why i can honestly tell you that I am a 100% satisfied customer.

It went very well. They proved what I believed was the problem. The condo board refused to believe it was the roof that caused this problem for 6 years and I showed them it was the roof.

After spending week after week looking in the phone book and online for companies that specialized in roofing projects, I had a few companies come out to give me an estimate on the roof of my house and I felt they all were trying to overcharge me for just a roof tear off and replacement. I just didn't know what to do until a friend asked me if I looked on Angie's List. I told my friend, I wasn't a member -- but my brother was at one time and he really likes their service, so I decided to join. I looked up A-rated companies for Roofing and this is were I found Bak Brothers Remodeling Services. After reading their reviews I knew this was the company I wanted to do business with, so I contacted them via email and gave them information on what I needed done. My roof was over 16 years old, had two layers of roofing and was in need of a complete tear off. Once I had given them this information I realized they did not service the South Holland area. But after a few emails, to my surprise they decided to take on my project. I was very pleased they made this decision because for some reason I felt this was the best company for the job and I was so right. I met with Artur Bak whom I felt very comfortable talking to, he listen to me and gave suggestions when needed. He let me know everything that needed to be done. Then he told me what the price would be for the tear off and replacement of the roof on my house. After he gave me that price, I asked about the roof on the garage, along with the replacement of the gutters and downspouts. I was very pleased to find out that Bak Brothers was giving me everything I wanted for a little more then most places were trying to charge me for just tearing off the roof on the house Artur told me about their finance service that is provided through GE Capital for Bak Brothers customers. At the time of my sale they were offering 12 months at 0 percent, which worked out great for me because now I can get everything done. Artur was always available via email, text or phone, if I had any questions. He picked up the permit which was added to my cost, had a dump truck placed in my driveway and placed wooden boards under the dumpster so that the driveway would not get damaged. They also placed drop cloths over my evergreens that caught most of the debris that fell when they were tearing off the roof. Because the job was being done in the winter we ran into a couple of bumps with the weather. But that didn't last long. For the most part we had a pretty good winter, and they were able to complete the entire job in four to five days. The roof on my house and garage, the replacement of the gutters and downspouts all look great. They made sure everything was cleaned up around my house and if any debris fell in my neighbor's yard or driveway they made sure everything was always cleaned up at the end of the day. They were always on time and very professional. I knew that I had picked the best company for the job and they did not let me down. I like the service so much that once I pay off this project, my next project are my windows and I will be using Bak Brothers once again.

First we met with Artur Bak. We explained what we were looking to have done, and how we were having difficulties communicating with the insurance company to get a fair re-imbursement on our weather damage claim. Artur came out, looked at the house, took measurements and pictures, and went to work contacting the insurance company with his recommendations on what would be needed to repair/replace what had been damaged. He worked diligently and well with the insurance company, and got a fair claim approved. We gave Bak Brothers the go ahead to begin work. Every employee we worked with was polite, and very responsive to questions that arose as the project proceeded. They always responded quickly to any communications, and when little details popped up, and they always stopped to talk about what options were available, and what would we like them to do. Norbert, the project manager, worked well with his crew and with us also. We found everyone to be very detail orientated, and striving to do the job right. Every day when they were done working, the men cleaned up the area before they left. Originally we had 4 companies come out and give us an estimate. Bak Brothers were not the lowest bid, but we feel that by going with them, we chose the company that would do the job with the utmost of quality and integrity. That would not have happened with the lower bids. Bak's workmanship was the very best we have seen, and we looked at a lot of houses prior to signing a contract with them. We are so very glad we chose Bak Brothers to do our house and garage siding and gutter project. The house and garage look wonderful, and we are so very pleased. We rate them an A+ and would highly recommend them.

From the first time we called them for an estimate I felt incredibly at ease with Ben. His pleasant demeanor and his willingness to acomodate my schedule to meet and discuss our initial project (windows) was very much appreciated. The first project we had them do was to replace a single window in our upstairs bathroom, small job but they took it and did an AMAZING job. Personally I thought our bathroom was beyond help! After that we had them replace all of the windows in the upstairs bedrooms. This went so well and so quickly and they did not leave a speck of dirt or dust and having kids with asthma that was very important to me because they were working in the kids rooms. Next we replaced some windows on the first floor and a sliding glass door. By this time, Ben and Andy are like family to me. Not once did we go a penny over budget and the work was done promptly. Then it came time to replace the windows in our kitchen and our garage door. We were so pleased with their ethics and the quality of their work and pricing that there was never a question as to who we would call. For the garage door and kitchen windows we wanted to think a little outside of the box. We had a very tight space to work in and it seemed as though our options would be limited but after listening to me describe what my dream door and kitchen would be Ben somehow pulled the rabbit out of the hat and gave me EXACTLY what I had envisioned even though it required taking some risks! Now we come to our current project which is custom built-in cabinets and a new front door. I am absolutely blown away! These cabinets have exceeded my hopes and have transformed the entire house! The craftsmanship, the beauty, the attention to detail that I never would have thought of, all of it is just amazing. Every step of the planning process went so smoothly and I am just in awe of the work they did. I can't believe this is my house! Ben will have our business for as long as he is in business, or until our money runs out! Artur worked with us to come up with a plan that turned out great. They are really good about taking into consideration your taste as well as working with the existing home. The final product looks great and we are getting compliments all the time on it.

We had an insurance claim for hail damage to our old aluminum siding. The roof was getting near the end of its life so we decided to get that done as well. Our house had a roof line that ended at the edge of the house, no soffit at all. It is very similar to many homes in the area but we have always hated the look. We decided that while we were getting all that done we might as well get it done the way we want it. Ben and his son Artur were great to work with, very patient with us and asking a lot of questions to make sure they understood what we wanted. We must have changed the siding three or four times before we settled on the final look which is close to what Ben had suggested in the first place. We have had so many compliments on the look of our house. We couldn't be happier. We are already planning more work to have them do and have recommended them to a couple of our friends. They have done several homes in our neighborhood and everyone is happy with them.
