They quoted $10000 for the job. My experience with them was great. The estimator came on time, did the estimate and got right back to me as he promised. I think he probably would have done an exceptional job. However, we chose a different contractor for the job because Gizmo's Handyman Services was three times as high as the other contractors who bid for the same work. So it was difficult to select them above the others after looking at the bids I received. I would certainly invite him again for another bid if I need to do something else in a different house. I hope I won?t need anything else done in this house in a while.

Tom and his crew arrived on time and went straight to work. All of them were professional and personable. I wasn't expecting them to be able to finish both tasks in one day, but both were completed quickly and correctly! I highly recommend Tom, and i hope to have him install new windows next summer.

Tom and his electrician came exactly when promised and brought all the parts with them to fix the problem. It was completed within an hour and cost much less than other estimates I got.

I am 5 hours away from the rental property. I had called 3 electricians and 2 of the 3 did not show. I could not solve the problem on my own. I tried Angie's for the first time and it worked like a charm! Gizmo's came the same day of the call and the service was outstanding!

I guess they don't need any new business. I called, got a voicemail, left a description of my problem, my name and number and no call back. It's been 4-5 days now.

Tom has good ideas. Communication and follow thru are not Tom's strong points Even if Tom didn't want to take the job he should have let me know so I wouldn't have to call, email or write a bad review.

Gizmo's was punctual and professional, and did a nice job replacing our broken garbage disposal and fixing our outdoor outlet and light.

He leaned on it and started yanking and broke it off. He swung his arms up in the air and told me it wasn't his fault. He has claimed no responsibility for breaking that piece off my bathtub. Now, I have duct tape holding up the piece. I don't understand, if he knew his job/does construction, why he would be pulling on it in the first place. I do not want him back in the house since he doesn't stand behind his work. He never apologized. Told me it was old and it wasn't his fault. I am extremely upset about this.

Very smooth. Tom came out and looked at the job and was able to do the repair when we needed it done. ASAP! We will be keeping his number around!

Fron quote to finish Tom was very attentive to detail and delivered on all promises. Daily work schedules were mutually agreed and completed as planned.

Company was very good about overall response time, came out and looked at the property, was very professional and courteous. . But then I never received a quote that was promised in a few days. I would have liked to see the quote and compared it to the other bids. . At this point I have already decided on another contractor but it is a shame there was no follow-up bid sent to me. .

It was WONDERFUL. Tom is always responsive and pleasant. He is truly one of the best I've had. I had a leaky sink in the laundry room and in the kitchen sink. The kitchen sink was a chronic problem that the builder pretended to fix previously. The laundry room was a new problem. In addition, the previous handyman broke my garage door opener and pretended he was going to return to fix it. After a month, I've gotten the hint. I LOVE Tom. As I said, he's responsive, professional, and he's good. He couldn't fix the garage door opener because in addition to screwing up the wire he had also stole the arm, so Tom gave me a referreal.

I thought it went very well. I called him and begged him to come because I had just moved in and didn't want to be in the dark. He came, and they installed the fans. I was so grateful because I'd called a lot of people, and everyone was sleeping off their Thanksgiving dinners.

I only obtained a bid from Gizmo. Their prices were high compared to other bids and they did not seem very interested in the job. I also struggled on follow up with them to get an actual written proposal. They initially come off as very professional, but it felt like our project (a new window, drywall and carpentry with some misc home repairs) was not very important to them.

Tom was great to work with. He came and completed the work and would not accept payment until job was completed. Parts were ordered and they had to return two additional times which they did as promised. I highly recommend using Gizmo and Tom.

I contacted Gizmo's for an estimate on a new deck. I had used Gizmo's previously to repair some siding damaged by wind and was happy with their work. Tom Debski provided the estimate along with sketches and pricing alternates. Tom was able to adjust the price based on my budget. Once we agreed on a design, Tom was able to get the permit and arrange for inspections. The work went smoothly and his workers were professional. The deck was completed as promised and he also was able to repair some minor siding and electrical issues without a hitch to the schedule. All in all a good experience and I will call Gizmo's again when I need more work done on the house.

He obviously wasn't interested in working on my project

It went very well. He came out the day after I called and performed the work very quickly.

Gizmo showed up on the day scheduled and finished the job well and cleaned up once finished. I would use them again in the future.

See above, but overall Tom is willing to listen to our concerns and goes out of his way to address them. The crews he has used in our projects are very professional.

Very good. Tom at Gizmo has an an experienced contractor's eye. He understood my objectives and made recommendations which were helpful in preparing our townhouse for sale. Tom is also providing his assistance with some misc jobs.

All work was fine and done in a reasonable amount of time. Seemed eager for any additional work I added to the original list.

Gizmo's did the work and there wasn't any issue until 10 days later when I discovered water coming through the ceiling of our living room from a water fitting that was incorrectly attached for the new toilet seat which was work done by Gizmo's. It turns out the fitting had been slow leaking from the time of the work done by Gizmo's on or about November 6th, and had accumulated until water finally came through the ceiling into our living room and onto our furniture and floor on Tuesday, November 17th. State Farm handled the claim and we had to pay the $1000 deductible. State Farm determined that Gizmo's was responsible and referred the case to their Subrogation Services department to collect restitution for our $1000 deductible, as well as there own expenses repairing and repainting our living room. I received a letter from State Farm today, May 14th, stating that Gizmo's did not have any insurance, so they've sent out the claim to a collection vendor to pursue recovery. I've contacted Tom from Gizmo's in the past in an attempt to get this settled amicably, however, he refuses to cooperate, and now I find he wasn't even insured even though it says he is insured under his details on Angie's List. For future consideration of Angie's List vendors, I would recommend your members ask for proof of insurance, or similar, so that they don't get stung like we did. As far as I'm concerned, I only want back the $1000 we're out-of-pocket, and Gizmo's can take up the rest with State Farm and the collection vendor.

Never got here becuase they didn't espond.

I called Tom to set up an appointment to get a quote on replacing some paneling in our family room with drywall. We also needed the ceiling replaced. Tom quickly returned my call and we set up an appt for Saturday, March 20th. Tom showed up on time for the appt. We discussed the work needed and Tom took my email address and said he would email me the quote. When I had not heard back from Tom I called him Thursday, March 25th. He said he would email me the quote that night. It?s now Tuesday, March 30th and still no quote and no phone call from Tom. Does it really take 10 days to give a quote? This is not a big or complicated job. We chose Gizmo?s based on the rating on Angie?s list. We are very disappointed. Not only has Tom lost this job but we have many other household jobs we need done that he?s now lost the opportunity to do those as well. If someone promises to send us a quote and gives us a date we expect them to follow through on their promise. I guess Gizmo?s doesn?t need the work.
