From the very beginning when the rep came to our house to scheduling to completion of work, Home Improvements USA was extremely professional. They took the time to explain options and didn't try to upsell but rather really listened to what we wanted and our budget and came up with multiple solutions. The work was done timely and their staff always communicated schedules. The work done was top notch. We needed a fairly significant amount of work to an old structure and they did an amazing job. We are so happy with the work and would recommend them without hesitation to anyone.

It was a smooth process from start to finish. They were knowledgeable in helping address gutter issues we had with our original setup and offered improvements that stopped the overflow issues we had been having. The team that replaced the roof was efficient and they were thorough in cleaning up when they were finished. I have recommended them to neighbors, and will likely use them again for future projects.

We recently had a Turtle Shell metal roof installed by Home Improvements USA. The process was very smooth and professional. Justin answered all of my questions promptly and followed up with me without being pushy. We had another high pressure salesman from another company that also manufactured and installed metal roofs, when I cut that guy loose he asked who we were going with and did not try to talk us out of the Turtle Shell product. During installation care was taken to protect the rest of our property from construction debris and the job site was left clean each day. They also did not rush through installation as I see many roofers do and instead took their time to do it right. During and after photos attached.

I arranged an appointment for an estimate to replace the gutter system on my two story house. The salesperson arrived on time on a Friday afternoon. That is the last thing that went well. I was impressed that I was being visited by Justin, a Vice President of Marketing & Sales. Unfortunately, the title seemed to overstate the experience of the person that I spoke with. He showed little interest in understanding my needs and reluctantly walked around the house so that I could point out trouble areas that I was trying to address. He was unable to give useful answers to most of my questions. I knew it was over when he asked me what I wanted them to do, after I had just explained everything. I responded that I had contacted an expert such as himself because I was looking for a recommendation for the best solution. I asked him to provide that recommendation and a price for the job. He left and I never again heard from Justin or anyone else from Home Improvements USA. I wish he had not wasted his time or mine by visiting my home.

When I decided to replace every window in our home, I knew I had a lot of homework to do. I took it very seriously: learned a lot about windows, met with lots of contractors, got lots of quotes. I chose Home Improvements USA because: 1) the window was one of the best I've researched in terms of value, efficiency, and warranty, 2) their overall quote was not the highest or the lowest, they were right in the middle, and 3) they were able to offer a interest-free financing to help with paying for this huge project. They also have an A+ rating with BBB. So on paper it was a fairly easy decision, but would still have been scary if not for the absolute pleasure it was working with Justin. I met with a lot of guys who tried every known sleazy salesman tactic, Justin never did and always showed me great respect and courtesy. He was the only rep to make me feel like he was in this with me, like we were shopping for windows together. He was highly responsive all the way through, even during and after the install. He even came out all the way from Naperville to my home in Grayslake just to see how the install was going. As for the install: blown away. I didn't have a crew here to install 17 windows in 1-2 days... I had one guy, Mike, who carefully removed and installed each window one at a time. He had help with the big windows but would only let the guy lift and clean - it was clear he was a master craftsman and took great pride in his work. The only ding in this experience was that it took a while to get my order installed even after they arrived from the manufacturer, but now I understand that was just because Mike was unavailable, and I now know I wanted no one else installing my windows but him, so it was well worth the wait. We also replaced our entry door, and reconfigured a downspout - everything came out beautiful and I could not be happier. We intend to hire these guys again next year to replace all our siding. I still say do your homework, but if I could save anyone the trouble and pain of shopping for windows or siding, I would say just hire these guys and sit back and relax knowing you've made the right decision.

I did not have a good experience with the communication. The Handy Lady does all her communication through computer and I am older and not that adept with the computer. When she sent me things, I could not open them because I didn't have the proper software. Every time she sent me something I had to forward it to my brother and he did something and had to forward it back to me. It was a big problem and I like to talk to people on the phone. The communication wasn't what it should have been. They were very nice people but it got to be a little bit aggravating. When I called I had to leave a message. The quality of the work was excellent. I am very happy with the deck and the product they used. Somebody came out to power wash and prepare the deck. There was mildew on the deck and the power washing was not taking it off so I went out with a wire brush myself. He told me that the bleach would kill it but I've done the deck before myself and I know that bleach won't remove it even if it is dead and you paint over it. I didn't complain about it because I am happy with the end result but it was a lot of work for me. I had a few other estimates and their price was in the ballpark. They were using different product. I researched some of the product and even went to the store and talked to the people about the product. What they were using was probably the best. I had one bid that was way lower but you get what you pay for. I even had problems getting hold of the worker because he was out of the country.

I am having them come back out very shortly because there is some rework that is going to get done. The cost was broken down into two parts. $1500 was spent to just have them take the gutters down and put them back up and $500 was for a cover that they put over an extra roof. That was only done at the front part of the house. They did a good job. I cannot complain. When I called to have them come back out, they came back out. I thought they were a little pricey. For taking the gutters up and taking them back down, I thought $1500 was pretty pricey. The reason why we had to stay with them was because we had a warranty with the gutters. When I talked to them, I told them the price was really high but I was just stuck with them.

Not enough testing initially or gutter heating problem would have been discovered by them instead of us after a snowstorm.

I love my gutter cap! They have a great product, which they invented and developed. I went with the high end gutter guard because it matched my shingle and slides under seamlessly making my gutters look so nice. I never have to clean them. I am so excited. The installation was smooth. They picked up everything like they had never even been there. I had a problem with my front downspout and they came out the next day and fixed it. Another perk i that my basement walls do not seep water. I didn't know that my gutters were leaking so much water. I highly recommend this product. I highly recommend Home Improvement. They did a spectacular job. Very professional. Very polite. They did a great job!

I used the Angies List Big Deal Coupon to purchase Gutter Cap for my home. I had been pricing different manufacturers products for Gutter Cap type fixtures. The Agies List Big Deal Coupon sealed the deal for me with Home Improvements USA Inc. The salesman who came out for the estimate on the Gutter Cap was knowlegeable about the Gutter Cap product. I originally did not plan on replacing the gutters as they were in okay condition but were over 20 years old. The salesman gave on some ideas on why replacing the gutters at this time would be a good idea but did not press the matter. The Gutter Cap is attached to the gutters and if they had to be replaced the Gutter Cap would have to be reattached (covered under the warranty). The reattachment was not the deciding factor but I decided to do new gutters as well since they were able to give me the Angies List 40% discount on the gutters as well. I was not home the day the workers did the work but everything looked great. They product has worked well since installation and I did not have to climb the ladder this fall to clean out the gutters. I now have extra wide downspouts which helps to expedite rain away from the house during heavy rain storms. Everyone on the phone and on site were professional and knowledgeable. I had to measure the square footage of my roof regarding the Agnies List coupon. I was not sure if I calculated correcly since I could purchase one coupon or two based on the footage. The sales person on the phone said I could purchase a additional 40% coupon on site if required. I did not require the second coupon but it was nice to know I could purchase one if needed. I would recommend Home Improvements USA Inc.

They showed up 15 minutes early, which was great. They only charged us for the estimate even though the job took longer. I was very impressed. They came out soon after we called. We would certainly use them again and recommend them to others.

I had old metal gutters (probably original to the house) still installed and knew that year 4 into living there, that I needed an upgrade and a better solution to clogged gutters, ill situated downspouts, and just a general headache. On top of all that, I actually had a hole in several corners of my fascia. I contacted Home Improvements USA and was impressed with their thoroughness in explaining my options and answering all of my questions regarding the product. I felt that my Salesman was professional and eager to close the sale. I also liked the Lifetime Warranty they offered, so I signed a contract and submitted a deposit right there. I am a busy professional and don't have time to worry about gutters, I like the idea that I can call with whatever issue and it's their responsibility to come out to address the situation. The office personnel also seem prompt and responsive to my needs; I appreciate good service. Staff showed up within the next couple of weeks and when I came home from work, they were wrapping up my install. I was able to watch them work for awhile, ask questions during and after completion, etc. Several days went by and I noticed that one of the downspouts wasn't positioned where I'd asked and was now pooling water onto my walkway. So I immediately called to get the downspout corrected. They showed up within two days to correct it; I came home from work and my downspout was fixed. It's been about a month now and I have been impressed with the gutters and end caps I purchased; they're performing as I was assured. They also repaired the rotting fascia in several key spots. I am now living clog free and not worried about where the downspouts are positioned and the ensuring pools of water around my property. I would use them again, as I'm considering basement windows.

THey used good shingles and did very good work. They were very polite and professional. You could always speak with someone when, you felt the only customer, and I was very pleased with service.

It went very well, I can open the windows with one finger. I can clean my windows really well, and they are never drafty. I am still very pleased with my windows.

John never returned my phone call. Three years ago I paid too much for their services and I regret it now. This past weekend, the ice storm tore off my down spout. I was told over the phone that it would not be covered under the warranty because it was an "act of God." From my point of view, had they put more brackets around the downspout God wouldn't have been able to act. Especially since I live in a row house and none of my neighbors had any problems with their gutters/downspouts. Too make matters more frustrating, they never returned my call with an estimate or an appointment time.

Had excess water problems in some areas after initial install. Required several repeat visits to finally make it right. Management and workers are disconnected. Workers more insightful than management. Also management dropped the ball after initial complaint and did not respond requiring repeated phone calls.
