Description of Work: Emailed them from their site, never received a response. Of course I could have followed up as well, but even so, I never received a call or email from my inquiry. I hate to give such a bad grade based on zero interaction with the business, but I at least expected some response. I'd give them a chance in the future if I have some more work to be done.

PLEASANT, PROFESSIONAL. HOWEVER, REQUIRED NUMEROUS CALLS TO GET ESTIMATE IN, WHICH WAS MUCH LATER THAN THEY HAD TOLD ME TO START WITH. COST WAS TOO HIGH COMPARED TO OTHER ESTIMATES.

TOM DID A GREAT JOB WITH MY DECK. I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER WITH THE END RESULT. HE IS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT THE PRODUCT AND HAD A LOT OF GOOD IDEAS ON HOW TO PROCEED. WE HAD TO GO BACK AND FORTH WITH THE VILLAGE A FEW TIMES, BUT TOM ALWAYS KEPT ME INFORMED OF THE PROGRESS. TOM WAS ALWAYS ON TIME AND WOULD EVEN SHOW UP BEFORE ANY WORKERS WERE TO ARRIVE. ALL MATERIALS WERE KEPT IN ONE PLACE IN THE YARD IN A COUPLE ORDERLY PILES. THEY ALWAYS CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES AND ALL GARBAGE WAS REMOVED IMMEDIATELY. THEY WERE VERY CONSIDERATE OF THE LANDSCAPING AND NONE OF IT WAS RUINED. NOT ONLY WAS THE SERVICE GOOD BUT THE QUALITY WAS EXCELLENT. TOM'S ATTENTION TO DETAIL WAS ABOVE AND BEYOND ANY OTHER CONTRACTOR I HAVE WORKED WITH.

THE OWNER LED US TO BELIEVE HE WOULD ACCEPT WORK IN NORTHWEST SUBURBS, BUT THIS WAS NOT THE CASE AT ALL. HE SHOULD HAVE CALLED AND TOLD US THAT AFTER OUR INITIAL MEETING, BUT IT TOOK SOMETIME TO HEAR BACK FROM HIM.
Description of Work: THE OWNER CAME TO OUR HOME IN THE NORTHWEST SUBURBS OF CHICAGO (PROSPECT HEIGHTS) TO GIVE US AN ESTIMATE ON A SUNROOM ADDITION TO OUR HOME. HE WAS VERY EXCITED ABOUT OUR ARCHITECT'S PLANS, TOOK A COPY WITH HIM AND PROMISED TO CALL IN A WEEK WITH ESTIMATE, HE NEVER CALLED. INITIALLY, HE DIDN'T ANSWER MY VOICEMAIL MESSAGE. I CALLED HIM A SECOND TIME AND HE RETURNED MY CALL A MONTH LATER. HE SAID THAT BECAUSE WE LIVED IN PROSPECT HEIGHTS, AND HIS SUB-CONTRACTORS WERE IN SOUTH SUBURBS, HE COULDN'T FIND ANYONE TO COME UP NORTH. HE KNEW WHERE WE LIVED WHEN HE CAME OUT. WHY DID IT TAKE HIM SO LONG TO RETURN MY CALL TO LET ME KNOW HE DIDN'T HAVE ANYONE TO COME NORTH? HE NEVER MENTIONED THAT WHEN HE CAME TO OUR HOME FOR INITIAL MEETING AND CONSULTATION.

IT TOOK ME AS LONG AS IT DID BECAUSE I WAS GIVEN A BUDGET, BY THE HOMEOWNER, AND I WAS TRYING MY HARDEST TO FIND THE SUBCONTRACTORS TO DO THE WORK WITHIN THE BUDGET. I APOLOGIZE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE, HOWEVER, IT IS SOMETIMES DIFFICULT TO GET RELIABLE SUBS TO GO THE DISTANCE. IT WAS NOT MY INTENTION TO DECEIVE ANYONE, BUT I TRIED MY BEST TO GET THE ESTIMATE WITHIN THE BUDGET I WAS GIVEN. THIS WAS A LEARNING EXPERIENCE AND IN THE FUTURE WHEN I AM ESTIMATING FAR FROM HOME BASE, I WILL BE MORE OPEN TO THE DIFFICULTIES I AM UP AGAINST. MY SINCERE APOLOGIZES!

HE IS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT DESIGN AS WELL AS INSTALLATION. HE WAS VERY CONCERNED ABOUT PUNCTUALITY AS WELL. WHEN WE ASKED TO SEE EXAMPLES OF THE TREX DECKS HE HAD DONE, HE TOOK US ON A TOUR OF 5 HOMES WHERE WE COULD SEE SOME OF HIS OTHER PROJECTS RATHER THAN MAKING US CALL THE RESIDENTS/PAST CLIENTS AND ASK FOR PERMISSION TO SEE THE DECKS. ALTHOUGH THE CARPENTER DID NOT SPEAK ENGLISH, HE WAS VERY POLITE. HIS SKILL IS INCREDIBLE. THE DECK WAS STARTED WHEN AGREED AND COMPLETED WHEN PROMISED. THE EXPERIENCE WAS DELIGHTFUL. ALTHOUGH IT TOOK A WHILE FOR TOM TO CALL US BACK INITIALLY, ONCE WE HAD AGREED TO THE JOB COMMUNICATION WAS GREAT. IT IS EXPENSIVE, BUT IT IS WORTH IT. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! WE ARE VERY PLEASED! I RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY WITHOUT RESERVATION.
