The house itself looks good. Dave did as he said and came out to touch up spots that had been missed and was nice to work with during the job and before full payment was made. So immediately after the job was finished everything looked great. Then a few months passed and the paint started peeling up on the deck. We had worried that they had painted when the deck was too wet - we had a very rainy stretch last summer. When we contacted Dave, however, he said it was because of our dogs. Though we didn’t have that problem with the original paint job when we first moved into the house. As the months wore on, the paint started peeling up all over (in places the dogs never touched). Oddly enough, the original paint underneath remained unscathed. And the paint started bubbling up on the front porch - the dogs never go there at all. And...it’s bubbling up on the railing - the dogs definitely don’t walk on the deck railing! Multiple attempts to contact Dave have failed and he won’t return emails. We now either have to repaint our entire deck, railing and front porch ourselves (which is going to cost thousands of dollars in paint and labor) or do it ourselves (still probably a large chunk of money for paint and be a hue time commitment). We are praying nothing starts to peel on the house itself - so far it looks good, but the deck and front porch look worse than before we painted them. I wish I could post pictures here - it’s like the paint is disintegrating. I feel like I just threw a very large sum of money out the window and now I have a worse problem on my hand that I have to deal with (scraping up all of the peeling paint in order to redo the paint job).

Hi [Member Name Removed], I'm very surprised by your review. A couple of weeks after completion I emailed you the invoice. Our work included redoing your deck at no added charge after your neighbor mistakenly let your dogs run over the frreshly stained deck floor and steps. The last email you sent me was a reply to the invoice -here is your reply On Thu, Sep 19, 2019 at 3:[Member Information Removed] PM, you wrote: Also - the house does look great and your guys were really nice to work with. :) [Member Name Removed] Sent from my iPhone That's the last email you sent to us. You have a multi-year warranty that covers anything we did wrong. We're just as nice in taking care of a problem as we are when doing the original job. I'll email you now. Thanks, Dave P.S. I know you had immediately considered changing the color of your deck after it was done because you felt that white was not practical and the falling leaves were staining it so it looked dirty. I gave you a price to redo the deck and steps and you chose to stick with the color you had chosen. Changing it to a darker color is always an option.

Your Painters were incredibly awesome. Dave came out and provided a quote for the few rooms we wanted painted. Closer to the time of our actual work, we decided to add some rooms, as well as adding trim and rails, going from oak to white with dark stain on top. Dave made the changes happen and kept us on schedule. The crew did an amazing, speedy, and thorough job. Every day, they showed up, covered any furniture, put down drop cloths, and did set-up, then tore it down at the end of the day, so our home was completely protected from paint splatter. Even if they hadn't, I doubt there'd have been a drop of paint anywhere. I'm so impressed with their ability to paint clean lines without splattering, a skill I personally do not possess. Now when we walk into our house, it doesn't even look like the same house! I'm so appreciative to Dave and his team. Angie's List asks "would you hire again", and I can answer that by saying "We already did, to paint a deck". Thanks Dave & Team!

We were very pleased with the paint job on the exterior of our home. We received two estimates for the work. One from a college painting company and one from Your Painters. The price quote was significantly less from Your Painters. They did the work as promised and included two coats. When they finished the job, we asked them to come back and hit a few missed spots. They came back and hit these spots quickly with no push back. Overall, we got a quality paint job at a fair price. Also, based on my experience with the company, they will make sure that you're fully satisfied with the work before declaring the job done and asking for payment.

I have been very remiss in not commenting on this great company until now. On June 28 & 29, they painted 2 bedrooms, master bath and all trim throughout my condo. Prior to the actual work, it was a real pleasure working with Dave to get a quote, explain the process and answer my questions. The four gentlemen that actually did the work were wonderful. They were polite, pleasant, neat and efficient. The final product was beautiful and I love the job they did. I was so pleased with the company and their work that I’ve retained them for some cabinet refinishing toward the end of August. A big thank you for a job well done and a very pleasant experience. Highly recommend!

I want to share the experience I had with this painting contractor. My overall recommendation to someone that does not have time to read my experience below would be to never hire this contractor for any residential interior painting project. The scope of work was painting the walls of an 1100 sq. ft. furnished condo a single color. (Kitchen, Living Room, Master Bedroom, Guest Bedroom, two baths, closets not included) The guest bathroom ceiling was also to be painted. One kitchen corner had water damage and needed wall repair. One master bedroom had minor water damage and needed wall repair. The utility closet required the wall behind the HVAC unit to be painted since it was flaking due to moisture. I was planning on changing the carpet to laminate in both bedrooms after the painting was completed. For this reason, I removed the baseboards prior to the painting taking place. I also anticipated allowing the contractor to no have to use drop cloths in the bedrooms and making the rooms easier to paint. I had purchased this condo a year and a half ago. I did not place many items on the walls in anticipation of having to paint the walls. I requested an estimate for the work from this contractor and had someone come to my condo to prepare an estimate. I went over the above scope. Notes were taken during the visit and I was recommended what type of paint (low sheen) and the amount of paint (7 gallons) to purchase. I was told the job would take two days. The first day, one person would come to do wall repair. The second day, a crew of painters would come to paint two coats of the specified paint. I was told I would receive an estimate with verbage to describe typical job requirements (spackle, sanding, using drop cloths, responsible for moving furniture, removing/reinstalling wall plates, cleaning up, etc.) and the outlined scope above. I was also told that I would be sent an invoice a week after the job was completed for the agreed price. If I did not like any minor items, I can have them reworked. I never received a physical estimate outlining the above conditions. I only received an email with the notes for each room and a price. Essentially, the scope outlined above and the price. The price was reasonable to low based on my research and I decided to let the contractor know I am interested to continue. I was given dates for the two days the job would take place. I agreed and purchased the recommended paint. I also decided to be present during the painting. Prior to the painting days, I decided to remove all wall mounted items and move furniture to the middle of each room to allow more time for the wall repair/painting. The first day, one person came for a full day to repair the water damage in the two corners and prepare the utility room to be painted. There was no drywall replacement required in both corners. The damage was repaired with spackling alone. The wall repair work took the majority of the day as the person bounced between rooms doing spackling. Every room had plenty of wall imperfections such as damaged corners, scrapes, old paint blotches, embedded screw anchors, nail holes, etc. By the end of the day, the two corners were completely formed with spackle and various wall imperfections were addressed in all the rooms. I asked the person if the place was ready to be painted as I had noticed a lot of wall imperfections that were not addressed. I was told it was and the crew was coming tomorrow. I asked when the imperfections I still see would be fixed. I was told to put up tape on imperfections I saw. As soon as this person left, I began to do this. I was up to 10+ pieces of tape per room and decided to not put tape on imperfections in proximity of other imperfections. I began to be a little skeptical of what to expected the next day. The next day, six people showed up in the morning. One of the people was the person that performed the wall repairs the previous day. I told him to address the wall imperfections I had marked. The rest of the crew began to tape the basebaords in the condo, cover furniture with plastic, and started sanding. Witihin thirty minutes, one of the workers had to leave to go to another job. From the phone coversation, he told the other workers he was going to take care of an emergency. I could tell he was going to another job to address complaints. Approximately half of the wall imperfections I had marked were addressed and the crew removed some of the tape when it was time to start painting. Most importantly, a couple of corners that had been damaged were not fully repaired. A lot of imperfections were left untouched since they were not all marked. The few people sanding pointed out a minor amount of locations where spackling was needed. I also instructed the people sanding that sanding was required in places where there were imperfections but no spackle was done. The painting needed to begin in order for the crew to finish that day. The responsibilities of the workers were as follows: one person for spackle/wall repair, one person for sanding/overall wall area painting with a roller, two edge painters/cutters (one was also responsible for being the handyman), and one edge painter/fill (apprentice). I do not want to go into details of the work as it happened since I was indifferent to the skill/effort considering the price. As the end of the day was approaching, the crew began cleaning and finishing up. No one from the crew approached me to have a walkthrough the condo to identify issues. I began to point out problem areas to those workers who seemed to be free towards the end. As the clock struck 4:30pm, the crew was out the door. Below I will describe the shortcoming of the work. The main disappointment was the existing wall imperfections that were not addressed. Additionally, further wall imperfections were created from the paint job. (paint drops, paint blotches, paint chips, multiple areas where a spot was missed with the second coat, and even a paint brush mark on the white ceiling in one of the bathroom) I had to wipe off some dripping paint and add additional paint to multiple places in the master bedroom/bathrooms where the previous paint color could still be seen. Aside from paint imperfections, the utility closet folding door was not adjusted to be able to be closed properly. A light fixture in the bathroom had its glass cover broken. After the crew departed, multiple wall outlet plates were not reinstalled as they were placed/forgotten in various drawers. The master bedroom folding closet door was not installed and left in the closet. After installing it myself, I had to also readjusted it so it did not scrape off the new paint. I was also left with two unopened non-returnable gallons of paint. (Approximately $50) Remembering that the invoice would come later, I began to wait. Two weeks later, the invoice came through email. I emailed back that I would like the person that gave me the estimate to come to my condo and see the work. I was able to show the work to this person. Every room had items that needed to be addressed. I was told since the paint used was low sheen, the walls with imperfections would need to be fixed and repainted fully since the problem areas could not be addressed locally. I was given the option to have one person come over for a day to address the issues and repaint some of the walls. Payment was also requested which I said I would mail a check. I later emailed asking if it was possible to reduce the invoice by the labor cost of the proposed repair. If not, I would just pay the invoice and not address the issues using this contractor. I was able to receive a $175 reduction in the invoice amount. This was a great learning experience in dealing with a local contractor. I see there are many things I could have done to prevent the situation I was in. However, I expected a professional paint job for the price I paid. In reality, the work was underestimated. If someone is considering hiring this contractor, please do not make the same mistakes I made. Again, I would never recommend hiring this contractor for interior residential painting.

They did great repair and painting. Drywall sanding is a dusty job. Could have done a little better in clean up from that. I had many interior rooms painted including ceilings, Master bed & bath, hallway, dining room and basement. They also repainted the trim, cabinets, and doors in the basement. Dave helped with color recommendations as we were getting it ready to put on the market. Next time I will use a different sheen and ask for two coats. I plan on using them to paint the home I'm moving into.

Our experience with Your Painters has been absolutely wonderful. Our lead painter Harry was so kind, informative and knowledgeable. He took the time to get to know our wants and needs and was truly professional from start to finish. Each morning Harry and his crew arrived on time or early and worked hard everyday. Besides the excellent customer service, the paint job looked fantastic. And may I add, this was NO easy paint job! The house was a doozy it had vaulted ceilings, dark colors, mustards colors, sponge paint and metallic paint everywhere. The guys had their work cut out for them, and they still KILLED IT (ahead of schedule I might add!). We loved the work that they did so much upstairs, that we begged them to extend their stay and hired them for additional time to finish the rest of the house downstairs! ) Thanks to Your Painters for transforming our home. We couldn't be happier and will highly recommend them in the future!

Terrible the company no called, no showed for the job.
Description of Work: Called and spoke to Dave about having my interior ceiling painted. Dave seemed nice enough and even viewed my house listing online to see the dimensions of the room. He stated it would take two guys and 2-3 gallons of paint. He then provided me a quote over the phone and scheduled the service. Two painters were to come 12/22/17 @ 8:30AM. I took the day off work for the service. Your Painters Inc. no called, no showed for the job. At 9:30AM on 12/22/17, I called the company and left and voicemail inquiriing when they would arrive and still they never have called back. Maybe something came up, or even possibly they over booked, but not to call me back or even try to reschedule is very unprofessional. I gave them a few days after the holidays to return my call before posting this review. I was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, still no response. Hopefully this review will force him to respond. I have the call history on my phone to prove dates and times of all of the calls.

We were in need for a knight in shining armor for a different company that left us high and dry on Day 1 of a job that had a very tight deadline!! Dave and Your Painters came in and saved the day in more ways than one! They were beyond helpful and even came back to assist on other tasks that were not related to the painting which just goes to show how much they care about customer satisfaction!! I would rate them a 10 OUT OF 10, A+, AMAZING!! For the money, service, craftsmanship, clean up & professionalism, I was beyond impressed in any way!! HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
Description of Work: We were looking for a painting company to complete work on a 3 story townhome: all walls & trim, front door, power washing of exterior deck, and also the painting of the kitchen cabinets from natural wood grain to white!! This was a very large job and Your Painters made the entire process effortless and stress free!! If you are reading this review then you have never heard of those words uttered in the same sentence as the words “painting company,” but I assure you that this is 100% true and accurate!!
