 + -1 moreVery easy to work with and they did an excellent job. The stains were hidden with a special application and the entire ceiling was painted. I have used Barr in the past, recommend him to others and will no doubt hire them again.
Description of Work: We had spots on our ceiling due to frost having formed and melted in our attic space this past winter. It was too high for me to reach so we hired John to do the job.

Description of Work: "We hired John Barr on the enthusiastic recommendation of a close neighbor, and had a very good experience. We had gotten 6 different bids; his came in a little less than halfway between the highest and lowest. He and his crew first power-washed the house and then carefully prepared the siding by both scraping and sanding. Scraped and sanded places were primed, and then everything was painted, mostly by brush but sometimes with roller, with two coats. Mr. Barr was here every day, supervising the work and also painting along with the crew. All the painters arrived punctually, were very polite and thoughtful, worked together well, and left the work area neat and clean at the end of each day. |Mr. Barr was more than patient as we tried to decide on the best color combination, and gave us very helpful advice. We felt that he and all the painters were very professional, and very much wanted us to be happy with the result. We have received a host of compliments on our beautiful ""new"" 100-year-old house, and highly recommend Mr. Barr and his team."

 + 0 moreWe were very pleased with the results. It was a pleasure working with Mr. Barr and his crew as they listened to our questions and did what we requested. There were a couple of touch ups needed and Mr. Barr returned immediately and took care of them. We plan to use his services again in the future. Obviosly we recommend him.
Description of Work: They removed all the wallpaper from our livingroom walls and washed off all the leftover glue. They then patched and sanded as needed and painted the walls with two different colors applying two coats.They also did some staining of the window trim and some varnishing.

 + -1 moreBarr Painting appears to be a professional organization with a receptionist answering the phone and passing messages on to Mr. Barr. He returned my call within a business day and we scheduled an appointment for him to review the project within a couple days. After he visited, he sent an itemized quote for three components of the project. The quote came via email on the same day as the meeting. I responded a day later that I would like to proceed with the job, and never received a response. I called the office several times and left messages and also sent several additional emails. I never heard back from Mr. Barr, which I find very unprofessional.

 + -1 moreVery well. John is professional, as was his crew. Here when promised, prepared home appropriately before starting work, cleaned up beautifully at end of each day. Professional, polite work crew. Enjoyed having them in our home very much, PLUS they did an awesome job! (and my husband is very picky!!)
Description of Work: Painted interior 2 rooms, hallway, plus trim; repaired, patched crack in wall; repaired several places in our home that were poorly done by another painter last year.

 + -1 moreBarr painting was prompt and courteous. There was no mess afterwards. My biggest fear was any paint getting onto our woodwork, but that did not happen.
Description of Work: We had a tall entryway that needed to be painted. I did not have a ladder or scaffold large enough to handle the job so we call Barr. His team came in, quoted the job prior to doing the work and got it done quickly. The quality of paint John's team used was high quality as well. We will definitely use Barr Painting again.
