During one of the hottest spells of the year, our call was responded to within 2 hours. Brian (the service technician) was pleasant and very professional. The repair was done in very little time and cost much less than we were expecting for an on site repair. Overall a more-than excellent experience. Would highly recommend this company to anyone needing heating / AC repair.

Both the salesman/estimator and technicians were very knowledgeable and professional. They showed up on time, put down tarps to protect the basement carpet, and did a great job on the installation. One of the technicians walked me through the functions of the thermostat and the general operation of the furnace, how to change the filter etc. They did a great job and we will continue to use them in the future for service on the unit

A/C stopped cooling; service called. Immediately, the tech found a huge problem and brought it to my attention. Strongly recommended replacement of entire a/c system. Agreed to refund my service call fee if we purchased a new a/c system from them. My husband is an HVAC engineer and totally agreed with his diagnosis. We then had an estimate done a few days later. All the people I had contact with were professional, polite and responsive. I was referred to them by a neighbor and was very pleased with the overall service. Our a/c works great and was repaired just in time for a heat wave. Whew!

I was very impressed with the man who came out to check out the unit. It was an emergency call so I did have to pay extra but the man was very friendly and honest. He showed up quickly and offered me what I believe was a good deal on what he believed needed to be fixed.

This company does awesome work. We've been dealing with them since 2006 when they installed our furnace. Since then we have also purchased a new a/c and have annual checks of both units. They are extremely friendly and very helpful.

I purchased the Energy Services deal on Angie's List for $59 to clean and check the furnace. I contacted Natalie and she was very polite and set up the appointment for two days later (I could have had them out the next day but I was busy). The appointment was set for Friday between 8-12noon and Natalie said the tech would call before he came. By 11:30 AM I hadn't heard from them so I called Natalie back and she verified that the Tech was still coming and he called at about 12:15. Gus arrived about 12:45 and went to check the furnace. He was polite, thorough and did an excellent job cleaning even the dirty areas. He also cleaned the gas orifice as well as the heat exchanger and vacuumed the furnace. He checked for carbon monoxide fumes and wiped down everything. Overall Gus did an excellent job and will have them out in the spring to check the air conditioner.

Service representative arrived within scheduled time frame. He was friendly, definitely professional, performed advertised services. Also asked about operation of humidifier attached to furnace; renewed as requested. Also disposed of dead mouse in furnace.

Technician was consistently late. Unprepared on the first day and had to come back the following day to perform service. Installed humidifier incorrectly, burning out furnace board and thermostat (I did not have to pay for these as it was GFI's fault they were damaged). Thermostat problem was discovered on the third day (a Saturday) and service had to be called back in a third day. I felt pressure by technician to tip. I was never contacted by management or reimbursed for any of my troubles.

This is the third item installed by GFI Heating and Cooling. I have also have my equipment checked each season. I trust them completely.

I called GFI for a quote on a new furnace and A/C. The people in the office were very friendly. We set-up an appointment for someone to come out and talk to me. They showed up promptly for their scheduled appointment. They thoroughly explained all my options for the different models they offered. I did not feel like I was being pressured to buy. They also offered free 6 months free financing. I decided to go with GFI because after comparing their pricing, history in the area, and the professionalism of their employess. I felt comfortable that I was making the right choice. I also knew they would be around to service my equipment if something did go wrong. On installation day they were right on time. From start to finish they installed the furnace and A/C in about 7 hours. They cleaned-up after they were done. I was also fortunate to have the owner Bill as part of the installation crew. He was very friendly and definitely a perfectionist. Do not hesitate to use GFI for any repair or installation you might need.

Had GFI come out for annual furnace check/clean. Made the appointment online and Pam pointed out the company was offering a $10 coupon on their website for the service I requested. Made the appointment with a two-hour window, and the service person showed up within the first half hour. Brian was awesome! Put shoe covers on, looked professional and offered a friendly greeting. He even made eye contact when conversing. He did not mind when I shoulder surfed while he worked. He actually did a COMPLETE furnace check and clean and did not just remove the cover and vacuum dust off its interior and then try and sell me a new furnace. Brian also put a part back on the furnace a previous HVAC service person from a different company did not think was necessary. When that work was completed in 2009, the part was left just sitting on the floor and it sat there for two years until Brian replaced it. Brian, in a polite manner, advised me furnaces do not come with unnecessary parts, explained what it was for and put it back where it belonged without any extra charge. Rather than try and sell me on a new furnace, Brian assured me the unit was in good shape and, without making any promises, felt the furnace would get me through another winter. I was concerned about having a cleaning done because the previous company that came in two years ago tried to hard sell me on a furnace preying on my fears that the unit I had was about to expire. Brian also answered questions I brought up about replacing the furnace in the future and gave me some updates on what to watch for and what was new in the industry. Brian checked the furnace thoroughly, put all the pieces back in place and vacuumed the exterior of the furnace and the floor before he left. I would highly recommend GFI Heating and Cooling. The cost for the furnace cleaning/check was a few dollars higher than most companies I looked into, but the service and job performed was well worth it. In fact, one company I checked online, which offered a similar service for $25 less, has yet to respond to my week-old email about which communities they serviced. GFI responded to my service request via email with a list of available appointment openings almost immediately. Thanks GFI
