Description of Work: Gizmo's Staff removed most of the ceiling in theMaster Bedroom so that additional insulation could be applied to the attic space, by another Service Provider).They then replaced and refinished the MBR Ceiling. They worked quickly, efficiently, QUIETLY (which I appreciated), and when they left,the ceiling was perfectly matched in color, and was in some respects even better than when it was originally done, 5 years ago. The room was spotless. I was very pleased with their work. GIZMO is a rare Outfit. I wish more were like this.

Description of Work: My wife called Gizmo for an estimate on a leak in the roof by the downspout that was staining the ceiling above the garage. Tom Debski did a visual inspection from the driveway and NEVER even climbed up on the roof. He quoted my wife $1200 for labor and this did not include materials. He said that he would email us the estimate but we have not yet received it, this was over a week ago. We got an estimate from another company, whose sales rep went onto the roof and spent a good 15 minutes and quoted us $600. Another company's sales rep, who talked way too much with lots of 'oohs', 'ohs', and 'geez', inspected the roof and siding, informed us that the roof looked fine and thought that it may be a siding issue. The only good thing about this estimate was that he said that they should do a water test to find the source. The lack of consistency in price and practice makes me wonder about the integrity of the roofing industry. Sigh....who can you trust.

Description of Work: Tom was easy to work with, his workers were on time and were did the work very well. the only thing I was surprised about was that Tom came to a price of $1000.00, without explaining how he came to that price. I had requested to have all the door frames painted and 2 newly installed doors painted. I did NOT get a written estinate with cost for each frame and the 2 doors.

Description of Work: I called for an estimate and received immediate feedback. Tom showed and gave his opinion on some of the repairs we had in mind and made some good suggestions. We left off with him saying that he'd follow up with some additional information. Since then not an email or a phone call... Suffice to say I was not happy

Description of Work: I contacted Gizmo's handyman service and Tom came out the same day. He asked for my e-mail address and said that he would e-mail me with an estimate. He seemed very nice. I kept waiting for an e-mail from him for an estimate on what I wanted done. I never got one. I suppose that was his was his way of telling me that the things I wanted done were too small of projects for him. I guess I need a handyman who will do small projects and not just big ones.

Description of Work: Remove kitchen counter tops, raise the existing cabinets, install new kitchen sink, new garbage disposer, new faucets, re-do electrical wiring, install new dish washer, install 8 GFI outlets, correct existing wiring, install hand rail for stair-case Mr Debski and his crew were very polite, professional and punctual. They cleaned up after their work very nicely. I was even more impressed when Mr Debski called the next day to verify every thing was satisfactory. I certainly will use him for other work. I also will recommend him to my friends.

Description of Work: They repaired the flashing around some pipes on the roof that caused a leak in the ceiling of a closet and then repaired the ceiling where the drywall was damaged. Excellent and thorough work. They were very careful when inside my home to make sure they kept the area clean. Highly recommend Tom for any work that you need to have done.

Description of Work: After reading all of the positive reviews I decided to try Gizmo's for several projects around my home ranging from painting to electrical. They were very prompt in returning my call and we scheduled an appointment the following day to take a look at what I needed done. It has been almost two weeks now and I am still waiting for the estimate via e-mail. I made sure I wrote my e-mail address down so that he would be able to read it. I have since hired another company (referred from Angie's list) to do the job and am very pleased. I am sure Gizmo's does good work but they SUCK when it comes to customer service. At least they could have e-mailed me and said they weren't interested in doing the job. I would have appreciated honesty rather than just hearing nothing at all.

Description of Work: We were having problems opening and closing out front door. Called yesterday, stated he would be here at 8 a.m. the next day. He arrived exactly on time, looked at the door, got his tools and repaired the door within 10 minutes. Charge was $0. Stated if we have any work in the future to call him which most certainly we will.

Description of Work: Fixed a leak in the roof, removed siding, replaced caulk , tyvek and siding repairing a leak in upstairs window, matched and replaced ten damaged full lengths of siding on south side of house and above the garage door, replaced original wooden garage trim, installed motion dectector. He and his crew arrived exactly on time and they left everything neat and clean.
