 + -1 moreDB has been unresponsive since March trying to correct a mistake they made grading our yard. Now every time it rains we get a massive puddle in the backyard because of a high spot they refuse to come repair. They agree it needs to be done, but didn't show up 3 times it was scheduled and now are mostly unresponsive! Beware, if things don't go right they don't seem to want to fix their mistakes. Even reached out to Court Schild over a week ago with no results. The gutter drains were routed incorrectly leading to water coming over our foundation into the basement of our brand new home. When DB didn't show up we were forced to have another company fix the issue so that we did not continue to get water due to poor grading and gutter drain routing. Hopefully DB steps up and corrects the remaining issues, I will update the review when that happens.

Description of Work: After a strong recommendation from a friend of a friend, I contacted them for an estimate. After coming out for the estimate, I heard nothing for 4 weeks. I called and asked for the estimate and when it came, some of the things I asked to be included were omitted and some things I had clearly stated I wanted included were changed. A complete waste of my time. As my father-in-law used to say, "I don't have to kiss and pay too."

Description of Work: We were bidding out a job to re-landscape the entire yard at our home in Orland Park. The plant choices were the most unique and interesting of all quotes. Our home would not have looked like every other house in the area. We didn't go with the quote as we moved.

 + -1 moreGreat! From beginning to end, my experience was positive and painless. Tina responded to my e-mail inquiry the very next day and was on my property to evaluate on the first day that I was available. It was a dreary and damp April day but she really listened to me and drew up a plan that met all my specifications. Waiting for 2 to 3 more estimates took awhile since vendors were slow to respond. I got back to Dutch Barn in May and planting took place about a month later. I worked that day and came home to a beautiful, BHG worthy backyard; exceeded my expectations by far in every way.
Description of Work: Evaluated property and drew up landscaping plan. Installed 3 lilac bushes, 2 large witch hazels, 5 hydrangeas, 6 viburnum, 6 iteas, wild grass, 19 perennials, and 6 large flagstone entryway pavers. Planting areas included large area in backyard along fences and around tree with wooden swing.

 + -1 moreTHEIR PRICE IS EXPENSIVE BUT THEIR WORK IS OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY. THEY GUARANTEE THE TREES, SHRUBS, AND FLOWERS FOR TWO YEARS. THEY PUT A SIGN IN MY YARD AND BECAUSE OF THAT I GET DISCOUNTS. THEY DO A WONDERFUL JOB.
