Great. Very professional.

After collecting quite a few estimates from various companies, we decided to use Showalter. Their estimate came out about the middle in terms of pricing, but their quality, punctuality and professionalism exceeded our expectations. In particular, Luis, was so willing to answer all of our questions on several occasions. We were amazed at his crew being able to complete the entire project in one day. We left for work and came home, and you would not even know they were there - except for the our beautiful roof!

They were very good and professional, but we can?t afford to get roofing work done right now because I am going to sue the people who did my roof since they messed up my roof. They were very nice. They showed up on time. They use really good materials. They came out and saw what the other guys had done. It was nice and I think they offer a warranty with the roof which the other guys didn?t offer. Their presentation was wonderful. I would definitely tell others to use them. They were actually 2 minutes early for the estimate.

They were great. We are property manage firms and we use them a lot for a lot of the properties that are damaged. We use them a lot for different building to do patch work and stuff like that and they do great work. They are reasonably priced and very professional. We would recommend them to others.

Everything was PERFECT. I know roofs and I'm not easily impressed. GAF/ELK LIST SHOWALTER AS A MASTER INSTALLER. In case you don't know, GAF/ELK are regarded as the best singles in the industry. They only sell their product to professional installers. The warranties are the best in the business and you can bet that they will be around to honor them because they are the largest manuf. They also have the Good Housekeeping seal. I checked around and Showalter has an excellent reputation. In fact, commercial roofing companies recommend them for residential jobs. Moreover, they are a member of the BBB and highly rated. So, Sholwater is regarded as the best of the best yet surprisingly affordable. We had two other bids from highly rated installers that were significantly higher when you added in all the options. Showalter included all of the options in their base price. That gave me a higher level of confidence in them. We telephoned and they assigned an estimator to perform a free inspection. After the detailed inspection, the estimator provided brochures for their products and even photographs of the roof for the proposal. This is a nice touch for those that don't want to go up on their roof. The proposal provided several options based on the type of shingle we selected. We choose the top of the line LIFETIME HIGH DEFINITION Shingle. They are wind rated up to 130MPH. The premium ridge cap shingles adds just the right finishing touch. Lifetime transferable warranty. The price for the best was not much more. The labor is where most of the cost is. Why not go with the best material? Note, neighbors paid 15% more and didn't get the same quality shingle. The roof was replaced in a single day. No harm to our extensive landscaping ! They used trucks instead of a large dumpster to prevent damage to our drive. Clean up was completed and reinspected. The installers were polite and asked several times how we liked the progress. They obviously take great pride in their work. Several neighbors have commented on the beauty of the roof. It is impressive; clearly a step up from the normal architectural single. Again, FOR LESS MONEY !! Some advice: DO NOT allow a roof over. A complete tear off is the only way to make sure you have a roof that will be free from leaks. New codes require installation of ice and water shield for a reason. You want the better felt that prevents telegraphing of wrinkles across the roof. Go look at some roofs and you will see what I mean. Next, go with the ridge vents as they are the best. Adequate ventilation is the best way to prolong the life of your roof. An attic van isn't really necessary. Make sure the soffit vents are clear so cooler air can enter the roof space. Make sure they plan to use starter strips, you won't believe how many contractors try not to use these. OR JUST CALL SHOWALTER because all of the above is included.

I took 3 bids for the job and they were by far the most informative and professional. When they came out they put large screens to protect all of the windows as they went around with a metal vaccuum cleaner. I only found 2 nails after they left. I've had a new roof put on in the past and the clean up was not near as good as what Showalter did. They were extremely diligent about clean us. I have a large valley in the roof between the house and the garage and they went to a lot of extra effort to help prevent leaks in that area and explain what they were doing. They also gave me references for an independent contractor for some other work I needed done in the attic. Everyone left the area they were working in cleaner than when they got there. They were very much perfectionists in their work. They also rerouted downspouts to keep the water away from the basement.
