Description of Work: I initially purchased a Furnace Clean & Check from Angie's List, to get my furnace checked and find out why my house was so dry. It turned out that my Humidifier needed servicing and a reduced rate service plan for the year would cover that and give me future cleaning visits. I've used Energy Services before in my previous home and my dad had an HVAC business, so I knew that the price and work was needed (and a lot easier then me doing it myself). I was able to schedule a visit the same day that I bought the deal and before a Holiday (not always easy). The technician was prompt (early part of the appt window), courteous and performed a full evaluation of my furnace with pictures and showed me issues that he noticed that could be a problem later on. There was also no pressure to do any repairs or purchase any services-the attitude was "here's what I see, it means this but isn't causing issues now so just keep an eye on it" and for the service plan "would you consider this because it will discount other services and will help monitor for problems before they become major repairs". No hard sell, no scare tactics. I would definitely recommend Energy Services and plan on using them myself going forward.

Description of Work: We bought the $49 service call. They did come out and fix the AC, but also talked us into buying extended coverage. Over the years, it seems every time we've had them out to repair something, something else breaks or we end up spending more on prepaid services. They are very nice, though, and it doesn't seem unreasonable at the time, but looking back, it seems to cost more than we bargained for or expected all the time. I would use them again because I've already prepaid for some services.

Description of Work: We originally purchased a Big Deal for a furnace tuneup. The technician spent over 2 hours cleaning the furnace and checking emission levels. He told us that the CO levels were high and that he had shut down the furnace. We met with a salesman from Energy Services the following week and purchased a new furnace which was installed a few days later. We were 100% satisfied with the service and our new furnace. Everyone we dealt with was professional and took the time to explain things to us. A resounding thumbs up to Energy Services. |

Description of Work: I bought the furnace tuneup for one of my rental units and I had the tenant schedule a convenient time for them and the service company. They setup a time and it took a longer than expected. But nothing was urgent anyways. The guys did the clean and check, recommended the aging parts the capacitor and the ignitor. The replacement costs were per market price. No deals on that. So I pass it for the time being. I knew the filter was in bad shape. But no recommendation on that. Not sure if they replaced that with one or just cleaned that or nothing happened at all.
