They were pleasant and it went well. They came on time and completed all the work as expected.

They are very reputable and very honest.

All A's!! They came in after the previous vendor that had installed the malfunctioning unit. I didn't call the previous vendor. they had answered previous calls for this problem but fell short in the repair of said evaporator coil. they tried other means to repair this problem. energy services, however, tried logic and reasoning rather than bs.

The technician confirmed our appointment, and arrived as scheduled and on-time. He went right to work, checking & cleaning our system, insuring that everything was working properly & in good condition. Very courteous & professional! I am very happy with how this went, and would use Energy Services again.

Service man arrived within the time window estimate, diagnosed the problem, and then after consulting with me on course on desired course of action, fixed it on the spot. The AC was completely repaired on the same day I called. Very satisfied.

They were fine. They basically recognized an issue. It's not anything negative but not anything overly positive. What stood out to me was that there were two gentlemen and one seemed like he was training the other. It was okay. I didn't get too much out of it. It seemed rather quick. They were on time.

I wanted the clean & check prior to a graduation party so I would be sure not to have any problems with the air conditioning. Well, it did not work the day of the party. It turns out the repairman did not close the furnace door properly. Another person came out and fixed the next day. I was told I was overcharged $20 and they would give me a free furnace clean and check instead if I wanted. I said ok but never received it.

The repairman was cordial and punctual. He was informative as well. We purchased a biannual package because of his service.

It was okay. It ended up an additional hour and he charged me an hours additional fee.

The service technician called me at work at 9:51. I was told I would be first call of the day. I waited until 9:30, then left for work.

They did a good job. He convinced me that I needed a starter kit and I was glad he sold me that. The A/C would leak every time I would turn it on.

Technician was very professional but I thought he took a very long time to do the job. He was here for about 1-3/4 hours. Maybe that's standard, but it just seemed like a very long time. The only issue I have is with the high-pitched whistling noise we hear every time the unit is running. It's a noise we never had before he came out, and it started after the tune up was completed. We noticed it that day but I never contacted Energy Services to address the issue. That's on me. It doesn't seem to affect the unit's performance, but I know it's something we need to remedy. Otherwise, I thought they were very good.

Although he was informative she was a little abrupt and did not seem to want to answer all of my questions and seem to be in a hurry to leave.

Quoting - We called to request a quote. Eric got back to us in a short time to set up an appointment and he arrived promptly at the agreed upon time. Talk about someone that knows his business. He is an engineer and went through the process in an Engineer like manner. He knew about the equipment we had and has a great understanding of the HVAC equipent and technology, We originally were looking for a replacement for the AC, being that the AC was 23 years old as was the furnace it made sense to take on the whole project. He explained why that made the most sense but it was obvious. Eric wen through our options of Energy efficient systems and the pros and cons of the various alternatives, Energy Efficiency vs. cost of both the AC and the Furnace. He explained the efficiency terms in a clear manner that helped. He went through the approximate energy savings of each option. He also explanied the energy credits available with each option or combination of options. Not easy. He developed the quote on the spot. We had all the options in front of us before he left on one sheet of paper, and he also helped me summarize the total number in a format that made sense to me. 4 options clearly understandable. In his pricing he explained the energy credits the potential discounts etc. He asked if we could sign now - that is thier job. I told him we do not do business that way and he was fine with that. Thanked us and left. A couple of things that made them different. The quality of Eric in the quoting process. The ability of him to clearly explain the options and the cost. Their offer to file all the papers for the Energy Credits with Nicor and Comm Edison and deduct that amount from the cost up front. The financing offer they provided. Nobody mentioned the type of offer they provided. Shame on the others. Not the main reason for going with them but the icing on the cake. INSTALLATION Steve and Mike were there at the agreed upon time to begin the process. Eric was there to discuss his ideas and what he saw in the quoting that needed to be done and how he thought things would go. He was here for an hour talking with them and making sure we were ok with the plans etc. Nice touch to stay for a short time. . Steve was the lead installer and knows his stuff. They got right to work, asked a few questions during the day and worked through lunch. The put cloths on the floor leading to the lower level and to the work area. They we professional in appearance and attitude. Before they left we went over all the controls, switches etc. How they worked, the settings, where the manuals were etc. In this process Steve showed me the new filter involved and how to replace it. Also suggested that we have the duct work cleaned based on the filter he just installed. It was dirtier than I would have expected after 1 hour of operation. Over all this was a great experience. More $ involved than when we thought just needed the AC fixed but after 23 years I guess I should not complain. I feel we got great value for our money. The company does a great job in training thier people on the issue of customer service and reliability and understanding the equipment they offer and the technology involved. .

Provider checked to understand why the air flow from our heating/cooling system was not flowing. At the time the provider came out, the air flow was working. After checking the ac unit, the provider explained we had a large coolant leak, which is causing the ac unit to run nonstop. By doing so, eventually the ac unit turned into a big block of ice cause no air flow through the system. This was good to know, however, they required another charging fee to find the leak and then another charging fee to fix the leak and another fee to refill the coolant. Some of these fees make sense, but not all. Company not very forthright on all the fees that may come up. Then I was told that it may make sense to buy a new unit instead. Now this made it feel more like a sales pitch rather than trying to fix what's wrong with my current unit.

A quick efficient and well documented repair was conducted on our A/C unit. Quick turn around time.

Very Thorough in inspecting my 26 year old A/C unit. Found capacitor needed replacement but didn't push service or product on me. Inspector very professional and took a lot of readings. I apparently didn't need a pound R22 after readings and found it hard to believe.

John came out from Energy Services. He asked questions right away concerning the unit, checked the labels for past services, age, and then got down to business right away. He did show me the extent of how dirty it was, and said that given its age (20 yrs.) it was actually running well (both interior and exterior units). He did say that it was not common for units to run for so long, and that we would probably have to replace it some time soon. We agree; it's pretty loud when it runs and makes terrible squeaky noises which he says are due to age. He did explain a maintenance package that Energy Services provides which I did buy, as we had been neglectful of keeping up with our A/C and furnace. He was not pushy at all, very matter of fact, very professional. We're glad to know that we have this maintenance package with them.

This service was purchased via an Angie's List $66 coupon. The scheduling was easy and the technician Javonte arrived on schedule. Javonte was polite and very professional. He determined my system was not cooling and was low on refrigerant. I am an engineer and I agree with his diagnosis. I do most of my own appliance and HVAC repair. like most of us, I am not licensed to handle refrigerant. My system is 20 yrs old. However, his estimate for adding additional refrigerant was $92 per pound plus included a charge of $120 to replace a worn, but still operating, contactor. The estimate did not include labor costs for additional servicing such as a leak trace and repair. The system may have required as much as five additional pounds of R22 ($460.00). If I were to buy their seasonal maintenance pkg the prices for refrigerant drops to $81/lb and $102 for the contactor. I did not get a written quote for the maintenance agreement and do not remember if Javonte even got to the point he could give it verbally. The system had a similar problem in 2014 and I had 2 lbs or R22 added at $75 per lb. Javonte gave me the standard speech about R22 being phased out in a few years, hence the high price. Meanwhile, I had already researched R22 cost and could see that the HVAC service providers can get it at below $14 per pound. My actions were as follows: 1. I thanked Javonte and asked him to add the one pound of refrigerant included in the coupon price. 2. I replaced the contactor myself at a cost of $19.99 plus 20 minutes of my time. 3. I immediately contacted an independent HVAC serviceman who charged me $50/lb of refrigerant and $60/hour labor. He found a leak at at a valve that he easily sealed. Total additional cost was $350.00. I personally find the HVAC companies discounted pricing in combination with a maintenance pkg to feel like extortion. Pricing R22 at 7X cost appears to be highway robbery. R22 is not scarce according to all the research I did. It does cost 3X the new federally required refrigerants but there is no justification to unethically deceive potential customers or overprice materials. Anyone reading this should consider choosing their A/C service company based on getting upfront best quotes for refrigerant. I know I will.

Provider independently seconded the opinion of another service provider in terms of what was wrong with our furnace. Energy Services offered a better replacement for a lesser price, though, so we went with ES for the replacement furnace. Their technician also seemed more open about issues and costs, which we appreciated.

He did a good job. He provided maintenance yo my older AC unit and ID'd the part I need to keep an eye on & what symptoms the unit will experience when it fails so I know what to look for. He also thoroughbred cleaned the AC UNIT
