Description of Work: Vendor was supposed to diagnose and estimate repair of furnace. Tech said he didn't know if he could get the parts and quoted s price unreasonably high price to repair. The cost was close to double what another vendor did without any issue at all. Tech implied that we needed a new furnace when there was no reason repair couldn't be done.

Description of Work: I hired Energy Services because I was experiencing a noisy furnace (humming/buzzing) and a smell like burning oil/plastic. I needed troubleshooting. The technician was prompt and courteous. He pronounced my furnace to be in fine working condition. A few days later, my blower motor failed -- in the middle of a 10-below-zero cold snap. I called a parts shop and replaced it myself. I'm disappointed that the tech didn't check the furnace carefully enough to catch the problem and save me the hassle of having to repair this during a dangerously cold snap. I felt my $80 was wasted.

Description of Work: a cleaning and inspection of our furnace. Work was done, and bit up upselling (to be expected). But, he did find some issues with the furnace install from when it was put in, and took pictures and told me how to explain the problem to the original installer (still under warranty)
