We had a good experience and our only complaint is that the service man tried way too hard to sell other products and services. I was constantly telling him "Thank you, but no."

The man that came out was nice and polite. When he first arrived he checked the furnace and said that there was Carbon Monoxide present and I should get a new furnace. I want to get a second opinion before making the final purchase. He showed up on time and cleaned up after himself.

This is the first bad review I have given to an Angie?s List member. I had used a coupon from Energy Services to have my AC checked and serviced in July of this year and was extremely pleased with the technician who came out to service the unit. As a result of my experience, I purchased a coupon for $59 for a furnace inspection and cleaning and also included (for an extra cost) cleaning and a new pad for my humidifier (at twice the price of the furnace inspection I might add). In any case, the technician arrived and was very pleasant. When I went into the basement, I found my furnace in pieces on the floor. When I expressed surprise, the technician told me that this was the way the company performed their ?inspection and cleaning?. My furnace is 11-12 years old and is a high-efficiency model. The technician then proceeded to tell me that my secondary heat exchanger had corrosion on it and required replacement. And, his company never replaced just the secondary exchanger but would replace the primary as well. He showed me a ?video? taken with his cell phone that showed some rust on a part that he said was the heat exchanger. Imagine my shock when the $59 service call turned into a guesstimate of $2500 to $3500 to replace the two parts (which by the way would have to be ordered). I told him that I would have to think about such a costly repair. After putting everything back (I didn?t want to confront him with my skepticism as I am not very knowledgeable about furnaces) he then checked the carbon monoxide exhaust for the third time. The first time he checked the furnace before beginning the cleaning, the reading was 22 ppm; the second time it was 8 ppm. After his cleaning, the reading was ZERO ppm. I told him that I would have to think about such a costly repair and he further frightened me by saying that he had to turn the furnace off because he could not leave it running, knowing that based on his examination, it was unsafe. When I said that I had carbon monoxide detectors, he informed me that they only register when the reading was in excess of 400 ppm (a level way too high). Inasmuch as it is winter, I turned the furnace back on and he informed me that it was at my peril. Needless to say, I?m sure that this company is in the business of selling furnaces, and if this is their tactic to do it, rest assured I will never call them again. I would also not be surprised if the ?video? on his phone was already there before he ever crawled into my furnace for a ?look?.

They young man was very punctual and right on time. I am very happy with the service. The technician Andy was very informative and answered any questions that I had. He even gave me information that I hadn’t asked about. He called before coming out to make sure I was home.

The Service Technician arrived on time, was very pleasant, explained about the service that I had requested, gave me further information about the condition of my furnace. I will definitely use this company again - and will request the same Service Technician.

Arrived on time, provided the inspection/analysis exactly as requested. Communicated the results and discussed other services they offered. Scheduled a date to return in the Spring and evaluate the AC unit.

It went great! The tech did the most thorough cleaning job I have ever had done on the furnaces since we moved in 16 years ago. He gave us a detailed report and offered suggestions to keep the old furnaces running at their best. Although the total inspections and cleaning took over two hours, it was well worth it. A great Angie's list deal with a company we never used before.

Took advantage of the $59.00 furnace cleaning offer. The service technician, Jose, arrived on time, was extremely professional and spent 1.5 hours here. Then fully explained what he did and pointed out some issues with our 23 year old furnace. Will definitely recommend and use again.

Provider called me to let me know when he would be here and was prompt. He cleaned the furnace and checked the air from the vents. He wore paper covers on his shoes and cleaned up after himself. He looked at my humidifier, as I told him I was thinking of removing it since it did not work, and he said it was working fine. He gave me a price for removing it, for vent cleaning, and for replacing a water heater. He did not push any of it and said call if I wanted to do any of it. He was very professional and courteous.

The technician was on time and explained what he saw. He walked me through what we needed and what he would recommend.

Getting an appointment is a little difficult but they were very responsive nevertheless. They replied to all my emails and calls timely. I liked their professionalism. They were prompt to come to the appointment, and were warm and professional as well. the tech was Gus and he really knows what he's doing. He listened to all my concerns and took his time. I am very well pleased with Gus.

I had not had my heater inspected in 2 years and got this service for a winter tune up. After purchasing the deal, they contacted me that day and set up an appointment 2 days later. The technician called and showed up on time. He walked me through what he was performing, showed me how to clean the attached filters (I had no idea they were there) and cleaned and tested the heater. Great guy - very informative. He also offered me other services - but none of them were a heavy pitch to up sell, but I appreciated knowing what else they provided and the discount for already being a customer. At no point did I feel pressured into participating. Very glad I got this discount. They were/are excellent.

Technician arrived on time, did thorough work, and answered all my questions. He was very knowledgeable and helped me understand what I needed to do for ongoing maintenance of my units.

Other than Customer service accidentally hanging up on me, all else was smooth. Tech was on time, did troubleshoot of our water heater...saw it can just be repaired vs. buying new, and told us such. Also gave estimate of new parts vs. new unit. Would use again...like responsiveness in getting out to our house after called. Purchased deal via their posting for coupon on service call...turned out that was all we needed to pay.

Everything from the first call, to pricing, service and followup went flawlessly. I would recommend Energy Services to anyone wanting to purchase a new furnace and A/C unit.

Energy Services provided a competitive quote for a complete replacement of our heating and AC system. They use Carrier, and based on the length of warranty vs. lennox and trane- we decided to go with them. We were very pleased with the install and quick turnaround given our lack of AC with 90 degree temperatures.

My experience was very pleasant. I scheduled and cancelled the appointment without any problems. Since I decided to go with another provider, there were no services performed. But, I will definitely keep this company in mind in the future.

Arrived when he was scheduled. Explained to husband workings of humidier and furnace. Priced out competitive work and figured I saved $100 buying the "big deal".
