The floors in our house looked like a basketball court and Adrian and his crew sanded them and stained them a lovely chocolate color to make them look more natural. They were fast, clean and courteous. The end result is beautiful! Adrian is very responsive, stayed within budget and completed the job sooner than planned. We will recommend them to our friends and if we ever have a need again, we will use there services!!

Adrian and his team did a great and thorough job with the floors in my condo. The floors had been pretty well worn by the previous owners and now they look fantastic. They went above and beyond to meet my short schedule, even when I changed the scope slightly to include the quarter rounds and even came back to move the kitchen island back into place after the floors were dry. Adrian was really patient and helpful with my question and gave me clear direction about how to clean and maintain my floors as they were curing and beyond.

Adrian was fantastic from the beginning!! He was incredibly communicative and prompt. He arrived when he scheduled a consult and made every effort to accommodate our schedules. Knowing we were on a tight timeframe with purchasing our first home and needing to have the floors refinished before moving in, he started work at 7am the following morning after providing a quote the evening before! He came at 4am several mornings to finish the project and did and incredible job!! His work was impeccable, priced competitively and he was very thorough. He is obviously a craftsman who cares about his work! He's also just an honest guy. My husband left his wallet at the house one night (we weren't yet living there) and Adrian told us he found it on the kedge and stuck it in a good hiding spot in the kitchen. He was truly a pleasure to work with and we will for sure call him back if we decide to do our kitchen floors!!

I obtained several quotes from this and other highly rated companies. M Craft's came in the mid-range. After speaking to Adrian, the business owner, and hearing him discuss the varieties of Northern Red Oak, identify they type of wood and cut I was trying to match, and describe how he would go about the work, I had the positive feeling that he was a knowledgeable, honest, and reliable, individual, and that he would be detail-oriented, as well. The work was carried out in a very clean and neat manner. A plastic sheet wall was set up, and dust containment equipment was used. Adrian's vast arsenal of tools, as well as his fine vehicle, looked clean and well maintained. Low odor products were used. Cleanup was conducted at the end of each day, and all materials and equipment were neatly stacked, and out of the way, while they were gone. During the project, Adrian always kept me informed of when he would be arriving, and leaving. The work was done mostly by him and his sons; and they always showed up on time, displaying a good disposition, and conducted themselves in a respectful and professional manner. Adrian was careful to follow the many rules of my condo association, and even went above and beyond the call of duty in making all the staff in my building also feel respected and appreciated for their assistance. Adrian had a good sense of aesthetics and a keen eye for detail. His input helped me chose a floor stain and baseboard trim I was truly happy with. And he paid special close attention to details that were important to me, such as threshold transitions --between marble and wood, and carpet and wood. He created radial edges where baseboards met door casings, expertly mitered, coped, and spliced baseboards; and he carefully cropped the bottoms of metal door frames and casings, so that they would appear to stand over the new floor, as I requested, rather having the new floor pared around them. He also shared tips on follow-up floor maintenance, and post-installation finishing of my new baseboards. My new floors look truly fantastic! The stain color Adrian suggested brings out the vibrancy of the wood grain, and it indeed brightens up the entire room, as he predicted. Aside from the high quality of his craftsmanship, I appreciate that he was man of his word, honoring everything he promised till the very end, and responding promptly when the need arose. It was a pleasure to work with Adrian, and his two very fine sons. I will definitely hire him again in the future!

It went excellently. They were terrific, they showed up on time. They had amazing eqipment. They were clean and left no dust like we thought there may be. They did a beautiful job. They showed us a sample of color to choose from and came back within the next couple days and put another coat on along with 4 coats of polyurethane. They were great to work with. I highly recommend this company.

Adrian was great. I was in a time crunch, and he came right away to give an estimate, and was able to work with my schedule to get the work done, unlike the others I contacted for estimates. His pricing was very competitive. He was on-time every day, kept me updated regularly on the progress, and went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. I was! The floors are beautiful, they match my existing woodwork perfectly, plus he is just a really nice guy. I would not hesitate to use him again. Truly a pleasure.

Adrian was great. He came out and gave us a quote in person the day after we called him, and a week later he and his crew were at our place to do the job. They sanded and refinished our first floor area with 3 coats of high quality product in 2 days, and were willing to do it on a Friday and Saturday since my husband and I were heading out of town and couldn't be there during the week. Very responsive, good quality work, and fair price. We would recommend Adrian and would use him again for future floor projects.

Adrian was amazing! He was prompt and professional. He was able to come give me a very reasonable quote in half the time it took other companies to call me back. Adrian and his crew refinished some very damaged floors in an old condo. He was very knowledgeable and helped me make the right aesthetic choice. When I saw the finished product I was floored (pun intended!) The floors looked brand new! He even replaced a board that was beyond repair. I would recommend Adrian without a second thought.

Adrian came to look at the job so he could give us a proposal. I knew very little about flooring and it was clear he knew what he understood wood flooring. Our concern was soundproofing the floor for our neighbors in the building. The floor upstairs was concrete and the stairs just basic wood. He took time to help me understand what needed to be done for the best result. The biggest reason we chose him, is it was very clear this company truly are craftsmen. This is not a prefab floor, but one of very high quality. Each day they arrived on time and worked almost non stop for the entire day. The work ethic and professionalism of the entire team was outstanding. They put extra effort in to get my floor completed in time for a visit from our family that is coming up. We have two cats and they always gave me time to put them up when they were about to work on the stain and finish. Both of us noticed the attention to detail. They trimmed our doors to fit, and left a spotless home when they left! Our floor is stunning. In future, we will only use this company because of the quality of their work. My husband and I are thrilled with the new floors!

First off, let me tell you I am pretty picky and can be hard to please. My husband says I expect a lot out of contractors who aren't always wired to respond via email and text messages as quickly as I would like them to. So when I say I like someone, that is hard won. That being said, I can't say enough positive things about Adrian. I've been working with a lot of tradesmen recently and he has far and away been the best, most professional, most awesome of any of them. I wish I had more floors to do he was THAT good. I found Adrian by looking on Angie's List and noticed he had a lot of positive reviews. I figured that since I had a rush job that there was probably no way that I would be able to get him to come out, that he was probably booked, or didn't work in my area. I gave him a call anyway. I left a message and had a call back within the hour. Adrian was at a job site, but willing to stop by my home on his way home after normal working hours. SAME DAY. We met, he was great in person, explained what was going on with the current finish on my floors, measured and gave me an estimate ON THE SPOT. Unheard of! He told me he would get me an official bid via email in a couple of days along with an estimate of when he could get started if I decided to go with him. He followed up when he said he would and I waited over 4 days to contact him back while I waited for other contractors who to get back tome about other parts of the job. I gave Adrian a call and left him a voice mail letting him know that I would like to go with him, and he called back within the hour. He let me know that he was booked for the time I wanted to have the floors done, but wanted to know if he could come and do the job in 2 days. TWO DAYS! I was floored and so excited to get the job done sooner that I expected! Because I am working downtown and my home is in the suburbs I can't get there to let people in to work or check in on the jobs. Adrain was a fantastic communicator, calling me to let me know what was going on and when I would need to approve things like stain choices. He even texted me progress photos, and I was able to make color decisions on the spot vs having to run home to look because he sent me photos. He went above and beyond, working late, working the weekend, and even coming by on a Sunday evening to bring me some floor protectors so the other trades don't mar the floors while they work. Once the rest of my reno is done he's coming back to do a final buff and final coat of sealer. Another great thing about Adrian and his crew is that the other trades I have at my house can't say enough about him either. He was easy for them to work with as they worked around each other in my home. If you are looking for a floor guy, Adrian is your man, all the way!

I love our new floors! I chose to work with Adrian, and am glad I did for several reasons: 1. He was prompt with his response and really easy to work with. He called me within an hour of my initial email inquiry, came out to give me a quote the next morning and we scheduled the work for the following week. 2. He worked with me on the price. I got quotes from about 5 other companies. Only one came in lower than Adrian, and he met their price. He also gave me options of different types of finishes and told me how those would impact the price. I felt like I knew what I was paying for, and got my monies worth. 3. He was really polite and considerate with our home and belongings. Everyone on his team made sure that they protected our current floors, and carefully moved our furniture (including refrigerator and stove) out of the way to store it while the work was being done. I felt as though we were being taken care of. 4. He was a great communicator. We emailed and texted, and talked each morning and evening. He gave us careful instructions on how best to care for the floors after he left. 5. We live in an old house and our floors are pretty slanty. We needed to match the level of the kitchen with the new dining room flooring (we previously knocked down a wall to connect the two spaces). Some of the other companies told us we would need an elevated slab to make it work (which we did NOT want). Adrian said he would need to see the sub-floor and would see what he could do. He worked some sort of magic, as our floors are not nearly as slanty, and they look great. Overall, as you can tell, we are very pleased with our decision to go with Adrian, and I would highly recommend him for your flooring needs.

Adrian and his team had already stained our floors, so it was just a matter of using the same color stain we had originally selected to completed the look. Staining stairs, handrails and newel posts are more tedious and require more time, but Adrian was able to get the job completed for our move in date. We had a painter come in afterwards to paint the balusters and rise of each step.

The floors in our home are relatively new (9 years since installation) but they had been abused by our kids and dog, and so it was time for a refresh. We always use Angie's list so found 3 companies with good reviews to provide quotes. From the outset it was clear that Adrian was a real professional. He was always prompt in replying to us to set up our initial meeting and when he came to inspect the floors and provide the quote, he spent extra time with us explaining the job in detail. There were several complications that he talked us through. We were planning on changing the color of the stain on both floors and also two sets of stairs, so the extent of the job and some of the details were important to get right. We were also planning on staying in the house during the work. Adrian talked us through every aspect and gave us recommendations on the types of finish to use. He was very knowledgeable and thorough in his approach. His quote was detailed and was competitive with the other companies that we called. Once we had hired him, we asked him to come and put several example stains down on the floor so we could decide on a color. Again Adrian was very accommodating to our schedule. He helped us think about what colors would work in our house with the existing cabinetry. Once the work started he was always on time. He moved the big furniture for us and was always extremely careful and diligent. Although it was a big job, he was on time with everything. He started early each morning and finished late but was always respectful of our schedules. He was also communicative and every morning would give a report of where he was with the project. He is a hard worker and went the extra mile to make us happy. The finished floors are outstanding and the whole process went like clockwork. If you want a real professional who knows his stuff and will not mess you around, hire Adrian.

We began our journey of trying to find a contractor to refinish our oak floors by contacting several contractors that were recommended to us by our friends. The first one we contacted could not meet our schedule. We left several voicemails with the second contractor and ultimately gave up about a week later after not receiving a return call. At that point we decided to sign up on Angie?s List to find a contractor. We reached out to three contractors, including M Craft, for an estimate to do the work. We ultimately chose M Craft to do the work and what sold us was not just the price but how responsive and professional Adrian was. We could tell from the first visit he was a trustworthy person that truly cares about his craft ? we were sold! I have to say our instincts were correct! Our floors turned out fantastic! We chose golden oak stain with the Bona Traffic HD in the satin finish. Adrian worked with us on selecting the stain color by applying a handful of different stain colors directly on the floor so we could make our final selection. The sanding process was a much cleaner operation than I thought would be! Adrian used the latest dustless system that really kept the house clean! From beginning to end, the project went without a hitch. Adrian?s experience and craftsmanship really shows in the final product! We highly recommend Adrian to anyone looking to have their floors refinished you won?t be disappointed. Adrian is a hard working, honest, and detail oriented person that we plan on recommending to all of our friends and family!

The owner of the company responded quickly to my initial phone call requesting a quote. He came to my house for the quote to accommodate my schedule. I also appreciated that the quote was itemized thoroughly. The quote included everything. (No hidden costs). The owner of the company does the work himself because he has a high standard for quality. He explained everything completely and even worked through a holiday weekend to finish. Floors are so beautiful I don't want to walk on them.

Fantastic! I contacted Adrian from M Craft in September to resurface my kitchen hardwood floor. He promptly came out for an quote. He was very professional and answered all of my questions. He was very knowledgeable in his trade and pointed several details out that I would have glanced over. There were several delays with other contractors and city inspectors that forced me to switch the schedule around on Adrian several times. He was extremely accommodating and was able to work around my schedule. The M Craft crew arrived promptly on the day that they started work. They took great care to minimize the impact of their work on the rest of the house. They sanded the original surface coat off of the floors, patched holes and gaps, and pointed out some deep seated stains in the 50+ year old wood. By the end of day one they had two coats of the new protective coat on the floor, cleaned up any remaining gear, and told me they would be back the next day to finish the job. Day two started with them arriving punctually and they went right to work. In a few hours they had the final coat laid to a glassy shine and gave me advice on care and maintenance of the new floor. IT LOOKS AMAZING!!! They brought an old beat up floor back to life. I highly recommend Adrian if you need work done on your floors. He was very courteous and professional with an exacting attention to detail that is increasingly rare to find in certain trades.

It was definitely a terrific and pleasurable experience from start to finish hiring Adrian to do my hardwood floors. Before hiring him, I called over 4 other contractors to interview and get quotes, and 3 of the contractors were way overpriced, and the other one was very unprofessional. I was getting ready to give up (delay) installing hardwood floors until I decided to try one last time calling a contractor, and luckily enough, I called Adrian. The first thing I can say is that Adrian was very responsive on the phone, and when he scheduled a time to come over to take a look and give me a quote, he ended up coming on time. And right off the start, not only was he very professional, but also you can tell right away that he's a good guy that you can trust. His primary focus was not to make money, but to make sure that I was happy with everything from the start. After hiring him, Adrian was very patient because my building had a ton of regulations and headaches on requirements, and any other contractor would have just left, but Adrian spent time communicating with me and my building to make sure all the proper regulations were met and get the job started and finished as soon as possible without any delays. Now for the actual work - I can truly say that my hardwood floors look amazing! Throughout the construction work, I would stop by and check how Adrian and his other workers were doing, and I saw that they were very detailed oriented with putting the hardwood in place and making sure everything was cut in proper dimensions and fit perfectly in my condo. You can tell that the craftmanship was excellent. I already had several guests over and the first thing they complimented me on was the hardwood, even before I told them that I just had it installed. Overall, I highly recommend Adrian to anyone looking for a fair, honest person with excellent detailed work for hardwood. In fact, I already recommend him to one of my friends! And you can tell by his other reviews on Angie's list that he's A quality.

Adrian really raises the bar for professionals. I live in an older home that needed a fair amount of flexibility when it comes to the project. Adrian developed a plan and stuck to the plan , informing me all the way . He was remarkably neat and organized.He would complete a phase depending on what was good for the project not rushing to just get the job done.His ability to understand the process lead to success.He stayed on task, was very dependable and improved my house. I would not hesitate to use him again. Did I mention he did all this with a smile? Hard to beat.

Adrian come on time for his appointment. Gave me a fair estimate for the work. He seemed to take real pride in doing good work and I appreciate a good craftsman. They began the work as scheduled and completed on time. The floors look beautiful. He worked with me to get the right color stain and the right gloss finish. I would recommend him highly.

I installed a hardwood floor for a customer. They had purchased it from Lumber Liquidators (On a side note do NOT purchase flooring from Lumber Liquidators...horrible product, horrible customer service. They will not send anyone out to inspect the flooring?! So far the entire experience with them has been a nightmare) The floor's finish started peeling and was more scratched up than any floor I have ever seen...all within the first month of being installed! I called M. Kraft and Adrian came out same day. He reinforced my fears that the floor should be ripped up and reinstalled. I did get the same answer from another flooring guy also...I wanted to be sure. I said the same thing to the customer. Adrian was polite and professional. He was 2 months out and could not do the work before Christmas. The customers want the debacle behind them and did not want to wait. I look forward to working with Adrian in the future.

After contacting Adrian, he came out to assess the current floors within a few days. His pricing is competitive with other proposals we received, as well. He answers all questions we had in regards to finishes and stain colors. We were contemplating two stain colors, but he went above and beyond and showed us what 4 colors would look like to gain some comparison. We also discussed what type of finish coat we wanted (water based or oil based) which I had to do a little research to determine which one suited us best. He stated what his intentions were and executed it exactly as stated. He was able to move around a few clients to fit us into our schedule timeframe we requested (thanks to whomever delayed their floor refinishing for us!) and the job was completed in 3.5 days! Adrian is busy (which is a good thing) and he is honest, competitive and won't cut any corners.

Everything about the experience was outstanding and far exceeded expectations Talked to 3 different companines. Adrian came out within a couple days of my first call to him and showed up on-time for the first appointment (a rarity). He was only one to explain different possible options, different qualities of wood, finishes, how to do the leveling, etc. Came with his iPAD and actually showed me the different product options. He was awesome to work with. Price was very competitive with the others. Gave me a preliminary date and provide regular status updates of how that date was looking. He started when he said he would, and worked straight thru to complete the job in 4 days (I thought it would take him at least a week and a half). Took lots of pictures during the process to show me what he was doing. Used pads and plastic to protect other areas of the house. His equipment all appeared to be top notch and in great shape. Finish and quality look fabulous. I put a level to the floor and the slope and dips are gone. He took the time to clean-up after work each day, and did a full clean up when finished. Place was pretty spotless when he left. And I didn't have the typical issues of damage to something else or a wall dinged up like I've had with other contractors. I would definitely recommend him, and will certainly use him again for other rooms in the house. Was just a super experience, he really knows his stuff.

We recently have purchased a home in Glen Ellyn, IL that had a carpeted second floor. After ripping up the carpet we found hardwood in fair condition, although they didn't look that great. There were several large stains from previous owner's pets, paint spots and frankly-they looked like they needed some work before we would feel comfortable living with them. We had 4 people come out to look at our hardwood floors. All of them seemed professional and the prices varied. Our final estimate came from Adrian of MCraft and it was a fair estimate-in the middle of what we had been given so far. I am pregnant with twins and I was very worried about the dust from the sanding but they had a huge machine that seemed to magically suck away all the dust. I am not saying there wasn't dust but none that I could feel or see. My parents, who had recently done their own wood restoration were amazed at the lack of dust and mess-for them that was a real problem when doing their floors. We agreed that Adrian was the one that made us most happy and liked his truthful frankness about what he could do with our existing floors. We also saw other work that he has done and read many reviews that seemed to back up the decision we had made. We agreed that we wanted him to start as soon as he could and he made every attempt to accommodate us. He showed up exactly when he said he would at 7am and took special care with thick tarps and blankets while storing and moving his equipment. He works with his sons and the whole family seemed very courteous and respectful of being in someone's space. They were very clean and unobtrusive. The sanding went well and the work was done and it was left essentially dust free as he promised. The next decision was staining and I changed my mind a few times. He brought in our exact type of wood and showed us what the 3 stains would look like in variations of color. After all that I ended up deciding before he came to skip the staining entirely and just go with 3 very durable coats of Synteco to preserve the natural look of the wood. The Synteco he used gets high praise for the durable finish but it, like most sealants, smells. He let us know what we could expect and it was like he said. From previous projects I know that anything you seal your floor with smells. We didn't have to stay anywhere the night after he applied the first 2 coats (which I was not there during application) but for the 3rd coat we decided to stay at the in-laws. I was worried about breathing it and you shouldn't leave your windows open for the third coat to minimize dust falling on the setting finish. I am very happy with the awesome job Adrian and his sons were able to do with a floor that needed some serious help. Now we won't have to worry about for at least another 30 year! I would absolutely recommend Adrian and MCraft to my friends and family. I did a lot of research and I am very happy and pleased that we found MCraft because they did a very spectacular job and kept it clean! We will be using them again when our downstairs needs to be refinished at some point!
