I had some trouble getting Tom access to the apartment since this was a newly constructed assisted living facility. The apartment was not yet occupied and I was at work trying to call and get the right person to give him access to perform the work. However, Tom was patient and eventually got the work done that morning and emailed me a picture from his cell phone of the finished job. Everything turned out great and I will certainly use him for future jobs.

Tommy and his crew repaired drywall joints and painted our family room. Tommy was quick to come out to our request for an estimate. When we gave the go-ahead, they started within a week, and finished within a couple of days.. The room looks beautiful.

They were on time, quick, efficient, finished all of the work and cleaned up in one day. If I need handyman services again, I will definitely call them.

The door to my garage was hung and was most importantly level. I checked myself and I am pleased at the results. I had two drywall holes that were patched. This was pretty basic work and looks good. The big issues that I had were some nasty drywall tape cracks in my kitchen ceiling and in a vaulted ceiling in a bedroom. The kitchen drywall problem looked to be caused by a water overflow from the floor above. He took his time, added the necessary tape and got rid of any wavy and bumpy areas. The last drywall issue I had was from a pathetic original tape job in the joints of the vaulted ceiling. It was cracked, rounded and looked horrible. Tom?s guy did a great job of making a crisp, straight joint. I am very pleased at the results. The reason I put an N/A in the price is that I am not very familiar with hiring contractor help. I will let the reader of this decide if the price is worth about 11 man hours. To be completely fair, I am pleased with the work and it is definitely a couple of issues that are clear of my thoughts thanks to Tom and his crew. So with that, some people may say it was money well spent. But as I have nothing to compare prices too, I can't give a grade. I can only grade my satisfaction, which is an A.

Like I said, Gizmo?s, is more than just a handyman service. If I ever need structural, siding, electrical, or other items repaired, Tom Debski and Gizmo?s will be my first and only call.

I sent them an email as requested on their website for handyman services (specifically electrical). They sent me an email back and said someone would call me in 24 hours. It has been four days and they have not contacted me.

Our kitchen faucet was leaking for quite some time. My husband replaced the cartridge which we thought was the problem and then replaced the hot water valve which was also leaking. When we attempted to use the faucet the hot water would no longer go through the faucet. I called Gizmo's on Monday morning, he gave me an estimate, and then came to the house later that day. He took the faucet apart and checked the valve and determined that the work my husband had done was fine. He then called the manufacturer and spent time on the phone with them. The manufacturer sent more replacement parts which arrived the next afternoon. Gizmo's came out early the following morning to install the replacement parts and the faucet now works fine. I will use Gizmo's in the future for other projects.

Tom was extremely responsive to my initial request. I got a call within the hour to get a quote from him. The price was high for the work provided, however it was the holidays and he told me that he would need to charge extra up front for labor. It was extremely cold outside when he had to install a new post in concrete, so I can't say that I would have wanted to do the work myself. All in all a good experience...I will continue to use Tom in the future.

Very well! Tom called me back the same day that I asked for a quote. Even though it was a busy time, he stopped by the same day to make the quote. He was able to fit in the work the next week before the holiday. He and his colleague arrived promptly on time. They were very careful with the equipment and our home and cleaned up the bits and pieces from the installation. There was an issue with the original bathroom fan that they brought and Tom quickly took care of it and found a great replacement. Not only is the work lovely, they were lovely to have in the home - so calm and not stressful at all.

They can do everything and anything. The price and service was excellent. Their work was great. I would recommend them for any kind of kitchen and electrical work. They move things when they work in order not to damage them. The kitchen looks fabulous now. I will call them back this spring for some more work.

We had a leak in our kitchen ceiling for 2 or 3 years, it was not too bad but we decided to fix it this year. We tried to hire somebody else before Tom, he gave an estimate for 1200.00 just to fix the dry-wall and repainting. Then I decided to join Angie's List to look for good professionals with good reviews and reasonable pricing. I found Tom, his company name says Handyman but he actually does everything not only small fixes around the house. Tom came checked the situation and suggested to actually fix the root of the leak and as he said we didn't a protective paper under the siding with direct contact with the kitchen roof. He gave me the price of 1700.00 for the whole job, 1200 to place the protective paper under the siding and 500 for fixing the drywall and repainting that is to be compared to 1200 from the other guys. On the day of the job, Tom came with three of his guys, two of them working on the siding, removing everything, placing the protective paper and putting back the siding. The other guys was fixing the drywall and repainting. 95% of the work was done the same day, they had to come back another day to finish re-painting because the fixed dry-wall needed more time to dry out. Everything was clean as it was or better, everything just perfect. Tom is a great guy, very friendly and sociable, but also very professional, he says what he does and does what he says.

The service I received was great. The crew was on time and even tho they had to leave to go and do another job, they were back at my house ready to work again 4 hrs later. They were good about cleaning up the mess and opening the door when they had to cut into the wood of the cabinets. I felt the price was reasonable as they had to do a lot of lifting and setting things in place. Tom was great with his crew no yelling and getting angry. They all seemed to get along well with each other,and they were very respectful of my dog, Ozzie. Thanks Tom and I will call you again if I need something else done. Linda Hubert

He was very good. He called back right away when I first called him. He was out here in a couple of days and got the job done.

He couldn't figure out what was wrong with my window, but he wanted to charge way more than was necessary. He didn't spend time to figure out what was wrong, so he said he was going to put the caulk all around the window, even though the problem was between the glass. He was going to charge me $400-500 for putting the caulk all around the window. He said he wasn't available for several days, so I went with another company to complete the repairs.

It is not only the quality of the work. My first leak in July- I went to Angie's list and chose 4 roofing contractors in my area. Tom Debski was at my house the same day (The leak was above the kitchen, which we were remodeling- showers were predicted the next day.). Two men were in my driveway at 0730 the next morning. Only one other contractor called back. The price was reasonable, the work excellent, workers punctual, and everything Tom said he would do, he did. The 2nd leak was worse and required more labor & materials. I highly recommend Tom Debski & Gizmo's. Responsive, dependable, Honest.

He was very good. He came in and identified the problem right away. He didn't waste any time. He was the only one that I had called. The price wasn't much. He showed up on time. He did his work. He didn't try and sell me anything. He did what he had to do and that was it.

He was very kind and was honest about the price. His response time was quick and he was very informational. I will call him in the future for other handyman projects in our home.

Very good communication. All phone calls returned promptly and all appointments and work schedule times kept. Would definitely recommend and use on future projects.

I've had Tom do several jobs before, and have always been more than happy with both his work and his prices. In this case, he came out first to assess the problem, and when he saw it's extent he recommended a plumber he works with whom he knew had the proper specialized tools. He said they would be out the next day (Saturday) at 8:00 AM. They were exactly on time, and Tom came along with them. They has to cut and drill out a frozen access plug to remove the clog, and replaced the plug with a newer design which will be much easier to remove should it be necessary to clean the large, black, mudlike clog again. The charge was more than reasonable. I am awainting the arrival of new front storm door and have already hired Tom to do the installation, because I trust him to do it properly.

Arrived on time, completed work, actually did more than we had discussed and did not change price,and left the work area very clean.

I cannot begin to tell you how great it was to work with Tom at Gizmo. During our first meeting he was able to understand my vision for my master bedroom with an attached sitting room, and make recommendations. In my sitting room he installed 9 can lights with a dimmer. This looked great. Also he installed a ceiling fan perfectly over my bed. The master bath needed an additional cabinet for storage along with a closet system for double hanging. I also needed additional cable outlets for my TV with new power outlets. I was stunned at how quickly the work was done. The last step was the painting on the rooms which was the final touch on my vision. This company knows what they are doing. One stop shopping and quality, quality, quality work. I will use them on all of my projects.
