Handy Cody

Not the first time I have used this man and things have not always went smooth, equipment breakage , weather etc but he made it right in the end. That's what is important, his word is good for me. He will continue to get my business

We recently moved to Hudson, IL. Cody has taken on our house there as well. So far so good and if you need help in Hudson, it would probably help us as well. He doesn't have as many clients on the north side of Normal / Lake Bloomington which makes it hard for him to get there. Cost is reasonable, but we have had lower bids from other landscaping services.

First couple of weeks were good. On the third week they trimmed the bushes and did a good job. The following two weeks they only mowed and edged the front yard. The two weeks following no service was provided. When hired I attempted to pre-pay and was told no that they would send me a monthly bill. In the 3rd week with no service I hired a new service. The day after the new service had done the yard Cody called and I told him that due to missing the past two weeks and not taking care of the back yard for the two weeks prior to that I had hired a new crew. I told him he could bill me for the services he had provided. He apologized for the problems. If he had at least called to explain why they could not service me for 2 weeks prior to the fact and I could have told him about the back yard not being mowed this could have turned out differently.

I contacted Handy Cody by email (first) to find out if replacing an existing ceiling fan was in his wheelhouse. He replied promptly and indicated that it was. I contacted him a couple of days later and arranged an appointment for him to come by the house on 6/10/14 between 9-9:30 a.m. to see what would be involved and provide and estimate. On 6/9, I contacted him to cancel because a work meeting had come up that would prevent me from being available at that time. I called him the next day to reschedule and we agreed to meet on 6/17 between 9 and 9:30. Handy Cody never showed; he didn't even call to indicate that he was running late or would not make it. I finally called him at 9:45 and left a voice mail to explain that I could not wait any longer, that I had to get back to work and asked him to contact me to reschedule. He did not call me back. I reached out to him two additional times before writing this review. I have yet to hear from him. I will be looking for someone else to do the job and, because of this experience, won't consider him for other projects.

Cody is a great, young, hard-working man. He's willing to do anything and he's honest. It's nice to come home to see a well kept yard after a long week. I hope that Cody can get to the other projects we've discussed - right now the rain is falling at such frequent intervals that he's working tons of hours to keep up with that work.

tWas not here long. Took pictures and was only here about 5 minutes. He did, however, send an estimate right away.

Had a gutter that was out of my latters reach that appeared to be clogged. Cody was able to get to it, remove the curved piece and removed the jamming material. I thought his price for this service call was very reasonable, he did a good job, and was very easy to work with.

I contacted Cody via the message option on Angie's list and the email address on his profile on April 18. I have yet to receive a response almost a month later.

doggie doors work but spray weatherproofing doesn't look very nice fax line works but not where I wanted it and phone line doesn't work where I needed it cable line is fine He was to do other work for me but he had an injury and never called me back afterwards to do rest of stuff.

I had an appt. set up and he called at the last minute and blew me off. Never showed up for second appt.

Arrived on-time. Nice guy. Needed to subcontract with another guy for the plastering and sanding. The subcontractor did not show as promised so Cody did the work on his own, for the most part. Painting was rather sloppy. Just not a great job.

Excellent! And the price was 1/2 of what others charged.

I had an appointment with him to come do some work. He was to arrive at 9 am. He did not show up, he did not call. I called and left messages for a week and still have not received a call. I am quite disappointed. I don't know if he had a personal problem or what happened because this isn't like him. I may try to use him in the future because I really liked him and think he would do a good job.

There are HUGE trees along the back of my fenced in back yard. All of those leaves have no where to blow so they all settle in my yard. I was amazed at how neat & clean my property was when he was finished. He caulked around my entire chimney, not just the area that was worn. I could hear him chipping the ice out of my gutters & he worked on that for a long time. Cody is a very nice & professional young man. I highly recommend him & will definitely be calling him back on a regular basis. I paid him more than what his invoice was as I was very happy with his work & he worked for such a long time.

Cody was knowledgeable about the jobs I needed done and seemed to have no trouble fixing the problems. He cleaned up the gutter and patio roof debris and depostied it at the curb. I was raking leaves during the time and he jumped in and blew the leaves out of my front yard for me. I thought he was professional, polite, and did what he said he was going to do. I also thought his fee for the services was more than fair. I actually paid him more than he asked because I was very happy with his work. I will hire Cody again in the spring to help with various duties around my house and yard.

Cody never followed up on the project. I contacted him twice about it.

I called him and set up a time for him to come over to look at trees I needed trimmed. He did not show up. I called him back and got his voice mail and left one. He still has not called me back.

I left a message to schedule service, he never called me back. I ended up having to pay someone else.

Cody returned my initial phone call within 24 hours. Was out to the house for an estimate within a week and the actual work was completed within 4 days. I was glad I didn't have to be home to oversee anything. I first met Cody about a year ago removing a tree from my neighbor's yard after a storm. He and his crew got right to work, cleaned up and got on their way.

Cody is a working machine; he is neat about his work and checks to make sure he is meeting expectations.

Did not use. Called Cody to tear out a deck, but decided to do it myself.

I think he undercharges his work. His work ethic is astounding. He and an extra employee mowed my lawn, cut down a rose bush, weed whacked over grown weeds, and cut down other over grown shrubbery. They did an awesome job. I had Cody return two weeks later to mow the yard again and would hire him again when needed.

He is a college student and did a nice job. He did not charge that much but I paid him more than what he asked for.

Did an excellent job of cleaning up, putting in new plants, and added mulch. Looks great! Cody was very efficient and professional. I would definitely hire him again.
