Window PAC - Home Window Repair & Glass Replacement

The glass in a small window pane in my bathroom shattered over the winter. The owner, Michael Gandy, explained to me that there would be a minimum charge due to the small nature of the project. So he mentioned that he could also replace the ripped sealing in several of my windows for the same price. When his crew arrived, they noticed one of my window screens was ripped which they were able to replace as well. I also want to add that his crew arrived exactly on time.

Arrogant, rude owner. I called Window Pac because I needed an estimate to repair 26 windows in my home in Frankfort. Michael called me and asked a few questions about my windows. When I told him I would be getting several quotes he informed me that he “ is the best in the business with plenty of work and did not want to haggle over prices.” I was shocked because I was only calling to try to set up a time for him to look at the windows and had not even mentioned pricing- only that I was getting quotes on the work. I explained to him that I planned to pay cash and choose the contractor I felt would do the best work. He refused to set up a time to come out to provide a quote but asked me to go outside and take photos because he “ didnt want to waste my time or his.’ I texted him the photos and he texted back that he would have to replace the glass and sashes. I explained that I understood that and that was what I wanted a quote on. I asked again to set up a time for him to come look at the windows to provide a quote and he never texted back. For someone who claims to be the “best” he was the absolute worst I have spoken to. The other companies I called were happy to schedule a time to come look at our windows and to provide written quotes. F. This was a bad interaction and I would not recommend this company.

This is a long-overdue review. We hired Michal Gandy and his team to work on our windows three years ago. We had done a lot of research about replacing windows vs. refurbishing the old wooden frames we had which were showing softwood in many places and leaking air. We opted for the restoration work. We could not have been happier. The crew came on time and was very respectful of the space. They changed some glass double panes that had condensation between the panes, they scraped all the softwood and replaced with new sills, painted all the frames, and when necessary replaced springs to ensure the good functioning of the windows. With the added storm windows, we achieved better insulation for both weather and sound and we kept our wood-framed windows. Michal stayed responsive and came back this spring to seal a couple of the storm windows bottom edge which had gotten loose with time. I will hire them again without hesitation.

A pane of glass broke in our back door. After getting some really high quotes, I got a fair price from Window PAC. They communicated well and did a great job. Now that pane looks better than the original ones! Great job.

Michal and his team at Window PAC have always been great to work with. They're quick to respond to requests, show up as scheduled, explain what they are doing and finish the job in a timely fashion. I have used them for window repairs and replacements. They are capable and knowledgeable from the smallest repairs to complete home window replacements. They are my go-to company for my window needs, and I recommend them to anyone who needs their services.

Window PAC did a great job replacing one of my windows that had gotten moisture between the panes. I called them on a Monday and texted them a picture and got a quote within 5 minutes. They came out and took measurements the same day and then came back on Friday the same week and installed the new window. Fast and efficient.

We have had excellent experiences working with Window PAC. Last winter we had a cracked window and they replaced the glass. This fall we used them again to replace the glass in multiple windows where the seal had failed. On both occasions the service was excellent and they were able to complete the job on the day scheduled in a very timely manner. The cost is reasonable and Micheal is very professional. I strongly endorse Micheal and Window PAC.

I searched high and low to find a company that could replace just the glass in my window frames. I have a condo and the windows were installed into the concrete when the building was constructed. This made replacing the windows extremely expensive. When I learned I could just have the glass replaced, this was a game-changer. Found Windows PAC (FixMyHomeWindow) and Michael was great to work with. He explained his process, window thickness, protection, value and warranty, and comparisons to other manufacturers. It was very helpful, so I shared this information with my neighbors and several of us replaced our windows. Michael and his team were easy to work with, courteous and took care to maintain a clean environment. I barely knew they were here. Aside from it being amazing looking through clean windows, I've noticed an improvement in noise, and an improvement in my indoor air temp. It clearly keeps the cool air in and the hot out, which is already helping me reduce my cooling costs. Can't wait for winter for an even bigger comparison and improvement!

Most excellent. The Window PAC crew, 3 to 4 guys, were at our house a total of 9 days working 9+ hours every day. The guys were neat and clean, very professional; but, personable, too. We became quite friendly with them. Window PAC is a family business; and, their family became very cordial with us. The bottom line is that our windows now work and look like new for a fraction of what it would have cost to replace and repair via the Pella program. I'm 110% satisfied and highly recommend Window PAC services!

Michael and his team were professional and highly capable. They replaced multiple windows and fixed several broken seals. It was a large job but they managed to work efficiently and quickly, while not sacrificing quality. The windows in my house look brand new now and open and close more easily. Michael was easy to work with and was willing to make adjustments to the scope of work as he went. I would highly recommend his company for anyone looking to have window work done. The price is competitive and the workmanship is top notch.

This company did not work in my area. I am reviewing them because they were so nice and helpful in finding me a company to come out and do the work.

Very pleased. The Team was very professional, on time courteous. Can not overstate now pleased my wife and I are with both the final product and our experience working with the team.

It did not go well. They damaged the stripping on the edge of 3 of the 5 windows and put them back on as is, they would not replace. There is excessive glue visible on the outside of the windows that is always visible, but very visible when light reflects off it from the street. Finally, he promised paper work on our warranty and after numerous calls & emails and months of time has still not provided that.

An absolutely amazing experience. I was first told by Pella that ALL windows needed to be replaced for 60k! I did some research and found Michael and his crew. He came out, told me exactly what needed to be done (it was just wood replacement, NOT window), and walked me through step by step. The work was scheduled, the crew was EXTREMELY polite and efficient (and clean!), and now our windows look brand new! I would HIGHLY recommend this company, so glad I found them!

Michael and his partner worked hard and diligently, cleaned up after themselves, and finished on time. It was an excellent experience, and I would heartily recommend them for all your window repair needs.

Couldn't of asked for a better experience from start to finish. Mike Gandy was extremely responsive from my first call (and all subsequent calls/questions), worked around my schedule to provide an estimate, deliver and install the windows. They followed every rule of our HOA, finished the job exactly as planned (scope and timing) and were just an all around friendly/courteous, hard working team. The quality of the finished work is truly fantastic craftsmanship -- if you're looking for great people who do great work, this is the team for you.

Given the complexities of dealing with an HOA, they were always willing and prompt about getting us the information we needed to make our group decision. We setup a date to have the leaks fixed on the entire front side of the building, and it all came together smoothly. After the fix, Window PAC contacted us multiple times to see if the issue was fixed (usually after a rain storm). The fix was done correctly, so there were no leaks to report. They also had all the correct permits & insurance in place, and fixed the entire front-face of the building in a single day.

Need your windows repaired? Look no further. What a fantastic company. Mike is a find. He is knowledgeable, skillful, efficient, pleasant, reliable, and trustworthy. A real Master! He worked fast, and he was very careful to keep my place clean. Amazing! In addition, he found time to answer my many questions, and advised on several other issues.

Window PAC Corp. did a fantastic job. Michael Gandy was knowledgable, very professional, kind, quick, and I could go on and on! The communication I had with him was amazing, especially since the weather was not cooperating with us. His team took great care of my home while they were fixing my windows and they cleaned up before they left. Big window companies told me I had to replace my entire window, it was going to cost me a fortune and it was going to take months to get my new windows! Window PAC Corp saved me so much money and time (glass was ordered and installed in a week). Window PAC is a lifesaver! I have recommended Michael to family and friends, and I will definitely use the company in the future when my other window seals go bad!

Michael was absolutely terrific. First, he didn't try to upsell me into replacing the entire window units, he said he would be able to repair the woodwork in the frames where needed, and he did a great job of that. He recommended climateguard panes, which I was happy to switch to since several of the weathershield windows had failed multiple times (the original builder had not put in strong enough windows for the height and wind-shears on our building, and weathershield warranty doesn't allow for "upgrading" the pane type). The installation took over a week, he was considerate of our schedule, and always left the place as clean and tidy as possible each day. Access to some of the windows needed a complex track lighting system to be removed - he helped me get it down and back up again. Six months later, the windows and the repairs are holding up perfectly, and the chronic leaks we used to get around some of the frames have not returned after his woodwork repairs.

I contacted PAC when my house was on the market and I knew I would need to repair a few broken/cracked window seals. I contacted PAC and a day later, they arrived to form a quote. Once the house went under contract and was inspected, I had only 3 window seals required on the inspection report to replace. I immediately called PAC back to book the work. The owner said he really did not want to take a small job like mine. He admitted he was only interested when it was 17 windows, but he agreed to fit me in. I have tried contacting them several times since and gotten NO ANSWER or RESPONSE. He does not even have the professionalism to say he is not coming after saying he would. I am VERY disappointed in their lack of responsiveness, lack of professionalism, and blatant lying. I would never recommend them for any window work.

Michal not only did a great job, and in a very timely fashion, but despite his busy schedule he gave us prompt replies to additional questions.
