The provider performed same-day service, even though the call was at the end of the day.Very professional, very knowledgeable, very good service. Price seemed steep for fixing a pilot light ($428), but provider explained that a kit had to be purchased to get the part in question. Repair was made quickly and the problem was solved. Thank you!

I can't comment on the price. I haven't used anyone else to perform a Furnace Clean and Check. In other words, I can't give the price a grade based on what another company charges for the same service; services being equal etc.

The service providers were within the promised time window. They were professional, polite and explained each issue they were addressing. There was no mess. They took everything with them when finished. We had previously used GFI before it was acquired by Energy Services. The quality of the service is consistent.

He came out and cleaned our furnaces. He told me I really needed to think about replacing my furnaces. I had another contractor come out for a second opinion and he told me I needed to replace the motor in one of them, but they were otherwise in excellent condition and I didn't need new ones.

I paid for a furnace cleaning and exam through Angie's list deals. The repairman, John, was right on time. He was very thorough. He took his time and explained everything he was doing and how it affected the furnace. Sometimes, when you get a deal and are not paying full price, the service is not as good. In this case, I found the opposite to be true. John was so informative and friendly that I decided I would sign up for their maintenance program. I would recommend this company to anyone needing a cleaning or service on their furnace.

The serviceman arrived promptly and began his cleaning and inspection of the furnace. He had a problem inspected the heat exchanger but called his supervisor for his opinion of the condition of this furnace part. They spent 2 hours here and did a thorough inspection. I was more than satisfied with their service.

Technician was very thorough and responsive with the current state of the unit, what was wrong, and what it would take to fix it. He was able to clean and reuse a part that would otherwise have cost ~$600 to replace. Also found another part that was about to go bad, which could have damaged the blower motor and replaced. Responsiveness of the company in general was excellent, since the technician arrived a bit over 2-hours since my call for help. Fees included the diagnostics, labor & part. Will keep their number in my rolodex.

This company displayed a level of incompetency that could have harmed/killed my family. Any company that puts a quick buck ahead of my family's safety is not a company to trust. The install was fine, but the furnace failed two months later. They did tell me replacing the blower motor was a band-aid and suggested the furnace be replaced due to age, so this isn't my issue. My issue is when the furnace failed the 2nd time a different company came out and told me that the furnace was a fire hazard and needed to be replaced as a matter of safety. Due to delayed ignition they said the furnace could have started a fire. My furnace was replaced by a home warranty company, but I did end up paying 555.00 out of pocket.

They were a B. I thought their pricing was high.

decided to let him replace the ice maker. It went well cost of new ice maker installed was 300.00

Greg, the consultant at Energy Services, stopped by our house after the initial contact. He did an inspection of the old unit, went over different options with us and provided the estimate. The install team (Anthony and Mike) arrived the following week as scheduled and the installation was done on time and they even cleaned the site after. The whole crew are courteous and professional.

Very professional, thorough inspection, explained everything they were doing as they worked on the unit. He told me that it was going to go at some point but wasn't sure when. He replaced the condenser as well as another part and everything seems to be working fine now

The Carrier Infinity series heating and air conditioning system is a high end complex system which includes electronic controls and other components that require a very high level of expertise for system maintenance. I wish that I had discovered Energy Services Inc a few years ago. They are not a plumbing company that has just a few guys doing heating and ac installs and service. Energy Services is certified by Carrier, they have high ratings on BBB and installing/repairing HVAC systems large and small is their main line of work. So, when you have problems your system (and you will have problems because of its complexity) the service tech and service manager have the depth of knowledge on how to fix it or how to get answers quickly without wasting time trying to reach the Carrier help desk. I spent about two summers trying to get my former local service company (a reputable plumbing and hvac company which did the original install but is not Carrier certified and does not get BBB accreditation) to properly diagnose my air conditioner which was not cooling properly with system failures which would cause the entire system to shut down leaving us sweltering. In October of 2014, after numerous tweaks and parts replacements, with long waits for a response, my former service company mentioned that Carrier was offering a replacement/repair program for my outdoor AC unit for what appeared to be a failing compressor inside the unit. After more delays in response, I did some research and due diligence on the problem and other service providers. When I contacted Energy Services Inc about the problem, I was very impressed with their customer service call center, technicians and service managers. They were knowledgeable, diagnosed the problem quickly and offered solutions that were reasonable. They were very responsive to getting the issue resolved quickly before it was too cold to replace the outdoor unit effectively and before the Career replacement program expired. I opted to replace the entire outdoor unit instead of the less expensive option of repairing the compressor (because my unit was several years old, I did not want to risk having other old parts break down later). After they diagnosed the problem and offered repair or replace options, Energy Services got the outdoor uint replaced two weeks later just before cold weather arrived. The install took about two hours with one technician. He was very neat and thorough. In May of 2015, Energy Services sent a technician to start up the system and make some adjustments at no additional cost. This past summer, the AC worked perfectly and our electric bill was reduced because of the efficiency of the new unit.

My experience with Energy Services was excellent from my first call to the office to the service technician's visit. Everyone was very professional and knowledgable. The Angie's List service coupon was a great way to try out this company. The reviews from other members helped, too. I have a Carrier Infinity series system. I needed to get my furnace annual cleaning done and also to get a second opinion on a very expensive repair on the outdoor A/C condenser unit. The service tech was very through on the furnace cleaning. He also saved me some money by recommending that I sign up for the annual service agreement in order to cover my humidifier and applying the service coupon to that agreement. His deep knowledge on my Infinity A/C condensor enabled him to quickly assess the problem and make a recommendation. See my comments on the repair in a separate review. Your Heating/AC system will be in very good hands with this company.

It worked out really well. The only thing was that it took a little while before they could schedule me, but then I called them and so I had to complain, and they explained that mine was maintenance and not something else. They had 2 ways to schedule me. It was taking so slow. I guess it was listed under maintenance, not an emergency. When I was going to contract them directly without Angie's List, they could have gotten out to me in 2-3 days. When I went to Angie's List, that was the earliest I could get but then it was also going to be a lot more money. They charged more than the Big Deal because they used a certain amount of freon, and it came to 1 pound. Anything over 1 pound then I had to pay extra. They said that a pound was free. They charged me $96 for the additional pound which I know to be huge marker, but I would imagine they all do that too. I wasn't as happy with the time commitment, but fortunately it wasn't straight summer. We did get some warm days. They kind of explained that to me and I trusted that that was the case. The technician was great. He did a thorough job. I kind of watched him so I didn't have many concerns with the tech himself. I trust that the extra pound was what the case was. I fell in love with Angie's List because of the price it got us for it. I was up to $285 when I was going to pay out of pocket, and that was just up to a pound of freon so if I would have wanted another pound, it would have been $300 so I would say that's a lot of money. They gave me a time frame and I knew they would obviously so they were punctual.

Showed up when they said they would and changed filter as agreed to at a rental apartment I own. It's so hard to find someone reliable, I will definitely call here again when I need service. Very happy with this company. Was stood up twice before I called them.

because this was not my home (yet), i had to coordinate with the current owner's realtor and my realtor for time to inspect and repair existing units in the new home. Energy Services was very understanding and accommodating. after their service call, they then drove to my current home to review their report and required repairs. i'd definitely use their services again!
