I have had repair technicians from Chambers out to my house twice withing a couple of month to deal with a problem with a newly purchased Bosch dishwasher. I was told that Lowes uses Chambers to do their warranty work. I had two repair people from Chambers come out for two separate problems with my dishwasher. The first one told me I should change my dishwashing soap; that the government changed what could be used in dishwashing detergent and that the newer models really don't "clean" dishes but rather "santisizes" dishes. This didn't make sense to me but I changed my dish soap. Mostly I just started rinsing the dishes better which mostly solved the problem. But within a few weeks a door closing system on my dishwasher broke and I had to call them back. This time another technician came out, determined that he wold need to order a part so he left and rescheduled another appt. once the part came in. When he came in, he went to my kitchen, began to pull out the dishwasher and in the process, inadvertantly turned it on and it began to fill with water. Then he began tipping it on it's side at which time several gallons of water came pouring out on the floor. He told me to get a towel which I did! At this point, I began to suspect he didn't know much about what he was doing. Then he continued to tip the dishwasher and "hold" it with his foot while he worked on the bottom. I asked him if he wanted me to help hold and stabalize it and he gave a sort of laugh and said he does this "all the time." Well within minutes after I had left the room but could still see in there, he lost his hold of the dishwasher and it fell into my BRAND NEW CABINETS AND STOVE! Then there was a loud pop and flash from behind the dishwasher and the fuse blew. At this point, I lost my cool and asked him to stop working and leave. I had lost all confidence in his knowledge. He refused and actually told me that he was the best they had and that I should just let him finish. I continued to ask him to stop and he continued working on the dishwasher. Honestly, I've never had a more horrible experience with a repair person. Eventually, he left. Within a few days the part that he supposedly "fixed" broke again. At this point, I just decided I would use a reputable repair place (Benson's), called them and they came out, fixed the problem permanently and I paid for it. It was worth that to me not to have to deal with Chambers ever again. I would NEVER call them and I would never recommend them to anyone.
