I did not pursue with him further. I chose a different contractor who was willing to work with me.

Tom Debski gave us a very thorough estimate and reasonable price for painting the exterior of our home, a detached garage and a shed. The painters were thorough, skillful, and careful. Tom stayed closely involved throughout the process. He even fixed a couple of doors even though it wasn't really his responsibility. Both Tom and the painters frequently asked if we had any questions or concerns. When we asked to have a couple of doors painted that weren't in the original estimate Tom readily agreed and didn't charge extra even though we offered and expected to pay. All trash was removed and areas left clean. The job was completed in a timely manner as weather allowed. We will definitely use this business again.

No response to initial Angie's List message on 10/5/13 but replied within hours to second Angie's List message on 10/9/13 and also apologized for missing first message.

The process was excellent. Tom the owner was always on time and so were his employees. Everyone involved was kind, professional and responsive. I was very impressed with everyone. They removed and installed an exhaust fan in the bathroom, hooked up exhaust fan in the attic. Replaced specific parts of the drywall in the bath, removed the old bathroom tile and installed the new tile floor, removed the old sink, installed the new sink top and also installed new faucets in the master bath and in the hall bath. Also removed and installed new medicine cabinet and vanity light. Tom provided specific measurements for me to use to go an purchase the tile for the floor. In addition his employees repainted the entire bathroom. I will continue to use them on any future projects. The entire experience was great.

Was very easy to schedule. Tom provided a fair quote and answered all my questions. Crew came and repaired all damage in one day. Was very satisfied with service.

The prjoect went well. 2 man crew installed exhaust fan in a short amount of time, worked efficiently and quietly, and cleaned up well afterward. We were able to schedule at a time that was convenient to our schedules and they showed up on time. The workers were very nice and professional and easy to work with with. We recommend them for future projects.

Gizmo replaced all floors, all cabinets, redesigned the kitchen so there is about 50% more counter space and upgraded the electrical. The house has been painted and all new wooden doors and been installed. The Master Bathroom now has a customized tiled shower. The cabinets installed were all oak with self closing drawers. New window trim was installed to match the new interior doors, and a new entrance door was installed. In short the entire house was remodeled so now we have a new home, and the cost was reasonable. Tom employs true "old world" master craftsmen. You can not go wrong hiring Gizmo!

I called and explained the problem, after contacting some other contractors. I emailed a photo of the damage and he made the estimate over the phone. He sent someone out the next day and it was repaired in a very short period of time. While I would have liked to pay less, I am not sure if anyone charging less would have done such a nice repair.

Arrived on time for the appointment. Gave warranty for the work. The quote was a little high but the response and overall experience was good.

I am a craftsman and a former contractor. Gizmo clearly identified himself as someone who could be relied upon to provide exceptional quality and service. I found him to be extremely helpful. Though in this case, we did not do business together, I would absolutely consider him again for future projects. He was responsive and timely. His ideas were on point. He also had the ability to bring many trades together, making the job hassle free. Ultimately, we decided we wanted to do a majority of the work ourselves, and therefore did not hire Gizmo.

Tom was great! He was early for the appointment to talk to me about replacing my roof. Everything was explained to me and he gave me an idea of what the project would cost. He sent me a contract that was complete and understandable. The cost that he quoted me was for the roof and he threw in the two gutters for free. His crew showed up early and worked straight through finishing the job in one day. Tom stopped by at the end of the day to make sure everything was done properly and to see if I had any questions. I would definitely use Gizmo Home/Craft again.

The experience has been outstanding. I pay the hourly fee which is around $95. They explained how the systems worked in layman's terms. They were very prompt. They were here 5 minutes before they said they would be. Their prices are reasonable.

.They gave me a quote. I did not use him as the price was high. He came out last summer. He was good, I just thought the price was high. I would consider them in the future.

This was only an estimate. No start-to-finish is required.

Called for estimate to take down and crate a chandalir. But a new one up. Responsive in answering phone right away. Estimate way out of line..... plus could not crate the one coming down. I felt like he was using the contractors trick of over estimate because I really don't want the job....and I can then get rid of client nicely.

They were very punctual. They did a very nice job, and I was pleased with their work. They also seemed very knowledgeable about what they needed to do.

I highly recommend Gizmo Home/Craft. They were very efficient and reliable. The job was done beautifully. The owner came out to provide an estimate of what I thought needed to be done to the windows. Gizmo knows his work and is very professional. It took no time at all for him to inspect and determine exactly what needed to be done to the very detail - and by saving money in the process. I was impressed with his knowledge and skills - especially compared to other estimates and comments I received from other companies. I will not waste my time on estimates with other companies for future home repair needs. And as an added surprise, he repaired my broken door handle with brand new parts on my glass storm door - which saved me from having to purchase a brand new door. Very nice gentleman, and a great trustworthy company!! You will not be disappointed!

We emailed Gizmo (Tom Debski) through Angie's list on a Sunday evening and he responded wthin 10 minutes and set up a time to come out the next morning. He was here 8:00 am on the dot. He went over our problem and gave us a few scenarios depending on what they would find. Also gave us an approximate estimate with each scenario. He gained our trust because we know nothing about electricity and thought we had to rewire our whole house. Tom was very honest and said that would be the last option, if they were not able to locate the problem. The 2 electricans came out the next morning (8:00 am on the dot). Mark was the lead electrician for this particular job and he and the other electrician went over every outlet in our house to track the problem. They changed out all the outlets and switches, but our kitchen light was the only light stll not working. Mark worked diligently to track down the problem from every angle. He tracked faulty wiring to the attic and found the problem. If he had not been so conscientious, I think he would have just given up and told us we needed to rewire our whole house, but he found the problem in our attic and fixed it. He even took a picture of the before and after to show us. Therefore, when we have other work that needs to be done, we will contact this outfit. We higtly recommend them!!

Gizmo Home|Craft repaired cracks in the wall of my laundry room. Then they painted the ceiling and the walls and hung cabinets for me. They took out the old water heater and collected and installed a new one. They did some electrical work on my control panel. They were willing to work with me and accommodate my schedule. They were good at answering questions and concerns. When something came up they stopped and talked to me about it and discussed what I wanted to do, or how I wanted something done. They also commented if they thought we should do something differently, so they were very responsive and very professional. I chose Gizmo from Angie's List because of their reports. They were one of three people I contacted and they gave me a quote.

It was a fine experience. They came at the time they told me and they were responsive. I have no complaints working with them. We decided not to go with them because they were too expensive.

bottom line: he does fantastic work. True craftsman. He will take the extra time to make it right. If you want shortcuts, don't hire him. If you want it done right, hire him. The price is reasonable - I don't recall what it was now but it was competitive with other bids and I believe the quality of work was much higher than I would have gotten for anyone else. He's not "off the shelf" - the solution fits your need. Were a few snafus on the bathroom job that were NOT due to Gizmo - but he did an excellent job in communicating and and working on work around. His tile guy was a AMAZING. I had white subway tile purchased for a prior job, with various trim pieces, and he figured out how to make it work with the bathroom. It's truly stunning. Will hire him again when I finally get around to doing the backsplash (tile) in the kitchen. Floor also had a problem (my fault - too few tiles from the tile purchased for the prior job AND we couldn't get more) but again his guy did a work around so that the finished product is flawless. He fixed the longstanding electrical problems for the bathroom (light fixture that burned through bulbs too quickly) & the closet (homemade wiring job). On the painting, his painter is a pro. The guy I worked with didn't speak English as clearly so it was sometimes hard to communicate exactly what I wanted - in one case he flubbed something minor but he did come in and fix it per my instructions. But the job is flawless - and I'm pretty fussy about painters, particularly edging. On the roof job, since he's fixed it, it has never leaked. He gave me a quote that included a "if it ever leaks, call me" guarantee and 2 years later, no problems. (We have had relatively mild winters but I've been in the house 10 years).

The vendor never returned my inquiry either by e=mail or phone/ Was disappointed I never heard from them

Contacted Tom do to some electrical work in our home before we moved in. We had ceiling fans put in in two bedrooms (there were no previous fixtures), ceiling lights put in in family room, an electrical outlet put in in kitchen for microwave hood, and GFI outlets put in and corrected in bathrooms and kitchen. The electrical work went fine, they were on time and finished the job in one day. No problems. The problem came when I asked Tom about remodeling the kitchen. He seemed interested in the job. We met with his cabinet guy who worked up a design for us after we picked out a cabinet. I repeatedly tried to get a hold of Tom for a quote on the labor to do the remodel but he never responded. Guess my job wasn't worth his time. I've seen other reviews of this nature. That Tom starts out quoting a project but then decides it isn't worth his time and refuses to respond when the client tries to contact him about the project. I wouldn't use them again for this reason. It's too bad for him because we are remodeling the kitchen and redoing the entire first floor flooring to the tune of some $35,000. I'm not sure why a project of that nature is something he would walk away from but it is his loss.

The project was well managed without and downtime. Tom visited the site everyday to manage the process and he kept me very well informed.

I looked up the company and found several on Angie's List. I chose Tom after speaking to two other companies. He came over and we discussed the job; later we went to his shop to see samples of siding and different design ideas. Later, he came to the house to walk it with us. There were a couple of delays, but they were weather related and could not be helped. When I was disappointed once in the color of paint, he came the next day and changed it! We were so pleased with everything. What a relief!
