Riverton Cabinet Company

They are excellent. I had a lazy susan that broke probably due to having too much weight on it. I called them 5 years later about replacing it and they did not even charge me for it. I would highly recommend them and I would use them again.

The cost of service was included in the home price. Riverton said that their warranty was only one year so they refused to do anything, Now I will have to pay to have the cabinets refinished. This is frustrating since our old cabinets in our previous home still looked perfect after 25 years, I just want people to know that when they are purchasing these cabinets either through the company or through their builder that they will not last.

Excellent imaginative designer (Kristy). Beautiful cabinetry and install went as planned. Designer took me to a granite company and I chose my counter material. All went well. 4 years later theres a huge crashing sound in the middle of the night and I found that my under mount kitchen sink had come loose from the counter and dropped down and broke. There is a small piece of wood they used to hold it up and the too short, too wide screws split the wood and dropped the sink. Riverton wont help. Siting their one year warranty even though the faulty installation is clearly why it happened. A kitchen installation should last more than 4 years! The granite company wants to charge me $75. an hour to fix it and I lost a $1000. sink. Buyer beware.

I'm sure I drove Riverton nuts, and this was a year long project for me, but they came through! First I had all the major local cabinet companies quote and it came down to Riverton and one other. I went with Riverton because I felt they had better quality for a high-end job like mine, and they were price competitive. The salesman, a guy named John Coursey (ask for him he's really good) had some great design suggestions...some of which we implemented. My wife and I made a number of design changes and they stuck with it all the way through the process. The job was installed on time and within my budget. I'm usually the first to b**** about something but these guys did a great job.

I had an idea of what I wanted but was told it could not be done that way but I went back to Riverton as I had kitchen cabinets made before and explained what I wanted and they came up with an drawing that was exactly what I wanted. I am very happy with my new vanities and will go back to them again when I need something else

The designer worked with me until every detail was exactly as I wanted it to be. This included a few special details to accommodate the space available. Helpful suggestions along the way, such as using Marine Varnish, put a nice final touch on the work. Since this wood working was tied into getting counters and mirrors, multiple installation steps were necessary and Riverton had no problem accommodating the special planning. The final details are even nicer than I expected.

Riverton personal was very helpful and professional. The designer worked with us for several weeks until everything was exactly as I wanted my new kitchen to look like. She made many suggestions that were things that I didn't think about. We went to the showroom to pick out the wood, finish and hardware. We did a lot of the prep work in the kitchen our self and the were wonderful in working with our timeline. We did have installers put them in and they said that they have never installed such well made cabinets. I could not be more satisfied with the work that they did.

We used them for all our cabinetry in our new construction house in 2007 (not our choice) because it was the builders contractor. Most contact was through a "salesman" who was excellent!! He helped us along the journey of designing our new kitchen and providing many nice layouts and keeping in contact with us along the way. (That's the only good thing I can say). The cabinets were installed and looked great. Although what I didn't know is that the products they use are sooo cheap!!! Its too bad they skimp out on the protective coating on their cabinets! Within the first year I had to have them out because all the lacquer and stain was coming off the fronts of the cabinets. (FYI- we are gentle on our cabinets-our cabinets in our old house help up 25 years and looked great when we moved-too bad we didn't know who made those!) During this visit they were doing some touch up, but without my knowledge started spraying lacquer in my house, which turned out bad for my birds- one end up having seizures after this incidence. Two years after that my cabinets were in such poor condition I returned to their store to find out what they were going to do about this. Surprisingly (NOT!) there happened to be another women in the store complaining about the same thing as I stood there. They end up disregarding her concerns. I was not going to settle for the same treatment, so after she left I made certain that they were going to address my concerns. They did return to remove the worst door fronts and have them re-done. Since then, the "soft-close" drawers no longer work. And most recently a drawer fell into the cabinet underneath. Come to find out that the cheap piece of plastic that they used was held into the back with only one tiny screw, although it looked like they made multiple holes into the back on installation. The interaction was good. They had a lot of choices to offer. We ended up going with someone else that was a little bit more in price because the craftsmanship of the cabinets didn't seem to be as good as another person.

This is an update to an earlier report, regarding a home remodeling project. Although we were very pleased with the vanities in the beginning, we found that the quality of the interior of the cabinets to be inferior. The interior portion of the cabinets is constructed of particleboard with a paper-thin overlay. We found the combination of water and this material do not fare well. The outcome of a plumbing leak and the particleboard construction left us with the overlay peeling and an uneven surface. We were supplied with an insert to put over, but it sits about 1/4 inch high and simply will not work.
