Super Service Award Winner in Windows, Siding, Gutters and Carpentry-Unfinished! Started in 1995, Bak Brothers, Inc. began as small exterior remodeling company. Since then, while always maintaining a "small business" mindset which puts the needs of its customers first, we have expanded both our services and service areas to meet the ever widening needs of homeowners. While focusing primarily on Siding, Roofing, Windows/Doors and InteriorRemodeling, there rarely is a job that is too small for us to approach. After spending the last 6 years in Morton Grove, we have moved to our new location in Northbrook. We are proud members of the Morton Grove Chamber of Commerce & Industry, The Better Business Bureau, GuildQuality, and maintain direct relationships with James Hardie Building Products, Beechworth Windows and other select vendors.Additionally, we offer great "Same As Cash" financing programs through our affiliations with Synchrony Financial and Greensky Finance.

Description of Work: I had Arthur come out to give me an estimate on the residing of my house. He was pleasant to deal with and I believe he understood my pricing needs. I was in the preliminary stages of obtaining quotes for the work, and let that be known from my very first contact. After our meeting at my house I have been unable to obtain my quote without him telling me I need to come into their office for it. I myself being in the service industry understand that pressuring someone to come into your office just to get a proposal doesn't keep people from feeling a pressure situation arising. On last contact from Arthur and him asking me to come in, I informed him that we are going to complete some other interior work before this exterior siding, and I asked him to just email me over the proposal so I can figure my future budget, but at that point I had no response. I sent him another message a day or two later asking him to please email me over the proposal, and again no response. From business owner to business owner it might be best to follow a potential clients request for proposal vs. Pushing them away by continuing to ask them to come in for their proposal. I was disappointed because I have heard nothing but great things about their end product.

Description of Work: Remodeled basement: framed 3 walls in one room, drywall, reinstalled existing electrical outlets, reinstall existing or new light fixtures and new wiring, replaced stained tiles, installed new baseboard, paint entire area. In addition exterior work included new downspout extension with hinges, replaced corner siding, replaced any rotted frame,exterior trim, etc... The work went very well. They did extras that I hadn't asked for and would recommend them to anyone looking for a good quality job.

Very happy overall
Description of Work: Replaced windows and patio doors, installed Hardi board siding. They documented all repairs needed with pictures before and after. This was great for hard to get to areas on second floor and roof.

Ben bak is a total gentlemen. He quickly acessed the damage and provided an estimate and promptly completeda difficult repair that a lot of others turned down. i would highly recommend.

Always on time. Here when they said they were going to be. Very respectful. Easy to get in contact with when we had questions before, during, and after the work was completed. Very honest and straight forward. Excellent work. Knew their stuff. Originally brought the wrong skylights, but rectified the situation the same day and work was not delayed. Have and will highly recommend them to others and can't wait to use them again for our next home renovation.
