Baltazar Brick & Stone installed brick pavement around my pool in fall of 2012 . In spring of 2013, I contacted the vendor and asked him to repair bricks around the pool that were fallen off around the pool And staircase leading to the pool. I asked Balatzar to fix the bricks that were not properly leveled and were constantly fallen off. I have 3 small kids and I explain the urgency of my issues. Baltazar asked me to wait couple of weeks since he was busy. It is not fall of 2013 and Baltazar Brick & Stone Still Unable to fix all stones. I still have stones that are falling off from staircase and around the pool. I have called Baltazar several times in fall 2013 and he stopped responding to my calls even though we have a written contract and warranty for all his work. I am now forced to hire someone else to fix improper installation of brick pavement around my house.

We had a large brick patio and stairs installed. I got his name from my neighbor who also had a patio installed. Well the first sample booklet he brought ended up not being the brand he sold. Then he dropped off three actual samples and we picked one and scheduled a date. They used a bobcat to dig the patio area, which was fine except for the 6 foot wide mud path this left from the front street to the back yard. He guaranteed it would be fixed ?like new.? It was not. It rained in the middle of the job and when they put the sod down it you couldn?t even walk on it without stepping through it. It was also EXTREMELY uneven with significant highs and lows. I mentioned to Baltazar and he said they would roll it out and it would be fine. It was not. To this day it is a pain to mow due to the significant highs and lows, and in many places you hit the ground with the mower blade. Walking over it is also difficult and I nearly turn an ankle everytime through. Bottom line, it?s terrible. The actual patio started out looking nice. My first thing noticed was the stairs being a large drop from the back door. It is over the code if you count the framing of the patio door, and at the code limit if measuring to the floor. I have two very young kids and it?s a big drop for them and their friends. He told me that it had to be there because of the height of the patio. Wouldn?t you first build the stairs and then build the patio at the height required? Seems like very poor planning. They also left exposed insulation under the door where the old stairs had come up higher about 2 inches. I had to fix this myself. At this point the stairs have settled and the top landing insert bricks are lower than the surrounding large stones by about 1/4 of an inch. Also the main corner stone where you exit the door has a half inch gap and is raised, making a tripping hazard, though it is admittedly slight. The second thing I noticed was that there was a low spot in the middle of the patio about 6 foot by 8 foot. I pointed it out and agreed with Baltazar that we would let it settle for a year to see how it turned out and then Baltazar would come back and fix any issues. He said his reputation was everything and there was a 5 year warrantee in the contract. The next summer it was obvious that this was a low spot (about 6x8 feet pools right off the stairs) and several others were evident, along with settling close to the house and the separation on the stairs. When I called Baltazar it took nearly two weeks but he did get back to me (he had supposedly been out of town) and said they would be in the area in a few weeks and would come over to fix the issues. They never showed up and I was never able to get a hold of him again. I have probably called 30 times. I hate to write this but they did a poor job and refused to stand behind it. Do not use them under any circumstances.
