They showed up on time on the start day as promised. Weather hampered progress the first week but that can happen and it's certainly not the fault of the contractor. Material was delivered progressively as needed based on the work. The crew works hard and cleans up well at the end of the day. We are very satisfied with the way our house now looks. All work done was first class and no corners were cut. For example, the maintenace free deck boards have no butt joints and all the deck board fasteners were countersunk and plugged. That gives it a very nice look. We also were never enamored by the look of vinyl siding and glad we found Gizmo and the fiber cement siding. The difference in appearance between the two is dramatic. We are very glad we hired Gizmo Home Craft.

It went extremely well. They understood exactly what we wanted, and took care of it without hesitation.

I contacted Gizmo's for an estimate for some handyman work around my home. The gentlemen who I made the appointment with was prompt, courteous and professional during our appointment. We went over what would be done in my home, he took some notes and promised an e-mail quote. I never received a quote via e-mail (checked my spam folder repeatedly), US Mail, or telephone. I thought at the very least I should have received a follow-up call. I ended up contacting and working with another prompt, courteous, professional handyman service provider who actually followed through on his promise for a quote and exhibited genuine interest and willingess to complete the job.

It went well -- it was a small job.

We hired Gizmo Home Improvement to reside our house after the high windstorm of July 1, 2012 damaged our old aluminum siding. Because the insurance company insisted initially on reimbursing only replacement of the aluminum, we had to ask Gizmo for several different estimates (with and without aluminum or vinyl siding on part or all of the house, painting, etc.) Gizmo's owner, Tom Debski, was very responsible, reasonable, and responsive throughout the process which took about 2 months before the insurance company agreed to settle based on completely replacing all the aluminum siding on the house with high grade vinyl siding. Immediately upon receiving our go-ahead, his crew arrived and completed the work promptly, doing a very professional job in all. We are very proud of the new look of our house and appreciate Gizmo's high work ethic and would recommend the company to anyone needing such home improvement services.

They did a beautiful job, clean, no fuss. The results are amazing. I couldn't be happier with the work and the difference it makes in my kitchen. I have used their services before and I will use Gizmo Handyman Services again. Excellent work!

It wasn’t very good. It broke again in several months. I called him again. He brought someone with him with more expertise. He fixed it. I wasn’t that impressed with the first service.

I never heard back so I a decided to go with another company.

The quote was around $6000. I liked that they were very honest and upfront with what they thought that my house needed. They were willing to tell me prices for goods supplies middle of the road or if I just needed to squeak high. They gave me a lot of options and they were very upfront with me.

I had never used Gizmo's before, and I found them on Angie's List. I called the owner Tom and left a message, and he returned my call within a few hours. I described the damage over the phone and sent a photo of the roof, and Tom promptly quoted a price which I agreed to. The next morning a crew showed up at my house as promised and fixed my damaged shingles. Tom emailed me an invoice which I paid quickly to show my appreciation. This was a very small job and I had a difficult time finding anyone who was willing to help me out, which I found frustrating and short sighted. My experience with Gizmo's was excellent and Tom is a nice guy who seems to understand that if you are willing to help people out with small jobs then you are likely to earn their trust and respect to be called in for future larger projects. Based on my experience I would highly recommend contacting Gizmo's for your project.

The gentleman gave a quote of $800 each for repair and painting for a total of $1400. I said $800 for the painting of a ceiling seemed steep. He replied I needed to think about it as a whole. I never received the promised written quote nor did I hear from them again.

Tom Debski, the owner, always arrived at the agreed upon time. And, was always available by cell phone during the job for questions and schedule changes. His crew was prompt and courteous, doing the best possible to confine a dusty job. All work done on time and small improvements suggested at the closing inspection were promptly addressed. Top notch experience from start to finish. Have used this company before with similar results. Would recommend without question.

They completely checked out all the outdated electrical in my house. They installed a new panel box with everything marked clearly. I’m very satisfied with them. I have used their services twice. Electrical is all I have used them for. They seem to be the best. I don't think I could of had it done any cheaper. Everything works.

Tom was easy to contact. Returned my calls and email promptly. Did the job when he said he would and completed in a timely manner. Very easy to work with.

He was way overpriced, quote came in around $1000. His firm appears to be good for larger jobs. However, I liked how responsive he was, and the fact that he actually came out, he was the manager himself. He was very professional, and provided his business card. He was very honest about what the price was. He gave an honest feedback about the basement. It was just an acceptable experience, it wasn?t outstanding.

Tom and the folks he had working with him were always on-time (if not early), and performed the work in the estimated time-frame (three consecutive days overall), Tom is very polite and attentive and was very responsive to our calls and questions. We are really pleased with the work that was done -- it turned out better than we expected. The window matches the others on our house in appearance, and the tile work is really well done. The shelf at the bottom of the window was Tom's suggestion, and we're glad we followed it. His pricing was reasonable and in the low end of the middle range of estimates we received from other contractors. We'd recommend him, and will consider him as an initial option for other projects in our home as they come up.

This individual showed up on time for the estimate, was very knowledgeable about the work - had really good solutions or options about the work, was straight about what could be done... for simple fixes and better quality solutions. He gave me a "rough" verbal price, but when I requested a written estimate there was absolutely no follow through. He had all of my information (phone, home email, work email) and assured he would send the estimate the next day, but it has been over a month and still have not received any contact from this company.

They did a really good job. They were nice and polite. I would use them again.

During the blizzard in February 2011, the siding on the west facing side of my home was damaged by the wind and weather to a point where it needed to be replaced. Using Angies List references I contacted two separate contractors to provide an estimate for repairs, at the same time working with my insurance company at the time (Allstate) to ensure coverage, etc. Tom cam out as scheduled and provided not only a good overview of work that he believed needed to be completed but was also very helpful and proactive in preparing photos and expert opinions for me to support my insurance claim. Throughout this process, there were unfortunately a number of bumps in the road - 1) the siding on my home was a unique color and size which was no longer available by any manufacturer, and 2) my insurance company (Allstate) would not approve full house replacement despite the damage and the fact that a match to existing side was not available. During this entire time, Tom and his crew were fantastic! Tom provided alternatives, samples, and numerous estimates which allowed me to have the necessary repairs done, despite the fact that insurance refused coverage, in a very professional way and at a cost which I could handle as well. Following all of this, I cancelled Allstate and do not recommend them at all - but I have and will continue to recommend Tom and Gizmo Handyman Services. In my opinion, you can't go wrong if you trust Tom and his crew with your general contracting needs - siding and exterior painting in particular.

Repairs look good and paint looks great! Tom was a great guy to work with and his crew was personable and great workers . They appeared each day before we left for work and were still there when we returned. Job went better than we could have imagined. We will definitely call Tom for any future work needed at our house.

I think it was a fair price for the work, I chose him because he had a lot of good reviews to begin wiht. He did everything thoroughly and there were no problems afterward. It was all satisfactory when it was done. I would recommend him to others.

The price was a little high. He was willing to negotiate price. He actually did refer to me someone that did end up using.

I had a positive experience with Tom and Gizmo's. This was my first Angie's List "referral", and Tom even gave me an AL discount! I would not hesitate to use Tom again.

He was great. He was professional and very friendly. The fans worked fine until my sons broke one.

I received several quotes. Several companies tried to sell a whole new roof by bad-mouthing the work done last year. Others offered to caulk over the loose grey caulk with basic silicone caulking. Tom of Gizmo's listened to what I needed, came to take measurements, worked through a few details and came up with a quote that could tie these elements together. He was a higher than some other quotes, but I consider the price fair given the end result so in the "good" category. In terms of professionalism, Tom was exceptionally reliable. As an example, I had to leave on the day the work was being completed so relied on Tom to manage several teams of workers for an upper roof job, lower garage, and more than 12 window sets. The teams apparently "finished" on the day as planned (they were working around rain predictions), but my partner noticed that a small roof section was overlooked. Tom re-called the team on the second day and they had the additional section completed before I returned on the third day. Tom did not request payment until I was able to review the job. Clean up was decent. In addition, Tom took the trouble of matching the new caulk to the siding and there were additional caulk applications to seal doors, units, and small decorative elements on the house.
